I'm saying it could be seen that way. That's why I'd present the situation, but allow the player to respond however she desires. But I guess it's water under the bridge now...
As I mentioned, it wasn't my intention to "take away the agency" from no one, I was just trying to have a fun game. I am sorry it did come out that way.
And I'm sorry I misconstrued it as such. It was not in any way meant to be an insult to your GMing style--it was simply a concern I had.

The hotel's going to be NUTS for the next two weeks, specifically the WEEKENDS TO REMEMBER!!!
It's a retreat set up by a bunch of churches across the country to send couples for a weekend of marriage-counseling and stuff at our hotel. Apparently they liked us so much LAST year that this year they're doing it TWICE!

Starting Monday schools are closed for 3 weeks and Catholic churches are closed until further notice.

Yup my workplace is considering a work from home option as the NY infected count rises.
I can catch up on my beauty coma.
Our workplace has instituted an optional work-from-home policy, and a good chunk of people are doing it. I manage a computing lab with a small data center (about 70 server systems) and have been asked how well we can support a telecommuting work force in case the offices are closed to nonessential staff.
And it was just announced this morning that public schools will close through the end of the month. So my wife's Spring Break starts a week early, and runs an extra couple of days (break here is the last week of March).
We have 3 weeks off, including Spring Break. It does not look like we will have to make up the time.
That Weekend to Remember I talked about last time? Yeah, that got cancelled. The SCHOOL PLAY my sister was directing (she's student-teaching to get her degree in Theater Education) has been cancelled!

The FCC just put together a Keep America Connected Pact, which most of the major cable companies are participating in. Provides basic internet to anyone that needs it, including free installation.
I'm actually still working like everything's normal, which is SURREAL given how empty the hotel is and that the Mall of America is closed.

I'm considered an Essential Infrastructure Worker...because I answer phones in a luxury hotel...
Happy I get to work from home. Technically considered essential though I'm on the Social Media team for a nationwide Telecommunications team

Check out your local Cable companies. There's a Keep America Connected pact by the FCC. Some of the participants are providing basic internet for free for at least the first two months to support education.
