Cireladwen |
Both rope and a grappling hook should be in my inventory. I did pay for them at character creation.
Fire laden considers the idiocy of her next move carefully. Maybe she'll just popin and out... It isn't often that she gets to enjoy moving around on an unmoored vessel. Thinking this, she removes her grappling hook and rope, trying to get a firm feed on the crow's nest.

Nope ...you are good to go cireladwen.
Cireladwen tosses her grappling hook and it catches the mast by the crows nest bucket (its more of a bucket than a platform). The archer in the crows nest. perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16 Looks at the hook and then follows the rope up the cliff. "Above us...above us."
Chell Silves |
"Pearl? What pearl? I can give you water breathing but I think a surprise attack is a little late at this point." Seeing the galley coming, Chell rises and sends out a wave of positive energy to repair some of the damage.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
Channel: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 3) = 13
If they reach/have bows I actually want to throw up a wind wall. If I am not sure I channel to heal.
Edit: F10-E10 should do it.

chell you see men on the galley with bows. they appear to be opening cages, at least the ones that you can see. the only person who can see everything on the galley is Cireladwen because of her height. the group on the sloop really only see what is happening on the foredeck and crows nest.
Also the galley is larger ship then yours. It has several decks.

The captain and Jenkie continue to sail the ship, "Get ready to drop sail...and get the boarding hook. If any of you have grappling hooks you're gonna need 'em and be ready to climb cause we are lower than it."
sailor: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (19) + 19 = 38
the capt has the sloop lined up perfectly for hooks to be through next round.
Everyone can make another perception check.

You can see four more smugglers on the sandy beach, their actions are cool and calm. You can see the anchor line towards the rear of the ship. All netting appears to be rolled up.
There is a dark shadow in the water between the galley and the beach.

Astrianna Sparacello |
Row closer! I want to hit them with my club.
Haha. I love you Torgue. Torgue40k
Astrianna gives Sorrin a look she has started to personally reserve for the warrior whenever something comes out of his mouth that she does not agree with. Her face is contorted somewhere between exasperation and confusion.
"The hells do we need it intact for? This is either a sudden interest in thievery, hypocrisy, or both. Ahh... Perhaps.... Is piracy the only way you can get that dry cactus of yours to stand up straight?" She snarks, all the while preparing to board the ship.
The bard looks at Chell, and the confident demeanor from the rest of the fight is suddenly shaken. "What?... I do not like this. They could have a royal flush to our four-of-a-kind, and we just put all our coin on the table. We do not know what's on that ship..."
Sorrin the Wayward |
Less talk, more action... waif. Did you wet your fashionable boots? You're starting to stink of fear..
Sorrin, doesn't bother looking at her. He continues watching the last cliff archer.
Astrianna Sparacello |
Astiranna clicks her tongue as she digs through her bag for a rope. "I never wear my fashionable boots while on a job! You know that. I also don't like to rush into a situation uninformed, so I'll take it you're volunteering to go up first."
She glances towards the archer. "I won't miss next time."
Chell Silves |
"*sigh* Its a good thing bickering doesn't prevent them from focusing on the people trying to turn us into quivers," Chell comments to Embrianna.

I'm putting more ranks in perception next level, damn it. I was going to put a bunch of ranks into Perform: String, but I should prioritize staying alive.
Round 6
Inspire Courage Active: +2 attack/damage/save vs fear and charm
Astrianna is finished bothering Sorrin and pulls up her longbow next to him. "Got him." She says confidently, the magical arrow cool on her cheek as she aims for the last archer's chest.
Loosing smoothly, she watches for a moment to see if it hits, and then reaches into her Haversack to start spooling out 50 feet of silk rope. "If someone doesn't have a grapple, take my grappling arrow from my sack, and start tying it onto this rope."
Her eyes scan the edge of the ship, and look from the fog cloud. She says in a low voice. "I'm going to make an illusion of another boarding party to confuse them as our first wave ascends."
Free Action: Maintain Inspire Courage (10/16)
Standard Action: Longbow attack on archer B3
longbow attack on B3, inspired: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 6 + 2 = 21
damage, inspired, +1 magic arrow: 1d8 + 1 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 1 + 1 + 2 = 10
Move Action: Retrieve 50ft of silk rope from haversack
In the future, I should have the grapple arrow pre-tied to it. More efficient!
Cireladwen |
"Ow. That was unnecessary," Cireladwen announces, glaring at the bowman, her ears twitching back like a threatened animal.
"I just wanted to investigate, but if you're going to play that way..."
Her eyes widen as he drops.
(elven)"...I didn't even threaten him yet," she mutters.
