As your climbing your feet feel the crunching of slate and shingle slide off the roof, you look down at one of the openings to see reinforced metal and masonry underneath the "decrepit" exterior. All is not what it appears from the outside.

Those who are using spider climb your climb rate is 20 feet or 40 feet if you use a full round to move.

spider climb:

The subject can climb and travel on vertical surfaces or even traverse ceilings as well as a spider does. The affected creature must have its hands free to climb in this manner. The subject gains a climb speed of 20 feet and a +8 racial bonus on Climb skill checks; furthermore, it need not make Climb checks to traverse a vertical or horizontal surface (even upside down). A spider climbing creature retains its Dexterity bonus to Armor Class (if any) while climbing, and opponents get no special bonus to their attacks against it. It cannot, however, use the run action while climbing.

Azreal is only 20 feet high on the side of the building daniel. He had to move to the building, then he climbed up 20 feet. He still has a long climb to go to get to the roof. Remember there is 100 feet of rope dangling from the crawl space to the ground near where Azreal is located.

Orsin is 30 feet high since he had less distance to cover before he arrived at the house.

Azreal:

He notices a caretaker's house leaning on the mainhouse and there is small hitching post there. There is also a door leading to the caretaker's house under the leaning archway.

Daniel was less surprised at the form of the remark, for Andrea did seem the promiscuous type, however the timing mid combat threw him off that he had to assume a defensive stance to get a moment of respite to refocus.
