Anset Ossari
Anset, having said his piece, waited for the others to decide. Amal was the one in the most immediate danger, so Amal's opinion carried the most weight with Anset.
Malik Adraza
Malik shifts his weight from foot to foot, considering their options before voicing his opinion, "I think it may be prudent to quickly check those small tunnels down that hall. Perhaps if everyone agrees then returning to the room with the mummified cats and checking that northward door would be a reasonable course of action to take afterwards."
Amal Tabloorasa
Amal just peers at everyone for a moment before shrugging. "Eh.. I'm just going to check out some tunnels." Amal moves the other room, peaking before making his way through, checking for any traps along the way. Eventually, he finds himself at the bottom of the steps before the tunnels, looking back to see if any of the others were following before continuing forward and peering down each tunnel.

Anset Ossari
Anset was suddenly a little concerned with Amal's cavalier attitude regarding clearing the tomb. The dangers they had run into so far clearly indicated that this place should be handled with great caution. He said nothing though. He simply shook his head slightly, sighing and following behind.

As Amal rushes to checkout the tunnels, a few of his friends rush to follow. As he heads down the steps towards the tunnels in the dim light a sudden soft green glow appears in the tunnels as two housecat-sized beetles that are a dull brown color brightened by two glowing green-yellow spots on their carapaces come out into the passage.

Sorry, can't access the map at work, but you said I got some line of sight so I suppose I can target a beetle
Get some cover, Amal!
Saedue is quick to react at this new threat, and mix some chemicals in a vial, before throwing the bomb towards the farthest beetle
Throw bomb: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
The bomb fall perfectly on the creature
The other Beetle got 4 dmg, both got a Ref save for half damage. Can I crit on my bomb throw? if so:
Crit?: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
extra damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Surprise Round
Dumah lets fly with the axe he holds, trying to strike the beetle presenting the more immediate threat to Amal. The axe flies wide, however, due to Dumah's concern about accidently striking his comrades.
Throwing axe vs. beetle in B9.

Delaying my action until after the beetles. I'm afraid I'd be in the way if I moved forward. Lets see how hard these things hit before I decide what to do.

Surprise Round Results (Partial)
This covers everyone in the surprise round except Anset who held his action.
Amal takes a step back toward the group as he draws his shortswords while alerting the rest of the group about the incoming menace. Saedue is quick to react at this new threat, and mix some chemicals in a vial, before throwing the bomb towards the farthest beetle. Her throw arcs over the heads of Anset and Amal and strikes true to the target. The beetle tries to dodge out of the way but the bomb is just to explosive as it blows apart with the fiery flash. The other beetle can't excape the fiery splash and sizzles and burns as the liquid touches its carapace. The liquid somehow interacts with the beetle that it destroyed now electrical arcs can be seen sparking as the fragments of that beetle flashes out of existence. Then suddenly Saedue flashes out of exsistence. A second later Saedue appears where the destroyed beetle was and the pieces of the destroyed beetle appear where Saedue was a moment ago.
Dumah lets fly with the axe he holds, trying to strike the remaining beetle. The axe flies wide, however, due to Dumah's concern about accidently striking his comrades.
The injured remaining beetle turns it's attention to Saedue who just appeared next to it. It bites into Saedue's ankle ripping the flesh from the bone.

Round 1 Group 1(Final)
Amal takes this chance to move towards the remaining beetle, slashing it with his swords. His first strike the beetle easily scurries its smoking carapace out of the way causing Amal to miss completely striking only the sandy floor, however as it shifted Amal was ready and his second sword struck straight down in to the back of the bug. Driving his sword deep until he heard a satisfying crunch that signaled that his prey was dead. The only thing that remained was the greenish glow from the glands on its carapace.

Saedue Menura
Amal, Anset, thank you for the timely healing and rescue. I still don't know what happened when I used my bomb, that was fully unexpected. Do you think there was some kind of mystical trap that the explosion triggered?
Saedue inpect her smooth skin on her leg, where Anset healed her
Nicely done. Really.
Then she looks at the dead beetles body, searching for anything that could be useful for future alchemical experiences
Do the beetle still glow now that they are dead?
bwatford
Dumah moves down to the end of the corridor and inspects the area. The area at the foot of the stairs looks like it was never excavated, it looks like the tomb was having an addition added and then the work suddenly stopped for some reason, peering into the few small tunnels you see they lead off in random directions. The size of the small tunnels make them inaccessible even by a small sized creature unless they were dug out further.
Saedue meanwhile goes to work on the beetle, finding that its glowing glands are easily removed with her longsword by just hacking them off. Their anatomy simple enough. The length of time they would glow was unknown.
Please let me know how you are storing the light gland Saedue.

Saedue Menura
Saedue seems excited and proud to have proved her worth by blasting a beetle into oblivion with her bombs. She has an happy smile on her face, and seems more talkative than ever.
That not relevant to the situation, but does any one of you read Elvish? Cause I own two healing potions...
She shows her bandolier, where multiple vials are worn
and I engraved a symbol in Elvish langage on each flask so I could recognise them by touch only. It seemed a good idea at the time, but if i'm badly hurt, i'd prefer not to take the risk to have a random vial of acid emptied in my throat...

Dumah moves back into position next to Bjoern and once again opens the doors to the steps leading down that they had opened previously.
Peering past the now open doors you see more stairs leading down for about another ten feet and end at yet another set of double stone doors, the doors at the bottom of the steps are unadorned and made of smooth sandstone. Even cooler air can be felt coming from below.

The group of adventurers regroups and prepares to go deeper into the tomb, Saedue's makeshift lantern casting a eerie green glow around her. Bjoern holds his sunrod high and looks down the steps at the next set of doors.

Saedue checks the stairway and the next set of doors for anything she can find. She doesn't find anything out of the ordinary except for the drop in temperature at the bottom of the stairs from the deeper depth. The next set of doors are plain and unremarkable but they look heavier and thicker like the first few doors the group came across when entering the tomb. These doors must be a dividing point between the outer and inner tomb.

Anset Ossari
Anset smiled at his companions ingenuity again. His Ankh added it's own warm glow to the mixture of lights they carried.
Light still up, as a reminder. Moving to H6.
bwatford
As Bjoern nods the ok Dumah throws his shoulder into the big heavy stone doors. They creak as they are opened, a hiss releasing air from below that has not be stirred in thousands of years. Peering forward beyond the doors only to reveal more steps continuing down on the other side. It was strange having a doorway in the middle of a flight of steps but that looks like exactly this was. The stairs descended another ten feet until they reached another set of double doors. Even cooler air came from below.

Malik Adraza
Malik grimaces at the strangeness of a door in the middle of a staircase and gestures to the others still at the top of the steps, "Should we head down then? I'd prefer to stay in the back, I am not much use up close."
