For his standard action
Rhok sways on the stairs. Again he goes rigid. His head jerks backward, not like he threw it back, but like it was yanked back by an invisible force. Spittle flies from his lips as he cries, "The end comes!"

Cast Divine favor.

After reviewing the posts since we left the Defender's Heart inn, I think Rhok's only down the bless spell I cast for him last round. With casting divine favor, he has 5 spells left today. Incidentally, my favorite post for someone playing Rhok other than Vatnisse was ithuriel's intimidation manuever with poetry and body spasms.


Wendaug inflicts a flesh wound on the schir as Rhok clambers frothing up the stairs.

The schir spots that Kira is looking injured and swings at her with its halberd.

Schir attacks Kira. If the halberd drops her, it will gore Mulluq.

If we want to retcon, we can have Rhok channel energy to heal, but I'm not sure he can do so selectively or how many channels he has available. I think it would be better for Kira to withdraw and let Jod stop into her spot - if I'd been thinking, I would have suggested that he delay to do just that on her turn.

just wanted to point out who was a bit stuffed for hp.

Mulluq tires of the goat-headed schir, but his focus must always be placing the lives of others before his own, and Kira was looking rough. He needed them to leave her alone, and he needed help on the front. His meager healing would not be enough to help her. Taking a deep, barking breath, he huffs with a snort. Before moving purposefully forward in the line, shield held protectively before him.

As he pushes his way forward past the two big nasty creatures, he says, "Lady Valerious, I will draw their ire that you may leave while they are distracted." trying to urge her to take the chance to step back from the melee.

Sol looks at all the backs between him and Mulluq, and Kira. Frustrated, he digs in his backpack and draws out his tanglefoot bag. He lobs it over everyone's heads at the left hand teifling.

Toss at AJ9, pointblank, precise shot: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 4 + 1 = 16 I think I get -2 for range? Double check that.


Tanglefoot Bag: A tanglefoot bag is a small sack filled with tar, resin, and other sticky substances. When you throw a tanglefoot bag at a creature (as a ranged touch attack with a range increment of 10 feet), the bag comes apart and goo bursts out, entangling the target and then becoming tough and resilient upon exposure to air. An entangled creature takes a –2 penalty on attack rolls and a –4 penalty to Dexterity and must make a DC 15 Reflex save or be glued to the floor, unable to move. Even on a successful save, it can move only at half speed. Huge or larger creatures are unaffected by a tanglefoot bag. A flying creature is not stuck to the floor, but it must make a DC 15 Reflex save or be unable to fly (assuming it uses its wings to fly) and fall to the ground. A tanglefoot bag does not function underwater.

Hearing his companions’ cries of triumph when the goat-demon falls, Kaygan pushes past Rhok and aims his wand over the top of the melee at the flying stag-eagle.

Ghroth leaps upward to grab a rafter and digs in with his claws. One hand after the other he swings above the fray and drops down between the tieflings and peryton. The eidolon lashes out at the peryton as he lands, but more as a feint than anything serious.

With the schir finally disposed of, Mulluq turns his attentions to the odd winged and antlered creature. Returning to a more aggressive approach, he lashes out with both sword and fang. With the thing mostly surrounded, he lays into it with abandon.
