So here goes...
I was thinking of creating a sentient mushroom man that uses the force.
He should wear a poncho and have his 'cap' pierced around the edges with rings that dangle tassels like a large sombrero.
I have been considering incorporating Dia de los Muertos (day of the dead) designs on the cap. But I haven't decided yet.
With psionic/force effects I was thinking of going with a name like Mace Winshroom or Qui Gon Shroom but that seemed too easy. So, I am leaning towards Puerta Bella as sort of a South/Central American play off of portabella.
This is just a frame work so far. Let me know what you think. Any guidance or suggestions would be appreciated.
Also, are there any special requests as to what the party really needs?
EDIT: Aaarrgh! Paizo doesn't have any mushroom avatars.

What do you mean by "intro"? (Sorry, been having a slow day, mentally-speaking).

You know, introduce yourself? Walk into the pawn shop, take a look at what's being sold and make some small talk, that sort of stuff.

SO whatcha gonna do after you become the new superstar, Patrick?
LOL, Don't think that's gonna happen. But I am happy I got my submission in this year at least. I wish I had a grip on the mechanics like some do, I can write the hell out of fluff, but the crunch always gets me.

I guess now would be a good time to learn.
Meh. I been playing these games since Carter was in office. I have a mental block about memorizing the mechanics, just like my mental block about calculus. I have all the books, though, and plenty of time to study them should the unlikely event that I get in the contest occur. That and a lot of number-friendly folks who I'm sure will double-check my math for me.

Yah, it's just the graphics. Sometimes a good idea falls behind because it didn't get the right presentation.
Oh yah. Plus when I map up I am usually more of the 'down and dirty' because I dont want to spend a whole lotta time on a PbP map. I'm sure I would be asking for tips and tricks when the time comes to make my maps pretty.

... and you guys are creative powerhouses.
Me, I'm a Migrus Locker type. Most of the stuff I see lacks the Migrus spark.
Anyone with a Migrus submission gets my thumbs up. After that it's just a little twist on a spell and cleverness with mechanics. That's the best you can get.
I think the mechanics are a killer (definitely for me, still have not read PFRPG rules), yet I see stuff on that list that a mechanically f&+~ed (eg. the key)... and really, that example is not at all original in the Migrus sense. I've been using knock keys or magic skeleton keys since I started DMing in 1984.
Anyway. Guy and Patrick, I'd love to see any storyline you write... lairs... villains.

Wow! Thank you for those kind words Kruelaid!
For the record I love the Colaman, really a fun character, and I love the back and forth that my little psychopath and he have going on together!
The plot twist Patrick laid out for Karrin was wonderful BTW, something he cooked up almost two years ago, from the very early days of the silver rose campaign, and only now has been revealed. Karrin needed to the courage to confront Veria the devil though and had you still been around I'd have had Karrin beg Eir to accompany her :)

Unfortunately it has been 21 days since my post and that doesn't bode well for me being able to keep up with the game. Thanks for the invite. If real life lightens up then maybe I will be able to follow up on the mushroom man. Until then, I will still be reading. I look forward to the game continuing...

It's that time of the year again - I'm headed off to the annual International Studies Association conference on Friday and won't be back until next Monday. If it is anything like the previous conferences, the hotel will charge such exorbitant rates for internet connections that I'll be offline until the whole thing is over. :(
Roach is easy - just keep drinking, swearing and shooting stuff, and nobody will even notice that I'm gone.

How far in the future is this again?
Also, have any of you ever read The Book of Dave by Will Self?

Wow, Shiny I somehow missed this post. Yeah its currently 2208 CE. The big meldown happened exactly 100 years ago in 2108. Never read the book, I'll hafta check it out ...

Hey folks. Today, thanks to several converging things I have made a descision to take a sabbatical from being online for a while. I apologize that this will mean I wont be posting updates, but I am sure I will return at some point. Thank you all for being part of my madness and I hope we can resume at some point in the future.

Hey folks. My life is actually settling down quite a bit better than I had anticipated. I think that I will be able to resume a regular posting style a few weeks earlier than I had anticipated. If you guys haven't moved on, I will be more than happy to resume the mantle of GM.
Hey K you getting ZDay back online? C'mon, stop dilly-dallying about and fire that mother up!
