Maka grimaced as the warrior's blade drew blood. Maka had been careless in her positioning, and her opponent was an experienced combatant. Maka took a form stance, her toothy grin spread from ear to ear. Maka might be highly proficient at blasting foes from afar, but it wasn't nearly as much fun as melee combat.

The triaxian warrior continued to prove himself a skilled combatant, as his blade again bit into Maka's flesh. Thankfully Maka twisted away in time, avoiding the worst of the blow. Maka's toothy grin unbroken by the pain. It had been too long since she'd had a good, honest fight. With a roar Maka unleashed a fiery flurry of blows upon the warrior.

Sakito emits a low growl when the sorcerer jumps out of the way of the pit. She starts to prepare another spell when Fin unleashes a barrage of arrows that fell the enemy. "Go Fin!" she shouts and pumps her fists in the air. A surge of pride fills her at the sight of her new love's prowess. A loud thumping noise draws her attention to the creatures attacking the tower. She doesn't know why they are trying to break in but it doesn't matter. Then need to be stopped.

Spinning in the air she faces them and then closes her eyes. She starts waving her arms in the air up and down like flapping wings but slower. With her eyes still closed she starts a chant.

Casting Mad Monkeys. Takes a full round. BTW, if you've looked at MM in 2e, they seem to have nerfed it quite a bit there.

Perhaps this is because he sees Maka and Quasit hack his friend to within an inch of his life. Even as Fin shoots him with his arrows, he moves around Maka and attacks her.

Quasit finishes off the warrior between her and Maka, and then Maka, Fin, and Sakitu's monkeys finish off the other, leaving only the two to the south. Bulvi gets a good hit in on his target, while Chest Thumper's claws tear into the other.

The remaining two warriors fight back.

GM: I think you mentioned earlier the towers are 30’ high; assuming that, Fin has slow fall (20’) as a 4th level monk (makes falls near a wall 20’ less) and with an acrobatics DC15, he can negate the first 10’ of damage so he should be able to jump down with no damage…if that’s not right, let me know and I’ll alter his action…

Seeing no other foes in sight, Fin hops down from the parapet, using his monkly skill to slow the fall, making an acrobatic maneuver…

It looks to Sakitu like her friends will defeat the remaining guards quickly enough but something else will arrive soon. She is sure. She glances at the swarm of monkeys. They are screeching and jumping up and down in place, ignoring the fallen body of the guard. They will have to wait. There's not enough room to bring that swarm into combat with the other guards without putting her own friends at risk.

It's not much, she knows, but she decides to help even in a small way. She unslings her bow and shoots at the guard flanked by Quasit and Chest Thumper.

Agaon, Selena starta patrolling to the next tower, thinking about the pattern of attacks so far to see if can figure out what the overall strategy of the enemy forces is.

Is the castle designed appropriately for a world of flyers, or is it a stupid real world castle design with open courtyard and such that makes one wonder why the enemy doesn't just attack the interior with rocks/bombs/flechettes dropped from on high followed up with soldiers landing at interior doors to immediately go inside and take the fort from within?

Fin then runs and gathers the durable arrow he fired, retrieving him from the dead bodies of the sorceror and warriors, plus any strays...
