Gene runs over and pulls Akkad out of the fray.
Move to Akkad, unstrap shield as free action so Gene can use his shield hand. Standard action to reposition Akkad.
Reposition: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
GM_IamZero000 |
so embarrassing side note i don't know how reposition works.
two of the dog's manage to bite the monster, sinking their teeth into it's arm. it understandably takes offense to this and tears one of them to shreds and continues by turning it's attention toward the other dog. 1 dog downed. Next round for pc's
Alata |
Alata |
Right, I pictured the monster as standing above you and therefore occupying the same square. But since it's just a natural attack, it's in a another square. Okay.
Alata's tattoos glow a bright red as she charges the monster. Bright red wisps emerge from the tattoos encircling her.
Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
Damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Spirit Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Spirit Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Akkad Min-Alqadima |
Si.
Akkad goes along with the swordsmans plan quite willingly, but only after suppressing the urge to shout demeaning things about him.
"YOU- Oh. Well very good, this was a desirable outcome."
Akkad: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17 -4 for firing into melee. Also vs. Touch AC
Acid orb: 1d3 ⇒ 3
Attack Dog 1: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Bite: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Attack Dog 2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Bite: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
-------------------------
Confirm?: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Crit damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6Actually, one dog should be flanking now right?
Coin flip, 1=dog 1, 2=dog 2: 1d2 ⇒ 1
The remaining dog circles around to the other two, trying to find a way to get into position to maul the antagonist. Oughta be 16 damage, 19 if Acid orb hit.

Gene restraps his shield as he moves in next to Alata. Wielding his sword with both hands, he strikes hard at the monster.
Power Attack w/ Furious Focus: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
Critical Confirm: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10 (Probs not a hit)
Damage w/ Overhand Chop: 1d10 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16 (dealt as slashing damage)
EDIT: I just realized that I've been listing my armor class wrong. With the chainmail shirt and shield I believe it should come out as...
AC 18 (T 12, F 16)

well that happened....
The creature formerly known as bitey finds himself splattered all over the back wall by the barrage of attacks.
Combat over, he dun got splattered. Do we finish the remainder of the night or say screw it were up already? or some other form actions and options.
Akkad Min-Alqadima |
That depends entirely on whether it's the next day or not, I'd say.
Akkad will summon Vimana as the dogs drag the corpse out of his tent and messily feeding their maws. The summoner banishes the dogs after one of them starts getting too noisy with it's eating habits.
The fleeting ritual consists of minimal movement on Akkads part. Standing stationary, he moves his arms slowly. Methodically shifting position of his hands, extremities moving deliberately and in unison.
"I call the bones."
"I call the soul."
"So saith your lord."
"I call the guide."
"I call the sage."
"So saith your lord."
And upon completion, Vimana returns in a dark cloud. She bows to the
assembled company.
"Vimana. Identify what used to be that corpse. One of you, see what you can do about this bite." He gestures to the semi-eaten body, unfazed by it's current state.
"Of course sir."
Vimana Know. Religion: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10 Nice, glad I put the work into that.
Alata |
Alata stares captivated at Akkad's summoning ritual. She has enough wherewithal to respond to Vimana's bow with one of her own.
"You- You are a Spirit Channeler!" Alata's eyes are wide with shock as she speaks. "I knew the spirits would not send me away from the Forest without a proper guide! I knew it!
Alata bows her head respectfully to Akkad. "Honorable Master Conjurer, Prince Akkad Min-Alqadima, I am your spear. I will protect you and the spirit Vimana."
Akkad Min-Alqadima |
Akkad observes Alata as she speaks. A joyful smile grows across his face before he bursts into a hearty laugh.
"AH hah hah! I see you've grown to understand. You have chosen your loyalties well, Alata of the Faelindir." He walks closer to the full-blooded elf and stretches a hand out as an offering.
"I accept your service."
Akkad Min-Alqadima |
The prince turns his head briefly to look at Vimana, who's entirely preoccupied with studying the corpse. Then to the rest of the party before taking Alata's hand in a demonstration of the "procedure" as it were.
GM_IamZero000 |
where too, castle or cathedral? Never know what you might find in an old church, or i mean save the day your choice .also a tiny bit of information for getting a 10 at least, in case it effects things.
It's undead, though of type your not sure.
it seems to have a degree of intelligence.
Akkad Min-Alqadima |
"My lord?"
"Yes, Vimana?"
"I was unable to ascertain significant details of the assailant. Possibly due to the massive wounds. I was however able to learn one important detail. The monster was undead." The outsiders voice lowers as she speaks her last sentence. With grave importance.
"That leaves no doubt then. Regardless of whether I find what I seek in this castle, we have chosen our path of travel well. The undead are a wasting scourge upon us. We must proceed. But to the castle? Or to the cathedral?"
GM_IamZero000 |
majority say's castle, scenes coming right up
You all pack up the camp and make your way through the ghost town. The sun barely peeking through the dense tree line. A ruined fountain stands broken in the town center, to the left you see the dark remains of the cathedral, a mass of undead wandering around it though these appear to be nothing more than simple shambling corpses, the long since forgotten symbol of nethys carved into the stone. To the right your destination, castle Brinewall looming across a cobblestone bridge still in decent condition .
Heading down the right pathway, the castle stands much like everything else in ruins. The air stings your skin, it's almost chilling despite to warmth of the day. You begin approaching the castle, walking past the gateway and walls.
dungeon mode people, give mean a walking order, any checks you want to make, ect.
Alata |
"I will lead us into this unknown castle. Honorable Master Conjurer, Prince Akkad Min-Alqadima, I suggest you stay in the middle us so you may be protected on all sides. Gene of the Shadowhunters, you should be up front with me where your blade may do the most good. Horserider whose name I do not know, your mobility means you can protect the back while also responding to threats up front. Dwarf whose name I also do not know, your style of fighting is unknown to me. You wield that contraption as though it were a weapon. What is its function?"

"Sounds good to me." Gene keeps his sword out and his shield ready. He smiles at the way Alata continues to address Akkad and him, using full titles.
Targan Blacklock |
Targan looks at the Elf with some disbelief. "I go first!" He states. "Unless you've got some way of dealing with the traps and snares?"
He looks at Akkad "If'n you're needing protection perhaps you should head back to town with your admirer. This is a adventuring band, not an escort detail."
Shaking his head he continues. "Trap finder first, then some muscle behind him. Casters in the middle and the Elf can bring up the rear and protect her princeling."
As the only remaining member of the original crew Targan sees himself in charge. Feel free to debate the point. :)
Akkad Min-Alqadima |
Well, you see, Akkads here now. And he considers himself in charge on the grounds that he wants to.
"Do I detect a hint of jealousy in your tone Dwarf? I understand of course. One must be admirable to have an admirer. However, in an effort to work cohesively, I will agree with your proposed order." Akkad holds his head high as he speaks.
Alata |
Alata is mildly put off as Targan ignores her questions but quickly recovers.
"I do not have as much experience in setting or recovering traps and snares as I do in avoiding them, Dwarf whose name I do not know. If you think we will encounter them then please lead our group."
Targan Blacklock |
Targan looks at Alata. "Names Targan, of the Blacklock Clan. Maybe you could learn abit more about how the world works before going around pronouncifying things to one an all."
He ignores Akkad and checks his armor and equipment is ready before setting off for the castle.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11 And his tradition of being the RNG's favorite sucker continues.
Alata |
"Targan of the Blacklock Clan and Yoshi, it is good to have names to call you by." Alata smiles earnestly having not picked up on Targan's grumpiness or Yoshi's mild insult.
Alata holds a hand in front of Akkad to suggest he stay back. She has her spear in her other hand, ready to strike.
