Game Master Archae

a fresh beginning in a new type of apocalypse. The world is a jungle, Nethys has disappeared, arcane magic is weakening. So many mysteries...

Added you to the above list, Akkad. :)

Akkad Min-Alqadima:

Just wanted to check to see that you were aware that arcane magic is very weak in this world due to its current state and that all arcane spells will take a full round to cast as it takes more time to gather the energy to cast. I mention this, in particular, as you said your guy would be buffing allies. Thanks.

Oh aye. I accept the challenge. So hard.

Edit: I'm curious though, why the specific concern over buff viability?

Just timing of spells, especially in combat, nothing more than that. Good you're up for a challenge. ;)

I think we'd both be pleased with the results. After all, The eidolon can help mitigate that quite a bit. Even the mostly ornamental Knowledge monkey I made out of this one.

id like to say thank you everyone for your submissions, thank you to the current pc's for their opinions and assistance.
for those of you who might be worried about this, the decision is ultimately mine as the gm...of course i might also want a third to prevent having to do another recruitment.

i'm ending the recruitment officially in 4 hours, at that point it will be midnight my time.

i will have a decision sometime tommorow.

i will also pm the new recruits to shore any questions i have regarding the characters.

that is all, DISMISSED!

The polls are in people.

after some long hard thinking i made the decision to pick 3 people based off background and posting history/eagerness more than anything else.

Alata

Akkad

Eadgart Gene Penti

i would like you 3 to report to the discussion and gameplay tab, at that point i'll message you , i might have a question or two.

A few days belated but nonetheless, Congrats to everyone that got chosen and thank you, GM_IamZero000, for the consideration. :)

@Here4daFreeSwag: The proposed idea of re-rolls was only for hit points and not ability stats as those of us from the original recruitment didn't have re-rolls of 1"s so it's hardly fair to allow new players/characters that advantage. If people are unhappy with their rolls, there's always the alternative 15 pt buy. Thanks. :)

No worries, Seka of the Silver Wings- at that late point in the recruitment, it was suggested more in jest than anything (still, that 15 pt. buy did come in handy though). ;)

So a problem has arrisen that i did not forsee, we lost are divine caster.

We are looking for a non frontline divine caster.

level 3
1500 starting gold

if somehow you roll lower than 15 pt buy, you can use that instead.

otherwise everything else listed on page one

Party build so far is

Elf Barbarian
Half-elf Summoner
Human Two-Hand Fighter
Dwarf Rogue

We need a person who can heal. A wand of CLW is the best obviously. So a bard, cleric, shaman, witch, rogue with UMD, etc. is what we're looking for.

If I reroll my samurai3 as a samurai1/cleric of shizeru2, would that be acceptable? Or shift some stats and make him a full cleric of shizeru?
I would reall enjoy the chance to join this game!

Clerics are awesome! I've never been a fan of multi-classing but Samurai is a decent level 1 dip.

I obviously can't answer if the Tian Xia gods are allowed.

Worth noting is that said summoner does have UMD.

do either brah your choice, and tian xia gods are allowed. i think we all just want to get started again

Give me 5 more minutes and I am done.
Hp: 1d10 + 1d8 ⇒ (10) + (4) = 14

A 1 level dip in samurai works pretty well with cleric, full rqnge of proficiencies, and you still cast at the same rate as an oracle. I'd say you get more out of fighter IMO, but if samurai you want, then bushido it up.

Done!

question. where's your background/backstory? that part is kind or required before i can accept your submission and let you join

That was saved with my charactersheet at myth-weavers.
I will rewrite it tonight.

Isn't this it?

Silent snowflake falls on mountain,

blades cut through winter wind,
a fountain of crimson showers the victor

Backstory:

Yoshimitsu has been in three major battles and a handful lesser engagements, always on the losing side.
Not that he didn´t fight valiently, he did. Neither was he the first to run. No he wasn´t. But one simple man does not
decide a war or a battle. No matter how well he knows his style, no matter how good armored he is.
But those things can decide if he lives... or dies.
After a while Yoshimitsu learned two simple truths. Honor does not feed you when you are hungry. Glory does not warm you in the winter.
So he decided to become a mercenary. A sellsword. And he was a damn good one.
His school teaches the four elements. A strong stand. A keen eye. A fast strike. And endurance for the next opponent.
He stays true to his masters.
If you manage to buy his deeds, he is loyal, trustworthy and a very good bladesman. As long as you pay.
Just remember, he is a sellsword, no marauder. No women, no children, no innocents.

Outlook:

Yoshimitsu is a bull of a suli, very well muscled, with graceful movements for such a big man. His long black hair is braided through 18 brass rings.
He looks human, until you look into his eyes. Those silver pale orbs showing his true heritage. A faint scar follows his cheekbone and the tip of his left ring finger is missing.
His clothes and armor hide the rest of his many, many scars, by blade, arrow, tooth and claw.

Steed:

He also has a loyal steed. He named it Maelstrom.
The vendor said it was strong as stone, swift as the wind, enduring as the sea and spirited as fire.
Well actually the nag is only loyal if feed regulary with apples, is slow as stone, has almost no wind for long battles, is mean as the sea, and riding it sets your ass on fire.
But still Yoshimitsu likes it. He thinks the nag is fitting to him. And sometimes, sometimes the nag is a mean son of a hellhorse, biting in battle like a demon.

that looks to be all i need, good job guy's. yoshimitsu you see yourself to the threads over yonder while figure out a few things.

THANKS! Forgot I had also posted it here.
Now let me just rewrite it a bit. It was for a bull of a suli and not for a far lesser physical but more spiritual samurai
