The blood loss starting to get to her, Ryn strikes out at the ants around her, her movements slowing though she works to keep their focus on her.

Ada moves to where she can channel energy, but miss the spiders. Making sure she reaches Ulfr.

Ada's healing does wonders for the beleaguered Ryn & Ulfr. It's a shame none of Ryn's blows took advantage of her renewed energy to land any decisive hits.

Azura is up!

Azura moves alongside Ryn and tries to keep one of the ants busy to assist in Ryn's attacks.

As the ants begin their retaliatory strikes, Ulfr splatters one to pieces with one decisive blow.

The ants keep biting. One diverts its attention from Ryn to Zev...

Ada's healing is almost immediately undone. One ant bites deeply into Zev's armoured leg, and two ants savagely rip into Ryn, eager to feed.

6 damage to Zev, 11 to Ryn.

Saersha, Zev & the NPCs are up!

With little else of easy use Saersha tried sending out another glob of acid at the ant.

Zev attacks the ant.

Saersha's glob of acid flies into Zev's ant's face, causing part of its chitin to melt off. It chitters violently and shudders.

Zev's swing misses.

Embyr drops her hand crossbow, draws her short sword, and advances on the other ants from behind. Flanking Red with Ryn.

Natalya shifts her aim, reloads, and fires on Zev's ant...

Shot on Yellow: 1d20 ⇒ 4

...only for her shot to hit the floor.

The ants continue to bite!

Zev's wounded ant grazes him and the other misses.

Ryn fends off the one Embyr's flanking, only for the other to leap upon her back and sink its fangs into her neck. The pain sears through her, and it takes all her strength of will to not pass out...

Round 4: Ryn, Azura & Ada are up!

Ada touches Ryn on the shoulder, and heals her. "Do what you do best."

Ulfr, who is starting to look a little winded, steps up and delivers one of his trademark battle cries!

Yeah apparently ants think I'm delicious. That last bite took me down to 1hp. So at 10 now after the healing....actually 13 with Raging song

Does raging song stack with bard song?

In theory they should. They're both morale bonuses but to different things,... actually bardic song is +1 competence bonus on attack and weapon damage rolls!

With a wild shriek of fury, Ryn brings her shield up and behind her with brutal force, seeking to sever the offending ant's head. Even as she does, her posture shifts, perfectly balanced, defending from all sides as she fearlessly stares down her attackers, defiantly challenging them to keep coming, drawing their focus.

If you have 3 or more ranks in Acrobatics, you gain a +3 dodge bonus to AC when fighting defensively instead of the usual +2.

Azura similarly continues her bardic song, interwoven like an operatic music accompanying the drumbeat of the rage that now flows around the team. She caresses Ryn's shoulder as well, pushing the warrior back into battle.

Cure light wounds on Ryn: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

As Ryn is healed of her many bleeding injuries, her shield comes down on one ant's neck with a loud *CRUNCH*, sending shards of chitin & gobs of ichor everywhere. The ant wobbles, but somehow is still standing.

The bites keep on coming!

Zev gets nicked by another bite, and Ryn gets bitten again.

Saersha, Zev, Ulfr & the NPCs are up!

Just die already! Ulfr roars as he swings again.

Yelping and snarling Zev swings again.

In rapid succession, both Ulfr & Zev decisively cut down an ant. Only two remain!

Saersha & the NPCs are up!

As before so again Saersha sent a glob of acid out at the nearest of the ants.

Saersha's acid flies off-target and hits one of the anthills.

Embyr circles around to the other ant biting Ryn and stabs!

She manages to land a good hit on the ant's flank!

Natalya lines up a shot on that same ant...

...and the bolt flies into an anthill.

Round 5: Ryn, Azura & Ada are up!

Ada carefully moves around to where she can stab at the ant.

Azura once again darts in with her rapier to keep one of the ants busy so that Ryn can smash it.

Invigorated by Ada and Azura's support and fully committed to ending the threat, Ryn drops her defensive posture, unleashing her unrestrained fury on the giant insects.

Ada strikes a decisive blow, hewing off a chunk of the ant's abdomen.

Ryn, having finally had enough of the ants' b@&%~~~%, viciously decapitates one with her shield and crushes the other's skull with a savage kick.

Combat over.

Ulfr gasps and leans on his club. The tingle from his magic fades. Through heavy breaths he says, Will done, everyone! That was the best challenge I've had in a long time!

With the last of the ants finally dead Saersha finally entered the room the rest of the way. She was careful to step around the splattered remains of the bugs and made her way to Embyr. She nodded at her maid and said, "Nicely done Embyr, a reward is certainly in order later." She made her words suggestive by her tone and a naughty little laugh and the looked to the others, "Is everyone all right?"

Embyr blushes and nervously goes to collect her crossbow.

Everyone gather together and away from the ants. I'll channel." Ada stands in the middle of the group and channels positive energy.

Channel: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 1) = 4

Zev promptly steps towards the Shamaness on command, almost unconsciously. "Thank you." he tells her after.

Taking a deep breath as she feels the rage inspired by Ulfr die down, Ryn's eyes skip from one companion to the other, making sure they are all okay before closing her eyes for a moment. Looking first at Ada, then Azura she smiles. "Thanks for keeping me going, that was a close one."

"No kidding! Those ants were no joke!" says Azura after she lets her celestial singing die off. "Let's see if we need to plug up any ant-holes here before we continue."

The bard adjusts her armor and brushes off the goop from stabbing at, and being bitten by, the giant ants, and takes a quick look around - and a listen - to try to discern if there are more giant ants in the hive.

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12

Ulfr huffs, Let's get the stone and get out of here. I've had enough of this ruin.

"Yeah. Giant ants... bleh. Which way, Ada?"

"If I never see another ant again it will be too soon. Ryn mutters looking at the remaining bitemarks on her arms and legs.

"To the south I think. If that doesn't go anywhere, east. It should be around here somewhere." She moves close to Zev as the party moves out. "Good job Zev."

Azura hmmms a low note, kisses two fingertips, and places them against Ryn's arm.

"There. Kissed and made it better."

"Ahhh. All better!" Ryn says with a pleased sigh. "I could get used to having my boo boos kissed." she quips with a wink.

Finding amusement in Azura's method of healing Saersha said, "Hmmm, I may need to get injured next just to get one of those kisses."

"Kissing boo-boos does make it heal faster." Zev muses while nodding in agreement with his own statement.

"You should see what else I can do with kisses and fingers."

Ahem.

"So! What's down here?" asks the aasimar as she moves south, further into the room.

Grinning and shaking her head, Ryn follows the dazzling songstess, trying not to be too distracted by the view.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12

Putting aside the sluggishness of his body for the moment Zev smirks as he follows after the two women deeper in.

Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21

Saersha grinned at Azura's words wickedly and said, "Oh I'll bet." She moved up behind Azura and slid a hand around her waist down to her nether regions to light brush her fingers over the fabric there and asked naughtily, "You mean down here? A great many wondrous possibilities." She drifted back then to Embyr with a a sensually wicked laugh.

Ada blushes a bright green, and follows the others down the hallway.

Ulfr brings up the rear. He must be getting used to all the foreplay.
