A little smile coming to her lips, as Azura signals her readiness behind her Ryn stands a little straighter. "Alright boys and girls, let's get this done."
With no further hesitation, she strides forward, leading the way toward the sounds of danger.
Ada follows Ryn into battle. "I guess it's more spiders. How exciting." She looks resigned at more spiders.
Thick sheets of spider webs hang from the walls & ceiling of this filthy, trash & rubble-strewn room. In places, the rubble & garbage have piled up high enough to serve as makeshift furniture--chairs, tables & even a couch, all sized for small humanoids.
Eight mites are crowded into this room--and they're busy cheering the two spiders in the centre of the room on as they snap at each other.
They all stop when the party emerges. Then they start jabbering and scrambling for their weapons.
As the scale of the combat becomes clear, Azura - still behind Ryn - pipes up with her eerie Celestial singing again.
Two of the mites scramble to the spiders and start poking them in the legs, trying to get them to stop fighting...
...but only one of them is even partially successful. The other spider isn't inclined to listen.
The other mites turn their weapons on Ryn, throwing darts and stabbing daggers at her!
The darts clatter off of Ryn's armour, but the daggers find their marks in her thighs. They feel more like pinpricks than knives, but they sting all the same.
Embyr is in no position to offer aid. She hangs back.
Ulfr bursts into an ulfen ballad that just manages to enhance Azura's song without overwhelming it with it's bravado and urgency.
Expecting a violent reception, Ryn is actually quick enough to lower her shield in time to intercept one of the daggers, sending it clattering into the ground.
She feels the music fill her, Azura's beautify uplifting melody, bolstered by Ulfr's violent counterpoint, and every muscle in her body vibrates with power, and the need to move.
With a glare, she contemptuously sends the mite that manages to hit her flying with a vicious kick, slamming her shield into the one on her other side pinning it to the wall.
Ryn sends the two mites flying into nearby walls. Their necks break on impact with a satisfying *CRUNCH*.
When they finished the interview and left Saersha seemed more at ease, even if a bit flushed, as she follwoed them on their quest to find "clickylegs". When they entered the room with all of the mites suddenly attacking them she was noticeably put out at the interruption. There truthfully wasn't much that she could do until the pres in the hall cleared out so she waited for the time being.
Urged on the by the perfomance of the duo Zev steps up alongside Ryn to swipe at a Mite.

Zev's weakened swing is still enough to put down one mite.
Keep them bottled up, and stay back if you can. I'm going to try to put at least some of them to sleep." She begins to cast the spell.
Azura steps out beside Ryn and lunges at one of the spiders with her rapier, all the while continuing her lilting Celestial song.
Embyr remains out of the way while Azura leaps forth and pokes one spider right in the mandibles. Her rapier comes away slick with ichor.
Two mites keep trying to spur the spiders into attacking the party...
...and this time, the spiders seem inclined to listen.
The other mites start throwing darts, with one closing the distance to poke Azura with a knife...
...and none of the mites even come close to hitting their targets.
The spiders, on the other hand, look to be quite mean. One bites at Azura & the other sprays a sticky web at Ryn!
The spider's web gets caught up on the stone wall of the Crow, and the spider's bite falls short of its mark--Azura's sword-arm.
Ada completes her sleep spell and drops it right in the middle of the enemies.
The closest two mites yawn, but stay awake.
The back two fall over and start dreaming.
Ulfr walks up to the spider next to Azura and swings at it almost casually.
Ulfr crushes the spider into paste.
Seeing Ulfr destroy Azura's opponent, Ryn turns toward the other spider, charging forward to slam her shield into it's face.
Zev smashes his sword down on the mite currently trying to stab Azura before it gets another chance.

Zev hews apart a mite, and Ryn's shield finds its mark on the spider, breaking off a piece of its pedipalps.
Saersha stands back and watches the carnage unfold.
From her position by Ryn, Azura makes a quick downward stab with her rapier.
Azura's rapier misses wildly and stabs right into the stone floor.
The remaining mites turn their knives on Azura, while the spider bites at Ryn...
Even though she's off-balance from her impressive miss, Azura manages to hop aside from the stabbing daggers. The spider rears up and bites at Ryn, but only manages to bite her shield.
Zev moves up to slash at another Mite.
Zev easily hacks another one apart.
Ulfr steps up beside Ryn and swings his murder stuck at the bugs head!
Ulfr decisively squashes the spider into paste.
Ada moves into the room, and looks around. She waits for the other'ts to take out the awake mite.
As Ulfr steps up to finish off the spider, Ryn sees Azura in danger, taking a breath as Zav cuts anther mite down. With a quick movement, she sends her shield spinning toward the last of the standing little menaces.
Ryn's shield breaks the mite's neck with a solid *CRUNCH*.
The last mite falls just as Ulfr's song fades. That was too easy. He mutters.

"Not from their point of view," Zev comments while looking over all the dead mites.
Hopefully this was the spider we are looking for." Ada laughs. "Seep spells for the win."
Zev nods and chuckles. ”Yeah, they helped a lot. I’m glad you knew one.”
Somehow I doubt it. These two spiders hardly seem to have run away, as his majesty put it. We should check around.
Hmmm... Ulfr goes and sits on a mite, trapping his arms under his considerable bulk, then slaps it until it wakes up. In the gloom his dark forms looms over the mite and he bellows as the thing comes back to life, WHERE IS THE KING'S SPIDER!

Ada leans and the wall with tears rolling down her face from laughter at the sight of Ulfr sitting on the tiny mite and yelling at it.
Azura's song trails off and she pulls her rapier from the floor, then awkwardly sheaths it.
”I’m surprised he didn’t crush it. Can it even breathe now?”
With the fighting over and the mites restrained Saersha decided it was time to take care of something before they went further. She sat on the floor and pulled out her spellbook and said to Embyr, "Keep me undistracted for the next fifteen minutes Pet." With that she flipped through the book to the correct page and began to mumble and gesture at times as she prepared her last spell.

Ryn wanders over to stand near the other sleeping mite just in case Ulfr's roar wakes it up.
The mite snaps awake, its face turning white as a sheet as Ulfr yells in its face. It shakes in terror.
The little creature makes a choking noise, its face turning blue. Apparently, it can't breathe.
