I'm out of town for a week starting Saturday. I hope to have internet access, and in the worst case, I will still have my phone, but if my posts slow, feel free to continue along and to npc me as needed.

From the 4th through 6th I'll be en route from St. Louis, MO to Virginia, so I may not be able to post.
Does anyone know if I can post on here from my android phone?
If not, feel free to NPC Gob, just remember to play him defensively! :) Inertial armor and crossbow bolts, Stealth, defensive actions, hiding behind Snovli and Tudmunch, and the occasional mind thrust or swarm of crystals on clustered baddies.

Yeah, I lived in O'Fallon and Belleville, IL for most of my childhood, and Newport News, VA for 2.5 years in high school.
I'm moving to Hayes, VA, for about 6-7 months to work for my dad's antique business and save some money.
I'm not looking forward to the small town atmosphere, but I have a few friends in Richmond, about an hour west, and a few acquaintances in Newport News and VA Beach.

Moving ahead a little faster here, as the routine of who is where will get monotonous and time consuming. Not for nothing did my RL group call this section 'the land of More-door'!
If there's one thing I've learned about play-by-post games, it's that they benefit from glossing over some of the minutiae during dungeon-crawling sequences!

Aylmora wisely checks the chest for traps, and discovers a narrow groove where a blade could spring from, slicing the hand of anyone tampering with the lock. However, she cannot see how the trap could be disabled.
Not a complaint about our esteemed DM. Just an observation on what I find to be a difficult part of DMing.
This post of dabbler's shows a problem I often have when describing traps while DMing. It's hard to describe a trap that can't obviously be disabled. In this case the obvious solution would be to jam something in the slot or hold something like a dagger across it.
Does anyone else have this trouble, and how do you get around it?

I use the advice from the 3.5 version of Disable Device:
Other Ways To Beat A Trap
It’s possible to ruin many traps without making a Disable Device check.Ranged Attack Traps
Once a trap’s location is known, the obvious way to ruin it is to smash the mechanism—assuming the mechanism can be accessed. Failing that, it’s possible to plug up the holes from which the projectiles emerge. Doing this prevents the trap from firing unless its ammunition does enough damage to break through the plugs.Melee Attack Traps
These devices can be thwarted by smashing the mechanism or blocking the weapons, as noted above. Alternatively, if a character studies the trap as it triggers, he might be able to time his dodges just right to avoid damage. A character who is doing nothing but studying a trap when it first goes off gains a +4 dodge bonus against its attacks if it is triggered again within the next minute.Pits
Disabling a pit trap generally ruins only the trapdoor, making it an uncovered pit. Filling in the pit or building a makeshift bridge across it is an application of manual labor, not the Disable Device skill. Characters could neutralize any spikes at the bottom of a pit by attacking them—they break just as daggers do.Magic Traps
Dispel magic helps here. Someone who succeeds on a caster level check against the level of the trap’s creator suppresses the trap for 1d4 rounds. This works only with a targeted dispel magic, not the area version.
There's nothing wrong with creatively bypassing a trap. That's why God created 10' poles!

This is true.
I generally work on the principal that while you can see what you THINK the trap does, you don't always know for sure. For example, you hold a dagger across the trap, but with what? What if the spring on the blade is strong enough to knock it aside? What if it is not a moving blade but a series of needles, or a release of gas?
That said, bashing the top of the chest in will always work. This is why some chests are valuable in and of themselves ...
The great thing about Pathfinder is: Rogues are no longer essential. Any character can have any skill. One feat, and you get a bonus equal to or better than the class skill bonus. End of problem.

Is that feat leadership?
Seriously, help me out. Which feat?
Your other points are good too.
As is hogarth's. I never had the 3.5 rules. I played out of my 3.0 books, modified per the SRD. So I missed a lot of stuff.

Exactly! Of all the things that a rogue is traditionally good at, Disable Device is the only one that no other base class has as a class skill. One shot of Skill Focus and several classes can fill the rogues shoes as the scout: Barbarian, Ranger and Monk are three good options, and Druids are not bad at it. For the psionic classes, Psychic Warrior and Wilder can step in if they have the right stats and a decent intelligence.

Updated Treasure list. Items marked dropped were left in the chest. Thanadros grabbed the manacles, encase they may be of use while we are in the dungeon. Not sure if the trapped chest its self is worth anything, I included it just in case.

I'll make sure to reveal as much in character, but Gob is merely talking about tribes to keep Tudmunch and Snovlie from turning on us in the presence of the chief, and to maybe give us a round or two to delay Ripnugget, since he wanted to parlay. Seeing as that's not happening, hopefully the little buggers won't turn on us.
And, while I'm cool with having NPC contacts, I have no interest in the Leadership feat. Too much bookkeeping, and I have a really low Charisma. :)
Gob Slickarm
Gornak, you play your character so kindly and genuinely heroic that I forget, often, that he's not just a lumbering human. Seriously, OOC it didn't occur to me to take that into account IC. I guess Gob will just view it the same. :)
Dabbler
I think you got cover and concealment mixed up. Cover usually grants AC bonus and reflex save bonuses. Concealment provides a miss chance.
Guilty as charged! They had cover, not concealment. Mind you, it didn't help them much ...

Updating from a family member's computer.
My laptop finally died, and until I can afford to fix it or replace it, I probably won't be able to post more than about once a week.
I'll do my best to post as often as I can. (Does Paizo have an Android-friendly website I can post on, if needed?)
Gob Slickarm
I can check them from my phone, and post online from work on occasion. Just can't view maps well.
The big hit is to the two games I was running, as I have no way to make maps, access my campaign wiki or other files, etc.

So as not to bog down gameplay, can we assume that in any conversational lulls where there is no immediate danger, and between combat areas, Gob attempts to convince/coerce/explain/bribe the goblins into a less 'evil' lifestyle, and a more CN one? I will still role play parts of it out when there is time, or it's appropriate, but until they part ways I figure it'll be Gob's default focus.
