Background:
Gornak works with his half-orc father Gorvi at the Junker's Edge -- Sandpoint's dumping grounds. His mother Maisy ran off when Gornak was just a baby to go live with her relatives, the Kreegs. Gorvi refuses to say much about Maisy. From what Gornak has been able to piece together, Maisy ran off from her family and eventually drifted down to Sandpoint; she met Gorvi and fell in love; and they lived together as outcasts from Sandpoint society, but their relationship was stormy because of Maisy's foul temper.
Gornak has a smattering of orcish blood in him, but that doesn't completely explain his enormous stature and huge muscles. Gorvi claims that he gets his looks from his mother's side of the family. Despite his imposing exterior, Gornak is a gentle sort, although he relishes hunting big game. He spends his days helping his father haul trash, and in his free time he cobbles together weapons from the junk he finds.
Lately, Gornak has been exhibiting some queer abilities -- another thing his father claims comes from his Kreeg blood. He had been under the tutelage of an elf named Master Quar until the psion mysteriously disappeared after a goblin attack. With the help of his friends and neighbours (both old and new), Gornak has been looking for Quar and helping defend Sandpoint from hostile goblins from Thistletop (a nearby stronghold).
At Thistletop, he found evidence of a sinister plot formulated by an evil priestess named Nualia, but no sign of Quar.
