Regarding the upcoming Holiday, I anticipate that I will be traveling almost all day on this coming Sunday, but look forward to quiet days at home most of the rest of the week. December 25-28 are likely to be offline for me, and I hope that you are all looking forward to good time with your families.

Season's greetings, happy coming new year etc.
I've been lucky(?) in that an injury has allowed me lots of free time over the past few days.
I too, however, will be going back to work and to my erratic seeming roster.
Slow posting is still better than no posting. (^_~)
Wishing every one all the very best.

In addition, experience goes up for engaging in the casino's activities (It is open every day, though the games (and stakes) may change). As a result, you are now all level 2!
Please make the necessary change to your sheets and let me know how your PC has advanced: HP going up (take Average or Roll), Favored Class allocation, Class Features, Spells, Skills, Feats, etc.
Huzzah!

GM 8574 |

So! That's your first level up. As a quick check-in, could you let me know about the following with the Goldilocks feedback system:
1) Pace: Too fast, too slow, just right?
2) Combat: "I need a grid", "I need MORE freedom", or "the battlefield in my mind works ok"
3) Role-Playing: "Give me more", "Give me less", or "this is good"
If there's anything else you want me to know, feel free to post away. Y'all have been great to game with so far. Thank you!

Cinder Shellback |

So! Its been three months, a completely new way to game for me (This and Celestial Summoning are my first PbP Pathfinder games) but this has been really fun! I can't really say much about 'fast' or 'slow' comparative to other PbP, but we seem to be going at a good pace.
In person I usually have Maptools or something like to show combat and exploration, so the whole 'no map' thing is offsetting, but I've gotten used to it. Somewhat annoying when trying to set up flanking, but we've been pretty good with it so far. Its not like I have Burning Hands to *really* need it.
As for RPing, I could like a bit more, but what we have now is good. A bit of banter, a bit of talk, but not enough to drag.
(Is it wrong that I've been listening to You Will Know Our Names and Die when typing up my battle posts?)

Bosh Firebeard |

Yay! Level up!
For me, the pace is just right. I've been busy with work so I haven't been able to post more detailed post and it's my first time playing a caster, so I get kind of confused with some of the rules :(
I like more the non-grid combat unless we need to check some area of effect or something like that and for the roleplay I think everyone is fantastic and feels like I should roleplay more than what I'm doing right now.

Oleg Dhuzy |

Is that boxing match nonlethal damage?
Oleg will do a major re-organization of his items, as he feels he is carrying too much weight overall, and too many useless things. Before meeting the party in the morning, he will conduct some business:
Selling:
Studded Leather Armor – 12.5gp
Sap – 0.5gp
Brass Knuckles – 0.5gp
Punching Dagger – 1gp
Bolas – 2.5gp
Hand Axe – 3gp
Merchant’s Scale – 1gp
Deck of Cards and Dice – 1 silver
TOTAL INCOME FROM SELLING: 21 gold and 1 silver
Throws Away:
Three Torches
Fire Beetle Gland
Frog Thing’s Branded Skin
Buying:
Chain Shirt – 100gp
Dagger. Alchemical Silver – 22gp
Holy Weapon Balm – 30gp
Change in Gold: 209.46+21.1-152 = 78.56gp
Increases Brawler to Level 2
Question on Hit Points: What is average in your game for a d10? (5, 6, or alternating 5 and 6) For my live group we round up, but I don’t want to assume the same without asking.
Hit Points (Takes Average): +6* hit points (d10) + 1 hit point (Favored Class) +5 hit points (Con modifier)
New HP Maximum: 31 hit points
BAB improves to +2
Base Saves Improve to +3/+3/+0
Gains Bonus Combat Feat: Power Attack
Gains Special Ability: Brawler’s Flurry
Gains 4 Skill Points:
Swim 0 -> 1
Climb 1 -> 2
Kn(Eng) 1 -> 2
Craft(Mech) 1 -> 2
I think the pace is fine, and that both faster and slower weeks wouldn’t be a problem. The key issue for me isn’t the pace, but that the game continues through to the end. If that means slowing down or speeding up, I’m happy to accommodate either.
I am perfectly fine with grid-less and map-less combat. A well described situation is fun for my imagination and must be easier for the DM. Anything easier for the DM is great.
Role-playing: Each character is quite distinct and I would therefore say that the RP side of things is just fine. If Oleg gets on anyone’s nerves, let me know and I’ll tone him down some.

Cinder's changes:
Average HP -> 13 total
New spell: Vigor
Various skill increases.
Aaand that's it.
Regarding the money issue on the ledger, I can't find in post where the money was divided up. Please let me know?

GM 8574 |

Sure, my bad. I divided the funds for you, but should have made a better note about this. It was 42 GP, and y'all can divide it however you want. I've pulled it for now.
Also, re: gambling - my post about this was poorly done.
- You received 100 GP
- You spent ## GP
- You won ## GP
- Best to just ignore the "net" winnings I wrote in that post, as they are letting you keep it all.

I'm glad it's been a good experience so far! I understand about the map concerns, and there is one combat coming up soon where I will likely need to utilize something to manage us spatially (you'll know it when you see it), but yes, I'll mostly be generous about positioning.
Sure, I'll do what I can to further delve into your characters, and do so in a way that lets us keep moving.
I think it's a great thing to listen to music while gaming! :)

GM 8574 |

Okay.. am going through a bit of a turmoil personally at the moment.
Will/should have oodles of free time after the week end, so please bear with me and updating Scarlet till then.
Wishing every one all the very best.
Boo-YAH! RWBY! XD
Sorry to hear about the turmoil - hoping that all works out well soon!

No worries - you're doing a good job so far! Thanks for the feedback. As for RP, keep focused on your character's motivations, and you'll keep doing great.

** spoiler omitted **...
Yes, that was nonlethal damage, something each of you could do without taking a penalty to rolls.
Thanks for the feedback, and noted on the sales. I'll update the ledger.

Thought I'd continue the money conversation here. :)
The ledger that I can see is this one Iron Gods AP Party ledger
All it lists is HP... Which is not a bad thing.
