Rhea Varn, the Hapan Sage |

Incidentally, is anyone here unfamiliar with Spheres of Power/Spheres of Might? ^^ I can help if you have any questions about them.
EDIT: Which reminds me... I feel like I should introduce my character. XD
Rhea here is a front-line combatant. Her normal form of attack is essentially a martial strike she's dubbed the 'Force Pulse', which basically does 2d6 damage per odd level, with a bonus if she expends her ki pool to augment the damage (which she doesn't do too often, since she'd rather spend that on other stuff). She's rather tankier than she looks, and can use the Shield sphere to help deflect attacks, as well as use the Berserker sphere to give herself temporary HP. Her damage is almost entirely dice-based, so it can swing pretty wildly, but it'll go right through spell resistance.
Rhea also has a scaling bonus to physical ability scores that she can grant to herself - or others. This is an untyped bonus, so it'll stack with pretty much everything. (Alas, the mental equivalent, which I plan to pick up later, is self-only.) I'll also get a couple of enhancement talents as we level - feel free to toss out suggestions for things you'd find particularly helpful.
Outside all of that, Rhea is a surprisingly good - if slow - healer. I can bring you up to half your max HP more-or-less infinitely, as well as create and use what I've decided to flavor as an advanced Hapan healing kit. XD I can only have a few kits at a time, and making more takes half an hour each, but I can hit each character with five in a day. Right now, it's 1d8+4 healing per-kit. Not great for in-combat stuff, but she can patch you up basically whenever we have a decent break.

I do kind of want to dot it and then delete my post, just to track the thread...... buuuuuut it's all good. ^^

Vadi Sarnassi |

If we are doing presentations, Vadi is a blue Twi'Lek and an Eliciter, that's to say a specialist in mind control. I have ridiculously high social skills modifiers, as well as high Mind Sphere DCs.
Currently I can fascinate a target for a handful of rounds, make a suggestion and charm, later I'll gain some buffs for you too, bardic-style, and some fun debuffs.
Droids are my bane, so I'll grab ion weapons asap.

Syrus Terrigan |

Hmmmm.
Well, folks, I'm gonna have to do some intensive revision of my initial plan -- we've already had a withdrawal from our proceedings. I don't think it'll be tough, or that it'll take too long to get it done, but it's kinda caught me off-guard. I'll ruminate throughout the day today, and get our initial exposition posted in about 14 hours or so.
Also: where you at, Jedi Hayden??

"Indignant Statement: Bane? Have we droids not suffered enough? Many droids entire existence is being made to carry drinks or translate meatbag sentiments to other meatbags. Many of us can't even enjoy killing. Isn't that the saddest thing you've ever heard?
Friendly Warning: For every droid you kill, I shall dispose of 3 organic beings."

Vadi Sarnassi |

"Then, every time droids shoot at us, I'll just hide behind you and let you folks work it out."

Rhea Varn, the Hapan Sage |

@Vadi: I strongly recommend either switching Powerful Charm for Expanded Charm, or picking Expanded Charm up next level if you don't already plan to do so. (Without it, you're limited to affecting creatures of the same type as you - that can be quite limiting.)

Vadi Sarnassi |

@Rhea: It's definitely on the list. Her having it right now depends quite largely on which percentage of sentient creatures is humanoid: living on Nar Shaddaa, she wouldn't have met many animals. With a large humanoid population, Expanded Charm is largely unnecessary - for now.

Rhea Varn, the Hapan Sage |

I'm not actually sure how many Star Wars creatures would fall into monstrous humanoid, rather than merely humanoid... *Rubs chin* Feels like a good question for the GM.
On the bright side, undead are fairly rare, so you won't have to worry about those. ...On the downside, lots of droids/constructs, so picking up those blasters was probably a good move. XD

Vadi Sarnassi |

Ah! There is the Recondite Stimuli advanced talent, which would allow me to affect droids and can be taken at level 2!

Rhea Varn, the Hapan Sage |

Aaaaaaah. ...Don't Wound Points normally replace HP? I'm happy to roll with pretty much anything - I do have a positive Con score, after all - but I don't think I've used these rules before. ^^

Syrus Terrigan |

Usually it's a Vitality Points/Wound Points system -- basically VP = 3x standard HP, WP = 2x Con score. Such an arbitration would radically alter the DPR dynamics of the game, and thereby call for a massive revision of weapon mechanics -- at the very least. Since I did not wish to engage in such an effort (since I can't math very well), it seemed more effective to keep combat as close to as-is from Pathfinder as possible, and to *nudge* weaponry toward being just a bit stronger to account for the higher thresholds for incapacitation. Granted, an effective critical hit can *end* a combatant, but I want to embrace the swinginess of that system just to emulate the narrative components of the SWEU. Besides -- combat is supposed to be scary. :D

Rhea Varn, the Hapan Sage |

...Rhea thought, also thinking about what they planned to do to people with their Force Pulse and their plan to be rather scary.

Yoricks, have you heard from Synchronicitically yet? 'Cause I'm guessing you're waiting on him to set up a post, get that ball rolling. I ask because he hasn't replied to my texts in 5 days, which is *highly* irregular. I'm beginning to think that he's experiencing tech issues with his phone/computer. Once our frostpocalypse thaws enough, I may just have to crash his party, find out what's up. :)

I have not, and yeah, that's what I was waiting for. I can get something up this weekend if he isn't around by then.

Syrus Terrigan |

No time pressure on you, yet, Yoricks. I've been waiting so I can "lump-sum" my reply posts -- easier to keep everything sorted, that way. That said, though: if you can figure an angle of approach to initiate your "hurry up and wait" dialogue, that would be excellent. Showing Synchro that we've *all* been waiting on him may produce splendid results! }:>

Syrus Terrigan |

I have an update: yes, Synchro is mired in tech hardware issues -- broken phone screen, replacement nonfunctional. And we both Paizo via phone (internet service out here is beastly in cost). If I get any feedback from him today, I'll proceed with something to give Yoricks an angle early tomorrow (if he hasn't built one by then). Regardless, I'll have something in place for everyone else by that same time.
I'm hungry. More food!

SynchroniciticallyChallenged |

A few days before my new sim card shows up. Bought a brand new phone and it has a dud sim. Three days of tech support issues and work interspersed. But yeah. Using my wife's phone for now. Overall, I'm living up to my username.
I may not get a game play post up today, but I would like to know how much of my snippet shuttle story is basically intact for introductory purposes. I'll start composing in my head. Once that is known, feel free to post away, Yorick's, and I'll tag along probably by tomorrow.

"Snarky Meatbag Sentiment: I hardly think your indignance is based upon camaraderie. Most things derive the same sense of pleasure from performing their given function. For you, it's seeing your enemies driven before you and hearing the lamentations of their women. I can get behind that. No need to dance with pretense.
"All this posturing about other droids and their sorry lot is really just about the Jedi council mucking with your protocols. Yep. Those castration jokes were really just a cry for help. Projections. Can droids feel insecurity?"

Syrus Terrigan |

Synchro and Yoricks --
Fill me in a bit with what you two have been kicking around concerning ideas for your mission(s). Here or PM is fine. I'm just asking so that I have a better idea of which skill checks to call for, and when. Your two threads are, frankly, the toughest to bring together with the rest, and so I'd like a little more information so I can finish setting the proper spin on the opening shot!
To be more specific: Has θ0 been programmed with the same mission specs as those Hayden has been briefed upon? Or is the Jedi the "knower" and the droid the "help"?

*Now* we're getting rolling, folks!

New News!
There is a *chance* that we might get to see our Mando commando anyway. I got back in touch with the player and made sure he understood the game was still open to him; I expect to hear back from him within the next day or so. The best part is that we may be able to seamlessly integrate him with our slightly altered storyline, with no need for retcons!
Regardless, I hope you all see that I'm keenly interested in advancing this story. I love what I've seen so far! Don't hold back! Let me know what you need, folks!
And speaking of which: I'm still waiting on word from Synchro/Yoricks and Avacynrestored. Reach out to me any way you need to!! Looking forward to new posts!

Question: would it be of help to y'all, in terms of readability and aesthetics, for me to use OOC text to introduce the character-specific responses/reactions in gameplay?
Example:
Vadi
blahblahblahyakittyyak
----------
----------
Hayden
et cetera, et cetera?
__________
I'll hold off a little while longer before I begin my next series of posts. May be tomorrow, though -- got a crisis going on now, and another couple brewing.
Good news, though: I have a job interview tomorrow morning!
