Recruitment

Original recruitment

We lost a few players. Have a look at see if you are interested :)

Liberty's Edge

Sounds fun...I will dot for interest while I think of a character. What do you already have?

We have a summoner. A rogue and a fighter.

Liberty's Edge

I could build a cleric then to join your group. I will try to get something up asap.

Liberty's Edge

Ok here is my cleric character. I am not too sure of the background, but I have him as maybe being a servant of the copper dragon who rules the area. Can change/alter whatever you might need.

Grand Lodge

if you're still in the market, I have a hobgoblin magus, exiled from his tribe, I'd like to submit. he'll look a bit like this alias, statwise, just expanded upon. I'll put up a history flr him when I get home this evening.

Liberty's Edge

Is this set in Golarion? Is the party still level 5?

What's the opinion of classes from the Advanced Class Guide? I'm thinking of making a Hunter (Feral Hunter archetype).

Interested.

Definitely interested, but I was wondering if you could allow a permanent Age Resistance spell. Of course it would also take away the mental boosters to be fair, and I would make it fit in my backstory. I've got a cool concept for a character, but the age penalties are always too big to deal with.

Its not set in golarion. Yes. Party is still level 5.
I dont mind ACG, just cant access my PDF at the moment.
PM me and we can talk about the age thing
Well. As i read histories i will make suggestions

Im in hospital atm. Something small. Will be back properly on monday :)

Thinking of building an Arcanist can have something up soonish.

Party Role:
Lilah is not primarily a combat character. She generally plays more of a support role, summoning animals to distract and harry opponents or shooting poisoned arrows at people. If threatened, she tends to panic and turn into an animal to maul at her opponent.

Description and Personality:
Lilah is unremarkable in appearance except for having one blue eye and one brown. She generally tries to hide this by leaving her hair hanging over half of her face. She stands under 5 feet tall with long dark hair and pale skin that seems to defy the sun's tanning influence, no matter how much time she spends outside. The shape of her face has slight elven hints. She's soft spoken and rarely makes eye contact, often cringing when others raise their voice. She dresses in simple huntsman's clothing, her only obvious weapon being a battered old longbow and a variety of arrows. The clothing carefully hides a number of scars from severe beating when she was younger.

Lilah is a shy girl, used to being ignored at best, but more often mistreated by those around her. While she does ok out of melee combat, if directly threatened, she's likely to try running away. When cornered, she tends to panic. When this happens, her innate abilities tend to kick in, transforming her physical shape and turning her into a wild beast of some kind. When this happens, she forgets her surroundings and viciously attack anything that threatens her.

Slightly Longer Background:
Like most changlings, she was left by her parents to be raised by strangers who lived on the border between Brass and Copper dragon lands. Her life was fairly happy, if poor, until she was about 5, at which point she started minor shapechanging, taking on cat ears or gaining a fox's tail. Convinced that this was a sign of the devil, they sold her to a circus.

The circus consisted of people mostly from the Brass dragon territory, and the owners were cruel masters. They put her on display, and though they traveled between both sides of the content, most of their time was spent on the Brass dragon side. As such, it was not uncommon for Lilah to have bottles or rocks thrown at her. It was during this time that the call to find her mother and find out her true heritage came. Imprisoned as she was, there was no way for her to heed the call. She didn't even really understand what it was she was feeling.

One day shortly after her 15th birthday, the circus she was in happened to be in the Copper dragon territory. The lord of the land had been wandering about in human form to investigate disturbances along the border to his lands. Seeing her emaciated, scarred form, he took pity on her, paying for her freedom and dropping her off at a house to be nursed back to health. When he returned he found her healed in body, but not in spirit. Lost without a master, and grateful for his thus far kind treatment of her, she swore loyalty to him, becoming a scout for him. And though she is happier, she is still unaware of her changling heritage and feels a strange emptiness, like something is missing from her life.

DM?:
So, I've been in love with this concept for a while, and you've said that ARG races are legal, but in your world magic is radically different than in Golarion which means that cultural norms among races may be radically different. This is the Synopsis version of my submission Character's BG:

A hobgoblin bladebound magus,he was trained as a magehunter by his tribe, but in his zealous determination to outdo his peers and be more useful to his tribe he took his training too far and began blurring the lines between studying the enemy and becoming one. When his impressive successes as a hunter were discovered to be the result of being a practitioner himself, he was captured and slated for summary execution before he escaped, steeling an ancient looking scimitar from his tribe's hoard in his desperate fight for freedom.

So the question is, does this background even make sense? Are hobgoblins still distrustful of magic? more because of the chance of surge? less because magic is controlled by dragons, and what idiot questions the validity of the most beings on the planet? Where do hobgoblins fit within the hierarchy and relationships of civilized races?

Oh, perhaps I should also mention that Lilah will also be learning healing type spells. And Hunters are spontaneous casters, so all her spells could go towards healing if that's needed.

@Toodles All metalic dragons are good. So if u can explain why he is good and not openly being hunted i will look at the story and not veto it

@Anon Brass dragons are good too, so an evil circus would be delt with swiftly

@Edmund You wont work for the ruler himself. But working for a dragon type is not an issue. Maybe the local town noble is a half dragon

@All Remember to add how and why you were recruited for the mission into Black Dragon territory

I think I gotcha. Anyway, the character "crunch" (hate that word) is in this alias, and I'll finish the BG particulars later today, hopefully. 'Pleased you survived your hospital stay.

Still recruiting for this?

Thanks :)

yup. Still open

Cool! Ill start working on my Monk-MoMS/Sorcerer -Dragon Blooded.

He's headed for Dragon Disciple PRC

This looks like the perfect campaign for him.

Any deadline on ready status?

Im thinking end of this week. Friday unless recruitment dies down before then

Oh, oops. I was kind of assuming for some reason that all the pairings were a good/evil dragon. I'm not sure why. I'll rethink some things.

Edit: Ok, in that case, do the metallics ever leave their land? I'm wondering if I can just change locations to the Black/Red continent but otherwise keep things intact.

Sounds good Seth86. I should have the bulk of my crunch done tonight.

I would like to submit this dragon blooded sorcerer Omar Khalid for your consideration.

I'm planning on going dragon disciple and the dimensional agility feat chain to take out opposing wizards.

@Omar story is good. Only thing, wont have served the ruler of the lands. Im thinking maybe on of the officers :)

@Anon

Red is preference. The less you know about the black lands, the better for this part of campaign

So the Chromatics work together? Or would it be possible to have a Draconic Bloodline other than Copper and still be fitting?

@Stiehl Yup, you can have any blood line you wish, some would just warrant distrust in certain areas. Like gold dragon in red lands or any of the chrome lands for that matter and opposite. If you have a chrome bloodline, metalic lands will be very "race profiling" you. You wont be hunted or killed. Just expect a search and a "detained" time now and them when in metalic lands :P

Thanks Seth86. Might still stick with Copper.

Finalizing crunch today.

Seth86 wrote:

He will serve wherever he is told to serve out of gratitude.

Ok, I'll switch the story around to say that I got rescued from a circus in the red dragons lands.

And Lilah's reason for being recruited is that she is semi-familiar with red dragon lands/people, so she hopes some of that knowledge might be cross-applicable. Or at the very least, she imagines it would be less odd for someone from red dragon lands to cross the border than for someone from another continent to be there. She's also pretty decent at roughing it in the wilderness if need be.

Stiehl9s checking in.

I still need to dot some i's, cross some t's, buy gear and write a background but the gist is there.

This is Wivvy, I have finished the fluff, but I still have a lot of crunching to do. Also, I am considering a fighter/cleric dual class. What are your opinions on that? I'll try and have crunch done before Saturday.

Also, I would like to point out that I wrote all of this fluff out at like 5 or 6 in the morning, so sorry if it makes no sense. The point is that he is really messed up from all that time in a cult, but it is not something that would effect the way he interacts with the group.

this game has dissolved, hasn't it?

No it didnt. Sorry. Only realized now i still needed to post. Weekends can be rough. Plus i think in the US its a long weekend.

Quite so, it's our Labor Day tomorrow. Take your time; just wanted to check in.

Will close applications on Wednesday so people on that side of the world can enjoy holiday and have time to look at characters :)

@Ser. As far as i could calculate. Your AC is 21?

Ooops, sleepy eyed calculations got me again. Should be 10 Base, 1 for Small, 1 for Nimble, 6 for Dex and 4 for armor and 1 for buckler so AC23. Was the Agile enchant ok?

@Clay. I dont see an issue with it

Ok great, I'll tidy up the character sheet and make him official later on today Thanks :)

Grand Lodge

Here's Grosk.
