There's also a "box" within the alias's. I really don't know how to explain it so I'll LINK to my profile so you can see what I mean.

Instead of the bottom of the box going all the way below the last thing typed, it cuts right through the middle. That's a rough explanation of it I guess.

Edit: Yes! That's it! What Ross Byers said.

When you click on "Edit my profile", the whole right side of the page is not used. The right side of the box cuts it straight down the middle and it's all shoved on the left side.

For the active campaigns, I really preferred them in a list

ie
Gameplay (x new)
Discussion
Characters
Players

with the new version (ie. Gameplay (x new) | Discussion | Characters | Players) it is too easy to click on Discussion when trying for x new esp on mobile (phone/tablet) browsers.

blinks once

I gotta pay the bills!

Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, etc...

The blinking implication was more "it's a computer at work" than "too expensive". ;)

When quoting stuff, text formatting seems to disappear.

Like all the spaces between paragraphs and such go bye-bye. Makes perfectly well formatted posts into blocks of texts.

Editing posts is also messed up — the "post as" bar overlaps the text box (Opera 12.16).

Something I just noticed was that it took a few tries to edit a post. Every time I hit submit, it would dump me to the main page, with the url of paizo.com/posts#newPost. The edit wouldn't take effect.

This happened while editing a post in a campaign discussion thread. I haven't tried editing posts elsewhere in the forums to see if it happens there.

That's something that's been a problem for a long while now.

Huh. I don't think I've had it happen before, or at least not as often as it seems to be doing it now.

Clicking on the tabs (Store Blog / Paizo Blog / Web Fiction) at the top of the main page doesn't work for me - it just reloads the Store Blog page. Also, clicking on the "collapse/expand" arrows next to the message-board topics doesn't do anything when I'm not signed in; this may be deliberate, but it seems odd to be able to see the arrows when they have no function.

This happens in both Firefox 18.0.2 and Chrome 33.0.1750.146 m, running under Windows 7 Enterprise SP1.

Mine did this as well until I shut off Compatibility View, then the site normalized.

It seem I can't get past the "Personalizing... Click link again in 10 seconds to download" stage for downloading a product I just bought (Paper Minis for The Frozen Stars). Can you help?

Do you have a rough ETA on a fix to the gifting options at checkout? I'm aware that bug-fix timelines are fickle things, but it would be handy to have a ballpark figure.

I've been checking a few times a day, but knowing it could still be days to a week or something would allow me to chill out and poke my head in at more realistic intervals. :)

Paizo Employee PostMonster General

Gift options are at the top of our list so it'll be sooner than later. If all goes well it could be as early as tomorrow.

(A lot of things have to go exactly right for that to happen, and these are things that have never really done that before. But hey, new code, a staff that's pouncing on bugs as fast as we find them, who knows.)

Thanks for this, Gary! I totally understand the knots involved in debugging things. What I've seen of the new shopping interface is exciting, so it's worth the bumps in the road.

Best of luck to the team on the ground!

Also no effect clicking the Blog Tabs in Firefox 27.0.1

I have narrowed it down to paizo.com though - If I'm paizo.com/store/blog or paizo.com/paizo/blog it will work.

Paizo Employee PostMonster General

The tabs on the front page are known to be broken right now and are on the list of things to fix.

I have to say that (bugs aside) I am loving the cleaner look of the website. Very well done!

Others have already reported most of the stuff I've noticed. One thing I wanted to ask about though. When you hit the focus button on the messageboards, it works, but it doesn't "stick". So if I log back on later or from another machine, it seems to forget that I asked for focus. Is that a bug or a feature?

I am experiencing that with IE 8, Firefox 27.0.1 and Firefox for Android 23.0.

Silver Crusade

Lol, you guys must really want me to get Bastards of Golarion, cause every time I come to the Paizo site or go to a differant page it's in my shopping cart, no matter how many times I've cancelled it. Is this just a bug due to the site upgrade or have you just decided to be really aggressive lately? :3

(I tried the other things you mentioned Liz but they no worky)

Maybe you're sleep-purchasing again. Your unconscious mind knows you need that book. You should give in and buy it. It's for the best.

But yes, likely a bug. I'll set to squashing it.

Silver Crusade

Likely you say? okay, I was thinking about buying it to see if that would make it go away but since you're on it I'll just leave it up to you then :3

Paizo Employee Developer

My downloads used to maintain my sorting from visit to visit (I like to keep them sorted by date added to my downloads), but it no longer does.

Silver Crusade

Campaigns are horizontal again, yay!

Shadow Lodge

Low priority, but when resizing the text box that we enter text into on a post, it no longer remains centered. The right side will resize, but the left side stays put.

Old behaviour was that when the right side got expanded right, the left side expanded left.

Thank you for fixing/reverting the Campaign page. The new format is clean, and very readable. A great improvement from the last 2 days, and definitely nicer than before.

I am still seeing the site and forms as messed up as I did when I posted my image. I think it has to do with the program Net Nanny, version 7.1.2.1, which filters the internet for me. I think it might be interfering with the new code in some way.

Everything seems to look good on my iPad and on other computers that don't have Net Nanny.

I am using Firefox V. 21.0.1 and Windows 8.

Problem with the checkout wizard on IE 11.

I use the updated version 11.0.3 for IE.

On the checkout wizard on the billing portion or even the address section, it shows a popup square, but you can't scroll down or widen the square to put in the information, or see the addresses to select the billing address or see if it's correct or even select an okay. You have to reload from there even to get off the page.

Basically to order, if using IE 11.0.3 it appears you have to use another webbrowser if you wish to order (aka Firefox or another one).

Digital Products Assistant

Unfortunately we have no way to accurately test/support in office what Net Nanny or other extensions/filters/scripts added onto a browser do to our website. Adjustments to accommodate that kind of software isn't likely to happen in this round of bug fixes.

GreyWolfLord, I am investigating this behavior. There's definitely a CSS issue going on with that modal in IE11.

It doesn't interfere with the function of the website, but in Chrome at least, the drop-down text book with the Search function isn't tall enough for the font. The bottom of the word ("Everything," "Products," Messageboards," etc.) gets cut off.

Digital Products Assistant

Alright, the payments dialog in checkout should be behaving properly in IE now and the select menus for search should be their appropriate height :)

I'm running Chrome ver 33.0.1750.146m and everything looks like it's coming back into focus. The body text in message posts look a little small and squished, but that might just be because my eyes haven't adjusted to the new font that you folks have switched us to.

I'm running the latest version of Chrome on my Android as well, and the site was running a whole messuvalot faster than usual when I checked the message boards on my lunch break this afternoon. The font size was a little wonky, but it always is on my phone.

Thought it might be helpful if I attached some pictures of what I'm experiencing on my end:

Example 1

Example 2

The text in Chrome is still a bit off - the bold links are really big and bold, while body text is small, unspaced, and really hard to read. I feel like a jerk complaining, but since the rollout, reading the messageboards have been giving me serious headaches :((

I'm seriously thinking its the font; verdana has always given me a headache :/

I can confirm that the select menu is back on track in Chrome. Thanks, Chris!

I'm seeing some minor formatting issues with the messageboard titles. I think what's happening is that the breadcrumbs are getting pushed down by the social media buttons and fall behind the title of the thread.

screenshot

Really minor issue, of course, and it only seems to happen with long thread titles/deep subforums.

I'm using Firefox 27.0.1, Windows 7, 1024x768.

Thanks!

Also the case in Opera 12.16 (last version pre-Webkit).

Still does this.

When you go to edit a profile, only the left side of the screen is used. The right side is just blank. (Chrome)

I've got one big complaint about the new checkout wizard: it doesn't show the increase in shipping cost when shipping with a pending order.

Also, when I last tried, it only showed the latest pending order (I've got 2 pending orders at the moment).

Finally, I very much liked to be able to know in how many parcels an order would be shipped.
It is very important for me as an international customer because it indicates if customs are likely to open the parcel (and often damage the books with their clumsy hands... happened many times)and sometimes subject the parcel to custom duties. Big parcels get frequently stopped by customs, small ones do not, at least in my country. So I try to place orders that will be shipped in several parcels. I'm not absolutly sure this feature isn't there any more though.

I am also in the process of buying the Beginner's Box today.

However, the only shipping option I seem to have is the most expensive 'US Priority Mail'.

Is there no other option for this item, or is there a bug in the code that doesn't allow me to change that?

With thanks,

Matt

The beginner box is pretty hefty. If memory serves, it weighs more than 4 pounds packaged. That means Paizo's only international option is priority mail.
