Lialda Boreana |
Well crap, was just about to submit something as I just found this this morning and then noticed submission was closed.
Oh well, just in case your willing to accept a slightly late submission everything but an rp example (I'll add one if you're willing to accept her) and finalized crunch are in the alias. If not, oh well, maybe next time.

Thank you ShadowLord, I appreciate it.
And for the RP sample...
Here.

Go...
Lialda had been in the bar for a while, it wasn't something she did often but she felt like getting out of her home for a bit. She'd been there for a while when a few members from a caravan that had arrived in town entered and began drinking. One of them had been eyeing her for a time and, after a few drinks and encouragement from his buddies went to the bar and ordered two of what she was having and then swaggered over to her table and took a seat across from her. "So dawlin' what's a nice girl like you doin' in a place like this."
She looked over at him as he handed her one of the glasses and replied, "I don't think you'd say that if you knew me." Her tone was disinterested in what he had to say but he didn't seem to notice when she continued, "I take it you aren't going to leave until I tell you my story so I suppose it would be best to get it over with." She considered a moment and took a drink from her glass, much to the man's delight, and began to tell her story.
"I was born here, my mother came to this place from her homeland while she was pregnant with me by crossing through length of Belkzen from the north all the way here alone, quite a feat I assure you." She took a bite of her meal carefully cutting off a portion on eating it, "She managed to rescue some citizens who had been kidnapped and returned them here, the only thing she asked for in exchange was a place among them. As momma was a powerful spellcaster they were delighted to have her here and I was born shortly thereafter."
She took another drink as her eyes grew distant and she continued, "I spent my early years as the daughter of a heroine of the town, one who helped fight off the invading hordes on numerous occasions and who helped tend to the sick and injured. As I got older she began to teach me the arts of herbalism and helped get me an apprenticeship with the apothecary when I became old enough." She paused and considered as she took another bite of food and then said, "I guess I'm rather well known here because of all that, I don't really pay attention to that most of the time, I'm usually too busy with my studies and duties to even get out that often. Anyway, that's neither here nor there..."
She glanced over to see if the man was still listening, her goal was to boar him so he'd leave her alone, she wasn't interested in dating, let alone one night stands with caravaneers, sadly it seemed he was too enamored of her half-elven heritage to get bored that easily. "I had only a very few friends, in fact Becca is probably the only friend I've ever really had except for Hvita anyway. Now where was I...oh yes, that's right." Her eyes became troubled as she moved into the next portion of her story, "When I became old enough to take the oath Becca and I were able to take it together, we both got our hopeknives that day and became adults in the eyes of the town, do you know what part of that oath is mister? It's a promise to use our knives to kill anyone who is about to be captured by orcs, including ourselves, by taking it and slicing our wrists and throat open so that we die quickly instead of suffering as slaves to the orcs." the man seemed to blanch a bit as she mimed slitting her wrists and throat open but hung on none the less, apparently he had heard of the ritual before.
"It wasn't long after that when I lost my mother, Anise, she was sent along with a caravan and never made it back, I knew she wouldn't be back as soon as Hvita made it back and found me. I miss her you know, I hope she's proud of the woman I am becoming." There was a tear in her eye and the man seemed to be even more uncomfortable than he was before with this most recent developement, "After that I began to throw myself into my studies, I intend to do everything I can to help defend my home here, I will honor momma's memory by following in her footsteps." With that a tiny animal hopped up onto the table and made a "yiyiyi" sound at Lialda. She looked down and said, "Oh, you're right Hvita, we do have things to do," she looked back at the man who seems thoroughly flustered by the fact she's talking with a fox and letting it eat from her plate, "I'm glad we had a chance to talk, it was...nice."
She rose to leave and the man looked angry as he said, "I bought you a drink and you accepted it, there are certain obligations that go with that and I expect you to pay up sugah. Let's go upstairs and you can repay me for the drink before you go." He reached out to try and grab her which caused the place to go quiet, the locals knew that the man was making a mistake and shivered as a chill seemed to creep into the place though the drunk didn't seem to notice.
Lialda glared at him and said, "I suggest you taste the drink first, it isn't what you think it is."
She waited for him to do so and nearly burst out laughing as he cried out, "Water! What kinda fool drinks water at a bar! I'm gonna take this outta you sugah let's go." He reached out to grab her and she stepped back, said several words with a few gestures, and he suddenly felt a wave of lassitude come over him as he dropped into his seat and fell asleep instantly.
Lialda looked at his companions and said, "He'll be fine when he wakes up, I just put him to sleep." She looked at their surprise and said with feigned surprise, "Oh wait, did I forget to mention? My mother was a winter witch, and so am I." She smiled sweetly at the fear that came over them and then left the tavern for home while Hvita came along with her.
Adira Safan |
Have put together information for Adira into an alias profile and expanded on that a bit with some description details for her.
Had a few questions for finalising some details of her mechanical build. I was looking at the taking the Object of Legend Story feat for her (and have a few suggestions from existing artifacts that she could be searching for if selected). Would you be happy with taking Lore (Holy Artifacts) as a Background Skill in support of this feat, or would this perhaps be too broad a subject?
Adira Safan |
Adira - That should be sufficient. I assume you are looking for a specific Holy Artifact though and not all of them?
I had a few options that seem like they would be thematically good connections for Sarenrae, or generically for any good gods/goddesses, that Adira could be searching for that are listed out below. I would prefer however that the selection of which one of them (or more than one perhaps, or maybe even something completely different) that she may be able to find remain with yourself. After all, Adira is only acting on little more than rumours and hearsay to go on with at the moment...
Life Lantern
Beacon of True Faith
Dawnflower's Kiss
Chronical of the Righteous
Iangrim Swiftgear |
"Ooo, is that the hammer of thunderbolts?" Asks the dwarf, Sitko smiles "no," she says slyly putting the hammer behind her back...
Yeah, if I find an artifact, I get that 50% chance of recognizing it immediately. It's okay. But only if we happen to find a artifact.
"Forget silly artifacts, I've found something much better to covet...," as he eyes Sitko adoringly.

The Gnoll quietly picks up the gnome and sets him aside. "You wouldn't even know what to do with all that fine fur."

Iangrim runs his lusty eyes up and down 'The Gnoll,' before replying, "Oh I certainly do, and I'd be just as eager to visit the same pleasures to your fine fur! Calistria's love knows no boundaries.."

The Gnoll stares at the Gnome for a moment. "I'm flattered, but of my toys, I prefer only the chewy ones to be squeaky."

wow, sure is some competition now isn't there? Sitko chuckles and smiles to the gnome sorry to let you down, but I don't prefer... she puzzled for a moment, ... Men
"what a twist!"

The Gnoll's ears flatten.
Sitko |
Sitko looks at the gnoll confused. what? Don't tell me you've never found yourself curious. I do occasionally have relations with those of the opposite gender, but I find myself drawn more to the kinder, more gentile woman. Sitko chuckles. well, at least I'm willing to admit it :)
Her two tails flick to the side and she smiles devilishly.
In a mere mere moment, her fur disappears and she changes to her human form. Her green eyes sparkle. I'm more than willing to admit it

Dinuci wrote:But that sometimes ends up with a horrible group...Good luck to all!
Whenever I have a hard time choosing I just use some dice ^^
That is sometimes true. I personally prefer a somewhat weird group than a group that is made to function well in a game.
It would be a bad idea to get 6 barbarians or something :P But if you group the casters and melee and roll, or something like that, you could end up with a nice group. I've had some good luck with the last one!
