Just in case the words 'league of legends' were not enough to excite you How about I throw in 'Gestalt' and 'any paizo book'.
Got your attention?
Cool, let me explain.
This will be a pathfinder game using the 'Shattered Star' AP. With some important details changed. First detail: It will be set in the League of Legends universe. Second detail: You would pick a LoL champion to either be, or be based heavily on.
________________________________________________________
Build that champion with pathfinder rules. Hence why gestalt as some champs can not be made with just one class and multi-classing nerfs to much for this idea. Weapons and armour will be pathfinder based. Names may be changed to match LoL but stats will not. That will all be done when in the game. For now use pathfinder names.
Ok important things to know. In this universe the league was not set up to stop war it acts essentially as the pathfinder society. The Golarion worlds will be replaced with LoL worlds. E.G. the Shattered Star AP book 1 is set largely in Magnimar, this will be changed for Demacia. Expect other similar changes. The lore and history will match LoL as best as possible.
____________________________________________________________
Some rules:
Before you even consider applying, Make sure you are interested in playing the Shattered Star AP and not just the novelty of playing a league of legends character in an rpg. I don't want players dropping out when the novelty wears off. As it isn't fair on other players or myself if this happens.
Also remember you will all be working as a team, as a group of adventures so if you build 'loners that never trust anyone' expect to be rejected. I do not mind some level of 'not easily trusting' etc. Do not feel you have to play a naive trusting idiot. Just be sensible and remember you need a reason to be adventuring with a group.
Ok harsh words done now for some build info,
1. Level 1
2. Gestalt
3. Using these numbers for stats (in any order you wish) Before mods:
10, 10, 12, 14, 14, 16.
4. Any official Paizo book, no third party, no conversions. (As there will be enough tweaking to make LoL fit after players have been chosen.)
5. max starting wealth and HP.
6. Traits from the shattered star AP only.
7. Based on, or directly being, ONE lol champion only. I.E. not 'I want to play a mix of champ A and champ B.
PS: NO VOID CREATURES. Sorry Cho-gath fans. (spoiler, they will appear, just not as playable characters)
_____________________________________________________________
Feel free to ask any questions you want and to discuss builds etc.
I also need a back story as well as basic builds. Even if you are directly playing one of the league champs.
I will be picking the players on March 19th.
I am looking for four players.
It is a fair time away so that gives plenty of time for us all to work out builds and ideas.
GM is UK based so is on GMT. Though I am happy to accept players from any time zone.

I am somewhat interested, but I do have a few questions:
1. Being in the SS AP, if one is directly, say, Kayle, how does one ratify her story with the realities of SS and Galorian?
2. What alignments would you like? Will you be selecting the party to be essentially all Noxus or Demacia?
3. What are the rules for gestalt in Pathfinder?
Thanks!

Actually, now that I think about it, some champs have really difficult abilities to replicate in PF. For example, I have no idea how to replicate Xin's attack speed boost other than with iterative attacks. If I can't manage that, how are we expecting to have Teemo Mushrooms, Nocturne ultimate, or even Kat's shunpo?

Little Finder |

Stratos It is not set in Golarion, just borrowing the skeleton of the AP. rules on gestalt i can go over with you when i am back home. essentially it is multiclassing but you take both classes at every level, I.E at level 1 you would be level 1 (class) AND level 1 (class). there are more rules I will post more when i am at home.
I can take characters from both Demacia and Noxus but your character would have to be ok with working with people from the other place. it will be heavily set in Demacia.
imjohnnyrah, it would be fine to read up on it. So long as you took the time to actually read it and learn it I see no reason why a new comer to the game cant apply. If you like the idea of the AP then you are more than half way there. Here is a link to site about the story of LoL:
Some ability's will not cross over, attack speed will be done with items and feats and spells like haste. Mushrooms are alchemical bombs etc. Some things just simply wont translate but we do as best as we can with everything and we can get the right feel and achieve a great result.

Gestalt is fairly simple.
Look at the two classes at whatever level the gestalt character would be at, for example level 1 fighter/sorcerer.
Take all class abilities, proficiencies and starting feats of both the level 1 fighter and the level 1 sorcerer.
Take the better of BAB and the saves from the two classes. In this case it means that at level 1 you have +1 BAB (thanks to the level in fighter), you have a high fort save, and a high will save (from the fighter and sorcerer respectively). You will have access to spells thanks to the level in sorcerer, and will also have a ton more skill points than the normal fighter will have.
You will be able to fight with a blade and shield just as well as the fighter, and cast spells exactly like a level 1 sorcerer.
Gestalt gives characters versatility, and because of the access to increased spell lists etc means that combat and out of combat utility tends to be higher assuming diverse classes.
In more narrow class selections, then you become a paragon of doing that niche job. Something like a Druid/Ranger would be incredible at all things nature, but throw him into a scheming campaign where diplomacy and the likes might be more needed they will almost certainly struggle.

Shyvana the half dragon |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Okay someone took her name already Shyvana, so I changed it to the half-dragon.
Str - 16
Con - 12
Dex - 10
Int - 10
Wis - 14
Cha -14
I'm having to debate on the race, based off her art I would think something like drow but then again, maybe a tiefling variant like rakashka?
Master of Many Styles/Sorcerer

Many thanks, Jestem.
A while back, I tried to make a few league characters - Fizz and Taric. For the life of me, I couldn't find a way to make Taric have abilities even in the same ballpark. Fizz was tricky because of his jump! Gestalt should make things easier though.
I'd like to give Taric a go, I think. He could be a paladin of Shelyn & something else (but I don't know what yet).
This campaign will be truly outrageous.
Truly truly truly...
Outrageous.

Shyvana the half dragon. If I go by her splash art, Drow or human would work. Tiefling is fine as a choice as well. If you go for drow, You can not take the drow noble.
Also a quick note for everyone, picking Drow and anti paladin are fine, however some minor changes will be made, in that you wont be evil aligned for the purposes of role playing. This doesn't mean you have to pick a neutral or good god, pick any that make sense but you will not be playing an evil character. As I said in the add, be sensible you will have to work with others.
Big thanks to Jestem. Gestalt is all the benefits no where near any of the weakness's. It is fun to play and makes for more varied builds. If you get stuck on anything just ask.
Axolmotl, if you want to play a champ that may not get along, just base your guy on them instead of being them. Or change some personality traits but keep the personality as a whole. Viegar for example could be a halfling with a Napoleon complex. He may have desires to take over the world but isn't really evil (sorry Veigar) just has ideas he can't achieve alone. It is all about how you play it.
Stratos, Taric would work quite well as a Cleric of war and a spell casting class or a palidin and spell casting class. For the healing and shatter. As for gems, its all about the items. I can give your guy more gem slots in exchange for loosing a belt or other magic slots. Also magic items like rings and amulets can give you armour that hurts people.
Everyone. It will be hard to get an exact replica of any champ. Just build as close as you can, ill add some fluff and the point is to have fun not to copy and paste.

For me, it's hard to reconcile Taric being so lawful as per the paladin. Regarding his second class, the spell progression of cleric is a tough sell for me - he isn't the praying type, and his magic oughtn't be that powerful in my mind.
Also, given the high number of melee applicants, I think I'd just cluster things in a fray. Maybe I'll try a Ranger/Inquisitor Vayne.

Axolmotl |

Just a few thoughts on what to do with Veigar. I personally don't know of a way to emulate Event Horizon other than pits and walls, so I'm just going with more dakka.
Small tiefling - daemon spawn
Q passive from death knell racial
Passive from carrying around a lot of runestones and pearls of power, I guess. Or from the sheer number of little rays and whatnot. 5 from elemental bloodline, 7 from evocation school.
Crossblooded Dragon/Elemental (cold; space is cold, right?)
Primal Evocation Wizard, opposed enchant/illusion
Str 10
Dex 14+2
Con 12
Int 16+2
Wis 10-2
Cha 14
Also, when you say traits from the AP only, does that mean just that, and no generic traits?

Amazing Red |

Here is Spin2Win, I mean Garen. Unfortunately the only way to get something close to judgement is great cleave at level 4/5. But taking Cleave now works.
Garen
Male Human (Paladin) 1/Fighter 1 (Two Handed)
LG Medium Humanoid (Human)
Init +1; Senses: Perception +0
--------------------
Defense
--------------------
AC 18, touch 11, flat-footed 16 (+6 armor, +1 Dex, 1 Trait)
hp 12 (1d10 + 2)
Fort +4, Ref +1, Will +4
--------------------
Offense
--------------------
Speed 20 ft.
Melee BF Sword (Greatsword) +5 (2d6+6/x2)
Spell Like Abilities: Detect Evil At Will
--------------------
Statistics
--------------------
Str 18, Dex 12, Con 14, Int 10, Wis 10, Cha 14
Base Atk +1; CMB +5; CMD 15
Feats Power Attack, Cleave, Iron Will
Traits Defender of the Society, Stalwart of the Society
Skills Diplomacy +6, Intimidate +6, Sense Motive +4
Languages Common,
SQ Aura of Good
Other Gear Chainmail, Greatsword
--------------------
Special Abilities
--------------------
Bonus Feat: Garen can select one extra feat at 1st level.
Skilled: Garen gains an additional skill rank at first level and one additional rank whenever they gain a level
Detect Evil:At Will, a paladin can use detect evil, as the spell. A paladin can, as a move action, concentrate on a single item or individual within 60 feet and determine
if it is evil, learning the strength of its aura as if having studied it for 3 rounds. While focusing on one individual or object, the paladin does not detect evil in any other object or individual within range.
Smite Evil 1/day

TrueRepentance |

Im so in! Always wanted to do something like this with LoL. Have played LoL for years now and am hugely interested in this AP and game.
So many champs I'd like to be though...
Wondering how to make lux work if Garen here would want to work with his sister in game. Perhaps sorcerer/wizard? Help
Or I would love to make Sion work. He'd be a barbarian for sure. Focusing on intimidate. Is it ok him being undead though? How would that be resolved?

TrueRepentance |

Going to try and create Sion, the barbarian/oracle. Going onto barbarian/rage prophet. Or just a plain barbarian/fighter i am also considering. Will probably be as him before he was turned undead so as in he hasn't died. Wondering if he should be human or halforc? Im thinking half orc so he can get the orc double axe and intimidate bonus.

+1 on the half-orc idea.
I'm in the process of whipping together Vayne. How do the skill points work with gestalt? I've not used it before.

![]() |

The laser could be RPed via a lightning bolt spell.
You could also do it through either a prismatic ray spell or an arcane blast.

Rokku |

Remember, even though your paladin side can wear heavy armor, your Sorcerer side has to deal with the spell failure chance.
I'm dithering between barbarian|fighter and monk|fighter for Vi. Either way, the rage stuff or monk stuff gets refluffed as Hextech. Brawler fighter *does* give up all the armor-related fighter abilities, so I don't lose *too* much by not wearing armor. Other than y'know, AC.

Rokku |

So I'm gonna go Martial Artist (Monk) and Brawler (Fighter) to make Vi.
Little Finder, would you allow Craft (Hextech) as a skill, which I would eventually combine with the Master Craftsman feat to represent Vi making and maintaining her hextech gauntlets and suit?

Shyvana the half dragon |

Do we select only one trait from the shattered star book or two? My gut says one but wanted to ask.
-edit- Also if I'm adding claws, can we make the unarmed strike damage replace the claw damage as it goes up? I'd really hate to be using the unarmed strikes over the claws, and will be going MoMS dragon style, tiger and djinn probably.
