They Come in All Shapes and Sizes

Friday, April 14, 2017

Happy Friday and welcome back! This week in Pathfinder Battles: Crown of Fangs previews we are starting with the wereboar, a medium uncommon figure. If you like lycanthropes, then you definitely need to big the big guy up so that he can give your players a hug. This figure is based off of art from the Hell's Vengeance Adventure Path.

Next, we have Issaya, a lillend azata, and a large uncommon in the Crown of Fangs set, also based off of art from Hell's Vengeance. This miniature can stand in for any good aligned celestial you choose to field, or even a demon or devil, if you want to mess with your players. I know I do. I love the rainbow color variance on her wings.

Finally, we have Jolistina Susperio, a medium rare figure in this set. This figure is based off of art from the Curse of the Crimson Throne Adventure Path. It is also a perfect stand in for a bard, rogue, ranger, or slayer.

Well that's it for this week! Thanks for stopping by to check out this week's Pathfinder Battles reveal. Have a great weekend, all!

I like the Wereboar and Jolistina Susperio, but it seems like Issaya is a doppelganger for a Wereboar.

(Wrong picture for Jolistina)

I noticed that too, Swift. Probably just a copy/paste error.

I blame goblins. It's usually goblins.
Image fixes coming soon!

It was worth the wait. That is a sweet paint job!

That is a wonderful azata. ^_^

I no longer regret getting rid of my D&D one - this is definitely the superior product.

Yay! A mini reveal day that made my friend happy!

Dat Azata. I love the design, the colors, pretty much everything about it.

Hi Dan. :)

How long has outreach coordinator been a thing?
(I think I must have not been paying attention!)

Hello!

Let's see.....I started at the end of February. So, still the new guy.
I'll be doing social media, marketing, and general outreach stuff (technical term, don't look it up. >.>)

Hmmph!

*crosses arms and looks cross*

We gremlins simply don't get the respect we deserve around here! Always with the goblins! Feh! :p

I have a review copy of Jolistina. The paint job is every bit as sharp as the artist's rendition. Outside of the silver trim on the belt pouches, it's exact.

And the face is painted wonderfully, right down to the eyebrows. This really is a fantastic set.

That was the only thing I understand out of that list. :p

Welcome, New Guy.

I don´t want to sound ungrateful, but i´m not really excited anymore about seeing digital renders 4 weeks before release, when i´ve already seen the real production minis of all three in a youtube unboxing video... ;-(

Why does Wizkids provide Nerds on Earth with a brick, but Paizo doesn´t yet have actual minis? :-o

Anyway the Lillend is one of the (twelve) minis adaptations taken from Hell´s Vengeance which i like most (the others being the Dog, Boy & Girl). It´s great to have an uncommon one because of "Summon Monster VI" (please make a medium Dolphin, small Frog, Pony and small snake in the next sets). :-)

The Wereboar is good looking as an actual mini, but Jolistina looks awesome in the video!

So, thanks anyway for the preview, Michael - maybe we could see some pictures of actual minis somewhere before release (of course only if you actually have some and can spare the time to take pictures)? ;-)

Have a nice Easter holiday, everyone!

In the comments of the april 7th blog somebody posted a link with some info on the next set, Maze of Death.

At the time, people, me included, took the announced Elemental lords for one huge of each. Aren't they named Elder Elemental ?

And the Elemental Lords (Ymeri,Hshurha, Ayrzul and Kelizandri)and not necessary huge, Ymeri is large.

If so we'll have more unique creatures. Or maybe they just chose to use the word "lord" for the huge elder.

Good question.

Apparently our container got held up in customs this time.

That sucks. ;-(

But it´s great to see/read you here again, Erik!
I hope you´re doing well! :-)

On another note, i was wondering the same thing as DanyRay above about the two HUGE miniatures in the "Maze of Death" case incentive (which seems similiar to the "Spawn of Cthulhu" and "Clockwork Dragon" two-pack), but i think that will be adressed as soon as the current set is in stores and the first "MD" preview is presented by you &/or Michael.

It bears mentioning that the Huge elementals may have different names than their in-game counterparts due to the OGL. See: Sloth Demon, etc. (While "Huge Earth Elemental" would probably be fine, "Elder Earth Elemental" might not be.)

These all look great!

Also, not sure if there is anything to announce yet, but it's weird that the gen on 2016 promos aren't for sale on the site yet. I'm tempted to get them off eBay at markup, but is there any chance these will go on sale soon?

Yeah, I still need the Wikkawak (and maybe others). I'd prefer to get them here if possible.

I sure hope customs has let the Paizo minis container go by now. :-)
