Quinray sees no threats.

Oleg runs over to the group. "Well done my friends, perhaps when Tirnel and Quinray recover from their wounds and this mess is cleaned up, we can discuss going after the remaining bandits and the matter of a reward."

Some semblance of calm returning, Milo goes through the belongings of the slain bandits looking for anything of value (specifically Svetlana's wedding ring) and trying to recover his arrows.

At Oleg-It looks there will be fewer bandits to trouble you now. Outside of these slain how many others would you say there were? I'd like to see them receive Pharasma's judgement in the near future.

Oleg stares wide eyed at Kentaur, "I'd heard of such healing, but never thought to actually see it, the wounds just gone in seconds..."

The group is able to gather 40gp and 20sp off the bandits. There are also 3 sets of usable studded leather, 5 long swords, 5 short bows, 50 arrows and 2 mules. Most of the gear is in marginal shape, Oleg will pay you 50% of book value with the hopes of getting 60% when he makes repairs and sells.

Svetlana comes out to join Oleg and whispers something to him in his ear.

Oleg: "As you say dear, ahemm..., thank you for ridding us of these bandits but there are many more in the area, perhaps you can track them back to their camp and take care of them as well. You can use the outpost as a base of operations and Svetlana wants you to know that food and shelter are always available free of charge."

That said, Oleg uses the mules to start dragging the bodies out of the trading post to a spot downwind where he will burn them.

Svetlana begins preparations for lunch.

Ahem, I don't mean to be rude, but when we were sent to deal with bandits I didn't realize that there would be some inside the trading post as well. Only half of the value for these goods; and what of the pack mules and the rest of their equipment? This is a trading post, is it not? Or do you just trade blood for gold; mainly our blood for your gold. I had hoped that taking an arrow to the belly would provide more reward than kind words and a nice meal.

Tirnel stops for a moment, realizing that his brush with death has made him far more testy than he would have expected.

He attempts to recover somewhat-In any case, if you need help refurbishing the bows and arrows I can be of help. I have no small talents when it comes to the art of bowery.

Anger flashes in Oleg's eyes at Tirnel's comments.

"The offer is more than fair but if you doubt me take the items to town and see if anyone there will give you three quarters of what I have offered you."

He walks away from Tirnel and speaks to Milo quietly for a few moments.

Milo:

"Thanks for checking for the ring, in all the excitement I didn't even think to do that. Svetlana would be very excited to get it back, if I were a bettin' man I would bet the bandits have a camp somewhere along the Thorn River to the south of here and I would expect stiffer resistance than you saw here, this group must have been the dregs. And if you come across any moon radishes or fangberries while you're out there gather them and bring'em back. Svetlana can make a feast with the radishes and there's a old man named Bokken who lives in a hut to the southeast that can use the fangberries to make some useful potions for you."

Milo doesn't have much trouble picking up the trail of the bandits which runs to the South and leads into the forest after a few miles.

Message:

Range medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level)
Targets one creature/level
Duration 10 min./level
Saving Throw none; Spell Resistance no

DESCRIPTION
You can whisper messages and receive whispered replies. Those nearby can hear these messages with a DC 25 Perception check. You point your finger at each creature you want to receive the message. When you whisper, the whispered message is audible to all targeted creatures within range. Magical silence, 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal (or a thin sheet of lead), or 3 feet of wood or dirt blocks the spell. The message does not have to travel in a straight line. It can circumvent a barrier if there is an open path between you and the subject, and the path's entire length lies within the spell's range. The creatures that receive the message can whisper a reply that you hear. The spell transmits sound, not meaning; it doesn't transcend language barriers. To speak a message, you must mouth the words and whisper.

He addresses the group-I have heard no objection to tracking down and finishing off the kobolds. Presumably the bandits will take no additional action against Oleg's for a few day if not longer; I would guess that they would come against it next with their full force and that should take some time to muster if I don't miss my mark.

Milo, see if you can't pick up their trail. It should be easy enough to find given the haste in which they left.

Quinray, I would ask that you accompany Milo. You are clear of mind and cool of action. Milo could benefit from your influence and I've seen your steps; you will be no hinderance to him.
