Forest Terrain A line of light forest undergrowth grows along the edge of the stream. A stand of trees next to the stone circle counts as both trees and light undergrowth. Most of the stream is considered difficult terrain.

Hallimir begins to speak but is interrupted.
Blane will follow the retreat. "hiw is that stealing your joke your the pixie looking thing. Your supposed to joke about rats."
"I know a little joke about rats...." says the high-pitched voice from somewhere above and unseen.
"I've got a bad feeling about this." Airynbot says.
And out of the sky above Blane dives the little fey!
The elk moves forward a bit.

balnes ac will go to 16 while he is now a tiny creature.
blane will cast mage armor making his ac 20. and move.
im gonna assume that i can only move a single square now?
So you want to auto-fail, and become a foot and some change tall with a Strength of 3? Gotcha. I'm guessing with the lantern (2 lbs normally) you are in overloaded encumbrance territory.
While overloaded in this way, the character loses any Dexterity bonus to AC and can move only 5 feet per round (as a full-round action).
So yeah. Though your AC (with mage armor) is actually 17 because of the weight.
Blanes suddenly gets even smaller than he was and goes from halfling-size to something closer to the size of a house cat. Already a bit weak for his size he staggers under the weight of his own gear.
Blane Bonesnatcher |
My bad i thought you rolled the save i read it as i failed the save and shrunk. I do not want to just auto fail i like being a small not a tiny. And not going to change my actions move and mage armor

Gotcha. Sorry for the delay. Busy weekend/Monday.
The diminutive sprite dives, but Hallimir scores her with his knife on her way down--though not as badly as he would have expected given the little girl's size.

Airlyn blinks out of existence for a moment becoming one with the surrounding mist just as the elk would have slammed into him. No damage.

blane will double move 40ft away in a retreating action.
Quick continuity note: The party arrived from the north, the right side of the map.
Hallimir Duskrin |
"Alright then Blane...grab that lantern and let's be off before another little bug tries to stab us." remarks Hallimir as he slings his bow and retrieves his curve blade.
Blane Bonesnatcher |
Blane wearing the lanturn skull thing around his neck looks over at hallimir. "i agree i dont like being a pin cushion for tiny annoying pests. when blane gets out of this area he opens his journal and makes notes on the pixie. And the lanturn skull thing.
Hallimir Duskrin |
On the way back to the Inn, Hallimir puruses the journal for their next move.
"So what would everyone say to liberating some treasure from the dearly departed....personally I don't understand why people think that their corpses require valuables."
Hallimir Duskrin |
" I beleive its referred to as 'reclamation'....but perhaps we should rest for the evening back at the Inn and head off at first light."
The World's Most Interesting GM |
Gralton is about 300 miles away as the eagle flies from your current location. Given that there are few roads between the edges of Ustalav and the innermost River Kingdom (or even between many of the River Kingdoms themselves) you are looking at about 20 days of constant travel (assuming you travel at a base speed of 30'). Thoughts?
Hallimir Duskrin |
G'day mate. Nice to have you onboard. Either option is viable as we currently have a Fighter, A melee rogue (me) and a witch so we are a bit meele heavy, but party composition isnt that much of a big deal in PFS. Anyone who could heal would be useful but dont stress.
As for the plan. Is it viable to return to Daggermark and hire a wagon or something.....20 days is a long slog and heaps of weight in terms of rations.
The World's Most Interesting GM |
Yeah kinda knew that and reason I was asking though could try to make up a druid/cleric but did not have one generated. Though also have a sorcerer but think he needs some tweaking before I use him.
You are first level, you can tweak/rebuild post-use so long as you are alive and 1st level by the end. "Sorcerer? I meant s-barbarian, yeah, yeah that's the ticket." ;)
Blanch |
"You'rrre back? Vherrre did pale guy go?" Blanch asks in her hoarse, thickly accented voice. She was sweeping leaves off the floor of the Restless Bear. "You vould not happen to have seen my bearrr's head vould you?"
Put the Restless Bear map back up on top of the slides.
That reminds me, bzl109 (I'm gonna name my next gnome that, "bzl109" "How do you pronounce that?" "The way it's spelled: bzl109.") Make sure you have Google Slides downloaded as an app to your gaming devices. Otherwise you will be able to see the map but not touch it. The program has greater functionality on a laptop/desktop than it does a phone, but you should be able to zoom in and move things even from a phone (aside from rotary phones that is).
Arathorn Vallar |
Hmm do you think this will work then probably will focus on range with this guy and have the wolf be the up close side.
Also, is from one of my favorite books where the character is Bazil in the 109th remove the vowels since I would run into other people using the name and my default IGN.
Let me know if there is anything that I need to change since the character generator did not have a setting for a hunter so was adding things in afterwards.
Zaratina |
"Yes, we survived," Zaratina answers the innkeep. "Airyn? He flew away. Oh! The bear's head. A gremlin took it and threw it at us. It's by a stream near some standing stones, somewhere."
bzl109 |
Think the best way for me to join is to have my character already at the Restless Bear waiting on the party to return and just state either dwarf, half-orc, or elf sitting at the table and will play that character.
Unless you have a better way for me to join and going to enter not knowing the history of this mission but a character joining a group mid way would not so may not know everything that is going on for a little.
The World's Most Interesting GM |
Go ahead. We'll just say that you are a fellow student, explorer, researcher, whatever from the Grand Lodge in Absalom.
Arathorn Vallar |
Arathorn is sitting at a by the bar in the back of the room and upon hearing Blanch greet the group he stands up and approaches grabbing his longbow from where it was resting against the wall.
Blanch is this Airyn's companions then.
Arathorn Vallar |
Ignoring Blanch, Arathorn sizes up the group standing before him, and withdraws a scroll from the pouch at his belt.
I'm Arathorn here are the orders from the Society that require me to take Airyn's place with you and to recall him to Absalom for another task.
Whistles.
Venture Captain Valsin was unsure of the progress so I am in the dark as far as details go.
Blane Bonesnatcher |
blane pulls hid hood back and stares straight into the face of arathorn "the details is were about half way though following the clues in a journal so we can get some cutter thing."pulling his hood back up "im going to go lay down trying to keep pace with you tall ones wears me out"
Arathorn Vallar |
Stares at Blane
Cutter thing...and the next step would be?
The group should be seeing a wolf loping up behind them in response to Arathorn's whistle.
And let me know if I make a mistake using the animal companion still not sure when the handle animal skill would be require and assuming the bond makes that mostly meaningless in this case.
Hallimir Duskrin |
"ah yes. Good to have you on board...it was a shame Airyn had to depart so suddenly, he is a good friend...shared our confirmation you see...saved me on more than one occasion." Hallimir rubs the scar on his neck as he remembers the trials of that adventure.
"Still....can't be helped. Now let me see those orders." Hallimir peruses the orders.
"Well everything appears to be in order...as for our progress. As Blane indicated...we are collecting some goods for our contact Ulisha, the sale of which will allow us to purchase the Silverhex....I am sure you would have been briefed on that. We were just discussing our next destination, however, rereading this Map Ulisha provided us. Perhaps it would be better to proceed to Allenstead first.... "
Hallimir Duskrin |
"I think we are in Agreement. If no-one objects we shall set off at first light. "
Hallimir retires for the evening for a good night's rest before the long journey.
Blanch |
It is about 100 miles to Allenstead. At a base speed of 30, it would take you 6-7 days.
"I kould make you some grrruel to take vith you. It doesn't trrravel vell, but it's harrrd to tell zat when you eat it."
Options: Pack a lot of trail rations/pet food, hunt along the way (though this increases travel time), some combination of the two. There isn't enough civilization here to buy much in the way of transport like horses and such. And no coaches. There are coaches though that run from Tymon to Daggermark to Gralton.

The Razmiri Faith and Allenstead Lore - Roll one Knowledge (history, local, or religion) check and open all that apply. Alternatively you may wait until you arrive and make a Diplomacy (gather info) check at the same DCs.
Hallimir Duskrin |
knowlegde (local): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
That night whilst in his room, Hallimir thinks back to his pathfinder training and recalls some facts about Allendtead and the Razmiri Faith.
He rises the next morning and greets the others,
" Thank you Blanch, however, I have more than enough food for our journey. I was thinking about our destination in bed last night and I remembered that Allenstead is on the fringes of the Razminan Theocracy. Apparently Razmir is a Living God.... claims he completing the Test of the Starstone, not sure If I believe that. Apparently his faithful preach law, luxury, and obedience, but Allenstead has always resisted the conversion to this Theocracy.
Arathorn Vallar |
Untrained in all three of those so not going to attempt.
I have enough rations to get half way but perfectly willing to forage on the way to supplement. Otherwise would need to buy food.
Under his breathe
Don't know that the gruel really counts here.
Zaratina |
"Hmm. Strange that," Zaratina says in response to Hallimir's edification. "If you don't mind hunting, Arathorn, it would be a welcome difference from hard tack and salted meat. Hopefully, we can restock in Allenstead."
Hallimir Duskrin |
"Well it sounds like we have everything we need...Arathorn, do you mind if I say hello to your companion..."
Hallimir bends down and pulls a sliver of dried meat from his pack and holds it out for the wolf.
