That's disconcerting. Guess we'll see what he says.

OK, at the risk of getting a black name for myself...

And assuming for a moment that our DM is possibly going to take a powder with that track record and his silence for the last couple of days...

There is another Wicked Game recruiting HERE. Cain's player is in a game with this DM and says he's quite good. He also has a good track record. If some of you folks want to throw your hat in the ring there, I certainly wouldn't fault you for hedging your bets.

Havoc, we'd really appreciate you checking in.

He's a great GM. I'm in a game he's running and it's my favorite i've played on these boards.

Unfortunately he's only looking for newbie players for this one.

I was in the Mandro game. He pretty much left after three posts. I don't know if he's coming back, but we already have a group here, so What would you say to a Jade Regent campaign?

I do have to admit that school is going to slow it down more than a little, but I tend to be an obsessive refresher, I promise not to flake out on you.

Only problem is, I don't know if evil will work well with it.

I don't think evil is necessary for any of these characters. None of them are antipaladins or anything. With only minor tweaking all of us could be more of a neutral bent.

With the werewolf and the necromancer I can see how we'd be labeled as evil, but we could disguise that. Evil doesn't necessarily have to mean antisocial. I was already planning on disguising any undead minions I raise, and werewolves are sort of renowned for blending in with the sheep, so to speak. Might be fun to play "bad" guys in an adventure normally meant for hero types.

With the Aasamar and the Noblewoman as spokespeople and some forethought on the part of Cain and myself, I think we could work fine in any adventure path.

I'd be up for Jade Regent for sure, and agree with Xanos's thoughts on tweaking the chars....

Hmmm.... I'm not against those options. Kind of annoyed because I was all cranked up (for the second time now) for a Wicked game.

Let me think on stuff for a bit. Also kind of want to give Malvoisin a bit more time to justify his absence.

And Gwyn, I saw that you just started running another campaign very recently. How's that going? I hate to ask you to start a second one up when you just started a first and you know you're going to be busy with school coming up.

Love to hear your thoughts on this.

Okay other than a delay in making the map (Nana had to stay another night so we visited her until 9:00-9:30 last night, she's okay, just under observation). I'm already running a Jade Regent in RL, so being prepared won't be too much trouble. Main thing is I need to get my hands on a digital copy of the books so I can grab the maps.

OK, here's my take on it...

First, I appreciate all you folks willing to step up to the plate on this. Sincerely.

I really had my heart set on playing Wicked and it seems like we have a good group here - meaning the sort of folks that could make an evil campaign work instead of self-destruct... Which adds to my disappointment that this looks like the second Wicked game I've gotten into that tanked fast. Grrrr. (If I'm wrong, I'll happily apologize to Havoc.)

If someone wants to step up and lead Jade Regent, I'll be happy to play with you guys. BUT I have to stipulate that it won't be with Price. I'm luke-warm on the Inquisitor class in general and I tried to convert her to neutral/good awhile ago and it just didn't work for me. To me, she looks fun to play in an evil campaign where the odds are stacked against us. Outside of that - she is just 'meh' to me.

SO, IF Havoc is gone... and IF Adam/Gwyn has the bandwidth and willingness to DM a Jade Regent adventure with this group, I'd be happy to step in with some other class that would benefit the group. We could clearly use a better healer of some sort. Obviously, Adam/Gwyn as DM would have full power to veto any new build I propose.

Adam, pure hypothetical here, if you were to DM for us, would you keep Gwyn in as a DMPC? In case you think that is a 'taboo' for me... it isn't. You signed on to play not DM initially so I can totally see why you'd want to keep a character in the game. And Gwyn has a good can-opener skill-set that makes her invaluable. :)

Anyhow, that's my 2 coppers.

I pretty much echo what Price/Stormraven said.

I really appreciate your offer. If you have the time/desire to run another game with this crew, I'd be up for it. I'd want to run another direction with the character, though. Cain was meant for Talingarde. I want to be able to play him in Wicked when (if) my chance comes.

This is the second WotW game that's fallen through for me too. Very disappointing.

Yeesh! It's an epidemic.

Another chance? (This AP is suddenly very popular.)

Woot! Just put Xanos in as a submission. Wonder if we could just ask if he'd be willing to accept us all as a party?

Female Half-elf Bard 1/Unchained Rogue 3 HP: 20/20 AC 14/10/14: F+2, R +9, W+6 (+2 vs. Enchantments), Per:+18, Init: +10

Well, it looks like that worked itself out.

See ya over there.

I guess we're dropping this for the Xzaral recruitment?

I'm definitely making a submission over there. If AdamWarnock is still interested/available to run this Jade Regent game, then we can address that.

Do we want to see what happens in that recruitment before we make any final decisions here? I think this crew is looking pretty good, but I have to admit i really want to play Cain in a WotW game.

I'll run it, but it'll probably be may before I have time and money to do so. I only have the first one and I need to get digital copies for the maps. On the plus side, at least that'll give some time to get further in the RL game.

Well, anyone interested should keep this thread tagged. WE can touch base after this other game's recruitment is done and make a more final decision.

Seriously, thanks for being willing, Adam.
