Proposed Sense House Rule:
When using Sense the Force, any Force Sensitive nearby with an equal or higher Use the Force Rating automatically sense the Disturbance in the Force and may either allow themselves to be sensed OR hide themselves from the probe with a Use the Force check, if that check exceeds the check of the searching Force Wielder they remain undetected. Thoughts on this rule?

AJTD1 is able to administer the medicinal spice to the family, "I got a lot of friends that need help, can you help them too?"

Gunnar frowns, "The best way to help people would seem to be to deliver the spice to the CSA".

The father retorts, "You would think that. you're CSA!"

Endregaard - Day 2 - Afternoon

Caleb

Caleb's shot slams into the gang member but he is still on his feet, in a fit of rage he draws a dagger and charges at you while his companion laughs and fires his blaster at you!

GM Light ONLY:
Thug 1 HP=4/11 -1 Condition Track. Rage - Melee Attack 1d20 + 3 - 1 ⇒ (7) + 3 - 1 = 9. Thug 2 Blaster 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 vs DC 28 (cover).

The shot slams into the transport while the dagger misses you by a wide margin Caleb.

Round 2 - Caleb acts first!


"Beg pardon sir, we landed an entire ship of medicine just outside the city, for distribution and administration by the CSA at the field, do you have reason to doubt fair administration by the CSA?"

"The most wealthy appear to be the recipients of the medicinal spice so yeah, I think that the CSA would not be the best choice..." Hi voice trails off though as Gunnar locks eyes with him, Gunnar is not staring him down but all the same, his gaze quiets the man down.


"Peace Gunnar, it is likely the work of a few individuals collecting dishonestly to put persons ahead of others. Beg pardon sir I am certain that one of rank in the CSA can provide greater oversight."

"To get any sort of medicinal spice you have to have a color coded card. You can't get one without credits. The card color corresponds to how frequently you can receive treatment, what days you can receive treatment, and maybe even how potent the doe you receive is. The poor can't afford the cards and even if you can afford it, if you are already infected, good luck having anyone get near enough to you to sell you one". He coughs violently spitting up phlegm to, you assume unintentionally, emphasize his point.

His wife shakes her head in agreement with everything that he says while the children crying a bit fro the shots hug their mother, the youngest says, "Will we get better now with these shots mommy?"


Endregaard - Day 2 - Afternoon

Despite the man's seeming berserker rage your powerful hit brings knocks him unconscious. Yes a 20 is always a Crit no confirmation needed in Saga.

GM Light ONLY:
Thug 2 Blaster 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 vs DC 28 (cover).

The shot once again slams into the transport that you stand behind, the Thug also moves to cover behind a burned out stand of some sort.

Round 3 - Caleb GO!


"It is true the cards can tell the proper follow through and dosages, but the medical tracking cards or immunization record should not be at a cost. This is disconcerting information not at all in line with galactic outbreak protocols."


With a bit of anger at the situation the counselor will tell the children You should get better now little ones.


Gunnar's jaw tightened.


"Is there a local governmental administration with the infrastructure you would trust to distribute a full cargo ship of medicines?"


We have someone among us who might be able to help us to understand what is going on, from an insider's perspective. says the counselor looking at Gunnar.


Gunnar:
You have no interaction with this portion of the blockade administration and quite frankly had no idea it was going on. However you are at least as highly ranked, if not of a higher rank than the Commander on the ground so if you wish to take action directly as a CSA representatative, you can certainly do so, or try to anyway.


I will push us forward a bit no later than Sunday as I need to start merging the timelines for the groups together due to closing proximity...

Caleb charges forward out of cover to negate the cover his foe has teken, a reckless move for a Jedi but not a Jedi who was not always had the easiest time telling right from wrong.

GM ONLY:
Blaster Pistol 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22. Stun 3d5 + 5 ⇒ (3, 5, 1) + 5 = 14.

Caleb's gamble pays off as he brings the thug down with one shot.

As the scout team returns they see that Caleb has been busy, one dead swoop gang thug and another stunned.

Caleb shakes his head, "The one I had to kill was crazy, frenzied. Did you encounter anyone similar in your travels? And uh, how did it go?

The symptoms are not the same that you saw at all on the family you assisted. Inspecting the body of the thug he did not even show signs to the plague! Whatever was effecting him was something else altogether.

Needed to move this forward to keep pace with the other threads sorry for railroading it a bit. I don;t do posting minimums but I need at least once a week RP and more frequently for combat so we can keep the pace up. I generally check in every second to third day as time allots. Thanks guys! :-}

Urgh, GM, I didn't think the punch would kill the guy, I thought it would deal non-lethal damage or something similar.
”Told you pal, not worth it.” he says to the dead body and finally starts to get angry with the entire situation. This could be so easily avoided had the guys just listened to his advice.

The Jedi turn to the others and continues ”So, what now? Are we done here?” he asks oblivious to the things that happened while he was dealing with the thugs.

The first thug is very dead, the blaster bolt having slain him instantly. Inspecting him it is clear he does not have the telltale signs of the plague or if he does it is a different strain than that which the family had.

Quen identifies the look on his face as one that would be akin to a user of deathsticks. AJTD1 though tests the fallen thugs blood and it comes up negative for that drug. Whatever drug is in this thug's system, the Droid has never encountered it before.

The other thug is merely stunned and in ten minutes will be awake once more.

Do you wait to speak with him, bring him along, or leave him and head to the field where the CSA has its base of operations planet side?


I would like to question the unconscious one when he awakens. We must find out what is taking place

There is something not correct going on here. We must tread carefully as we do not know what alliances have been struck here and in the space port. advises the counselor. We cannot have divided loyalties he says looking at Gunnar.

Gunnar turns to Quen, "Do not worry Quen Pah, I serve the Light Side of the Force still. I agree, something not right is going on here and I will use my position within the CSA to right those wrongs. We do not have time to wait for this thug to wake up. Let's take him with us and question him once we have secured the facility".

If you all agree, go ahead and approach the field in the transport.

AJTD1 pilots the transport to the field that you briefly glimpsed before touring the rest of the center of Tel Bollin.

The crowds are being controlled by at least two dozen troopers in riot gear. Several other troopers walk through the lines holding datapads.

Two guards at a checkpoint stop you both wear clean pressed gray suits and rebreathers, "Do you have identification badges?"

Gunnar looks at the Guards and barks, " I am Lieutenant Commander Gunnar Vryce and I am here to assist these emissaries in the delivery of Medicinal Spice to Tel Bollin. Who is in charge here!?"

The guards are taken aback and salute, "Sorry Lieutenant Commander, we were not made aware that you would be visiting! Head to the main compound there you will find Sergeant Minx".

Can I assume you move through or do you stop to ask any questions?

Sorry for the delay folks, RL was hectic this week. I found a replacement to play Gunnar for the remainder of this chapter! He will post soon and we can move forward again. He is a very reliable poster so we will begin to move forward more quickly now. Good timing for being sick Caleb, I was unable to post anyway!

Gunnar nods to the guard and says my crew and I would like to freshen up prior to meeting the station commander. Please have fresh uniforms brought for myself and the crew and ensure each member is given identification passes including myself. Bring us to a room where we can do this and then right after to the commander. I will require a toiletry kit so I may shave as I have been deep space for some time. Gunnar smules to the fellow keeping his connection in case rank alone would not allow some of this to occur. Change requires appearances and identification badges first...
