I have added the radish patch and the trap filled glade to your accomplishments in the campaign info tab.
As a side note I intend to continue to level Mikmek as time goes on. He will continue to be of lower level than the PC's. Is anyone thinking of taking the leadership feat in the future who might enjoy Mikmek as a follower (with massive bonuses to the relationship)?
I was reviewing Mikmek and his starting feat is point blank shot, but he has no ranged weapon.....
Also the racial traits and feats are pretty cool additions.
Marten Gorlan |
We are all starved for charisma, not exactly kingdom leader potential... :-)
Asta Blackheart |
Well, my next feat choice is Additional traits; I'm thinking of taking World traveler and Strip the Veils (Sivanah-related religion feat, which ties in nicely with Asta's religious persuasions), to get Diplomacy and Sense motive.
I figure I'm going to need these skills in the future. ^^;
After Additional traits, I was thinking of taking Elemental spell (electricity), since I can't use fire. After that... maybe Leadership would be a solid choice.
Seraph_ |
Whoops I never posted the updated Mikmek, will do so when I am back on my Laptop sorry!
Seraph_ |
Lol the only one not cha starved is me. So I probably will go for leadership when the Tim comes. :)
Mikmek would be a neat follower~

How much wind/weather stuff would you guys like to have in the game?
Also opportunities for spur of the moment hunting? If you want this we can, if not you can just declare it and make survival rolls.
Personally I think survival rolls with nothing else is kind of silly....
Seraph_ |
Weather sounds fine to me. :)
Descriptive survival rolls are always fun. Reminds me of Oregon trail. :D
Marten Gorlan |
Weather is fun.
I am not interested in hunting, but if the others want to do more than handwave it, I am ok with that.
KenderKin |
I play a druid. Weather and hunting can only make Torod look good.
Torod can make survival rolls and supply the party with food, which can be done via daily dice rolls...(ie handwaving).
Weather can represent an immediate threat so I will likely mention it.
I am assuming also that everyone is still eating moon radishes.....
Elaina Tirel |
Don't forget, Elaina has a +6 to survival as well, +7 if she's tracking.
Sorry for the lack of posting. Real-life's been a bear lately.

I was curious if everyone was ok with the flow of finding the grave-site.
The module basically says DC 20 perception check you found it!
The flavor text includes the brambles and berries. My idea was first you find the berries, then notice the rocks then take a second look at the rocks and then start to figure out what the stack of rocks is about.
I guess I just wanted some feed-back on the "flow" I added...

If Seraph wasn't a paladin I could see her debating the usefulness of buried treasure when the living need it more.
But alas its a battle I am not fit to win this time.
@kender
It was nicely done making the site more mysterious btw. :)
Seraph_ |
lol - Seraph is flexible. ;)
If only Asta knew how dangerous petting a Paladin of Arshea is. Lawful Good Representation of the God of Abandon. >.>;
Kidding aside.
Arshea allowed me to avoid the lawful stupid aspects, mostly, I wish we could do Paladin of Freedom (CG) like in the Unearthed Arcana in 3.5. That was fun and way more fitting for Seraph~ ;)
Asta Blackheart |
Hey, Paladins don't have to be lawful stupid, and they don't need to be sticks-in-the-mud. They just need to be the best they can be and follow their code of chivalry. Look at Faiths of Purity; there are various ways to follow the Paladin code. ^^
Seraph_ |
Lol, I need to buy that book. Thanks for letting me know there was some codes in there. :D
PDF's for the win! :)
I played a elven hospitaller who skirted the Lawful good aspect so much he lost his powers for a week when he aided criminals in escaping from justice. They were rebel fighters but he knocked out a half dozen lawmen so that they could escape with medicine and goods to help the oppressed and sick citizens. He lost his powers because he did this more than once lol.
It was a rough (PBP) week with no powers.
XD
Asta Blackheart |
Hmmm... Something to consider for the future: as our resident Paladin, Seraph could found a chapterhouse for the Arshean Paladin order. If so, then maybe an Arshean temple, too? That way, we could shoot the Calistrians out of the water before they can get a foothold. ;)
Another thought: if any Chelaxians try to move in on our territory in the future, we could try heading them off with a temple to Lissala. She's LE, I know, but she preaches civic obedience, is weakened since the death of Thassilon, and if we constrain her clergy to the LN sect, it'd head off the Chel's hideously evil devil-deity at the pass.
In any case, Asta will be trying to establish a temple to Sivanah.

Unfair! ^^; With Paladins, good and justice must come before law. If they didn't, Paladins would be Hellknights...
Seraph_ |
Oh there will be a temple of Arshea, but it'll be interesting how to play that out. As temples of Arshea would remind me of a great bathhouse, places where people can relax and be consulted by priests in the ways of Abandon as Arshea preaches.
As my friend put it once. "So a brothel run by clerics?"
*Face Palm*
I need to look up those other dieties as they sound interesting. Calistra wouldn't be too big of a problem would it? Better than Gyronna or the CE scary ones. :S

True but Paladins have to obey the law of the cities they are in, with respect. He allowed burglers and theives to make off with goods and prevented justice from being brought down on them. Whether an evil society or not, my DM put it as he broke the most basic of codes.
And He broke it well. ( T_T)/
Asta Blackheart |
Here's Lissala. With a mug like hers, I'd feel pretty evi, too. ;)
About an Arshean temple - from what I've read about her, it could be part bathhouse, part art studio (or studios, for numerous forms of art), but also part therapy center; people could come there for consultations when life gets them down so far that they can't see the way back up. Release isn't just physical, it is also psychological. The priests would probably understand that. Sex would probably be on offer, but as it's a good-aligned religion, it wouldn't be the absolute focus; just one of many ways to find release. And, in some cases, therapy.
Calistrians are more focused on lust and revenge. She may be better than Gyronna, but she's plenty troublesome herself... and her temples really do double as brothels. >_<; I know cities have those, of course... but still.
Hmmm... Arshea constantly wears veils... and veils are part of Sivanah's portfolio. The interaction between their temples could get interesting. :p
Seraph_ |
Lol!
True I like the Arshean religion because it isn't like what my friend describes. He just has no tact. lol
This will be interesting when we get to the kingdom building phase. :)
Asta Blackheart |
The presence of Erastil is going to be a given, of course.
Hmmm. Maybe shrines to the Eldest of the First World, too, seeing as there's a Fey presence? They might be a little less quick to make a mess if we can get at least part of our kingdom designated as holy ground. ;)
Asta Blackheart |
Or maybe just Imbrex, the Lantern King, the Lost Prince, Magdh, Ng the Hooded and Shyka the Many; the other ones seem kind of more malicious. ^^;
Elaina Tirel |
Hmm, I can see Seraph teasing Elaina. I know I haven't been been RPing her like I should, but Desnans are known for being a little aloof, and spending several years in the company of Bandits would have made her a little leery of having any kind of relationship.
Seraph_ |
Update.
Got injured at work today. Posts will be sporadic for today and possibly for the next couple days. Sorry for the inconvenience. =/
Seraph_ |
Elaina
Oh the teasing isn't done. Not yet~ ;) But Torod has dibs at the moment. lol!
Seraph_ |
Yeah, mostly. I had a 3,000 lb piece of equipment fall and then swing at me like a spiked bat. It had been suspended by our mobile boom truck but the boom hoist failed and dropped the load 2 ft. Which it was only 1.5 ft off the ground. I luckily hadn't been too close to it and was able to backpedal away from the worst of it but I got stuck between a metal plate and the swinging equipment. However I had moved back enough that the piece of equipment swung past and grazed my lower left leg. It luckily didn't puncture my coveralls but it gave me 28 abrasions. Which made me bleed like crazy at first.
Fun times lol. Oil Field work isn't always easy~
When our mechanic tested the boom, which has had this same issue multiple times now but was unproven by our mechanical department, it failed again under controlled load and that Boom Truck is finally and thankfully being decommissioned. Only took my ass getting hit to put the final nail in the coffin.
A little background on me I am nearing almost a decade in the oilfield and nearly a decade of Well Testing work for BP, Conocophillips and large companies. I am a senior Well Testing Operator and our companies Competency Supervisor. I have a lot of respect up here and in my near decade of working up here I have never had an incident like this before. So thankfully my reputation carries significant weight, along with the witnesses who saw the boom truck fail after I was off location.
I'm just glad it was me and not a new worker who wouldn't have saw it coming. A direct hit would have resulted in broken bones and worse case scenario, injuries that would have proven fatal due to our lack of facilities for major truama up here.
Seraph_ |
Bottom line is though...
I was just lucky.
But Seraph will be here to play, flirt and harass ;) as soon as I am done icing my leg lol.
Marten Gorlan |
Sorry, I had a busy weekend. The number of new posts is overwhelming :-)
@Seraph: I am glad you are more or less all right. From the description it could have been a major accident.
Seraph_ |
Thanks guys. :)
Got my final checkup and tetnis{?} shot and I am back to work lol.
My leg, back and buttocks is bruised but I think my pride is more injured then my body lol.
I am glad though that this rust bucket of a crane is never coming back.

Yikes, man. I know what it feels like to have angels watching over you. Glad to hear that common sense won the day and everything's good.
( Everything is good right? ;D )
Seraph_ |
Physically yeah.
Work wise, we will see. More then likely I will come out of this okay. But my company has to do an investigation and they can sometimes get more wrapped up in how the People fail instead of Equipment.
No matter what happens though I can always find a different job. Worst case scenario. ;)
Seraph_ |
LMAO Yes! :D
I think I'd go for mystique's powers or Wolverines Regeneration. Now that would be cool. :)
