Female Gnome Paladin 5

Assuming it is clear enough for her to do so Celena will charge a Gnoll

Attack (incluing +2 charge)

1d20 + 14 ⇒ (16) + 14 = 30

Damage

1d6 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

Male Human Cleric 5

N'Djamena starts casting Call Lightning, hoping to use Nethys's destructive magicks to blast the gnolls to smithereens.

AC 21, FF 19, T 12; HP 41/41
ASF 10% 1d100 ⇒ 41

Kelden goes forth into battle.
Greataxe +1, lawful outsider bane, fav enemy
to hit 1d20 + 6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 6 + 4 = 11 damage 1d12 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 4 = 10

GM

To be honest I have no clue how much Inspire Ayish has left it can not be much. Also Normally by the rules you can not charge up stairs, but eh it never made sense so I always tend to allow it

Vrealk rushes forward to clash at one of the Head throwing Gnoll, but it blocks his attack with its sword as Kelden moves forward swinging his greatax over head, but the Gnoll evades his attack. The two Gnolls strike at Vrealk and Kelden, but have no more luck hitting them then they did the Gnolls Celena also charges, Knocking Vrealk away and slamming into her target, who is rocked by the attack. N'djamerna calls his gods might from above, smashinginto one of the second line Gnolls. One more Gnoll steps up to swing at Kelden, the rest seem to ready weapons.

Init:
* Vrealk= 18(went)
* Kalden = 17(went)
* Aysh = 16(went)
* Head throwing Gnolls= 12 (went)
* celena = 9(went)
* N'Djamena = 8(went)

Round 2

The Map

Markhet will rid Larrs closer to the fight and throw fire, she has a three uses left I believe:

ranged touch attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 111d6 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

Male Human Cleric 5

N'Djamena blasts a gnoll with lightning.

3d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 6) = 16

Female Gnome Paladin 5

Celena continues to press the attack

Attack
1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13

Damage

1d6 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

Vrealk tears into the closest gnoll with gusto ...

attack 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30
damage 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

attack 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21
damage 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

if inspire courage still applies, add +2 to rolls

crit confirm 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12
damage 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

GM

Markhet tries throwing fire into the crowed , but with so many moving she hits nothing. Vrealk tears into a nearby Gnoll as Kelden brings down his great ax upon the same Gnoll killing it. Ayish moves forward and sings as one of the Gnolls strikes at Celena, but the Gnome easily evades. Celena strikes back, but the Gnoll evades her as well. N'djamerna's Lighting hits and kills a Gnoll in the back of the group.
Three of the Gnoll seems to think better of the attack and start to withdraw.

Round 1

The map

AC 21, FF 19, T 12; HP 41/41
ASF 10% 1d100 ⇒ 60
Shield 10/10rd

Kelden uses his wand of shield as he moves to the next group of gnolls.

Markhet lets the reigns go slack as Larrs bounds up the stairs likely her companions will get in the way but if not Larrs charges into battle:

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 181d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Markhet throws fire:
Ranged touch attack 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 161d6 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

Male Human Cleric 5

N'Djamena follows slowly in his cumbersome armor.

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Ayish has her whip out and handy. Ready to attack any Gnoll in range.

Also, sorry for not keeping better track of Ayish's use of her Bardic abilities.

GM

Gonna point out at lest 1 gnoll did not run..mostly as he went before the other group. He is still at the top of the stairway

Male Human Cleric 5

N'Djamena will zap him with lightning, then.

3d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 6) = 9

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

Vrealk also tears into the gnoll, after taking a 5' step to flank it with Celena. If I can't fully flank, then I'll use a move action and use one of thr rolls as an acrobatics check

attack 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21
damage 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 plus 2d6 ⇒ (4, 4) = 8

attack 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27
damage 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 plus 2d6 ⇒ (3, 5) = 8

Just a post to make sure I get to see new pots showing up.

GM

The last Gnoll standing in your way goes down as Vrealk flanks him and then guts him. Kelden moves after the three running Gnolls, Ayish moves up as Celena plows forward as well. N'djamrana comes to the head of the stairs and drops one of the fleeing Gnolls with lighting. The two reaming Gnolls run out a door, you opened much eailer as Markhet has larrs try and close range. She throws her fire burning one of the fleeing Gnolls.

Round 3
Init:
* Vrealk= 18 [went]
* Kalden = 17 [went]
* Aysh = 16 [went]
* Head throwing Gnolls= 12 [dead]
* celena = 9 {went]
* N'Djamena = 8 [went]
* Gnolls= 8 {went]
* Markhet/Larrs= 7{went]

Round 4
Init:
* Vrealk= 18
* Kalden = 17
* Aysh = 16
* celena = 9
* N'Djamena = 8
* Gnolls= 8
* Markhet/Larrs= 7

The map

Kelden will stop at the interior set of double doors to let the others catch up to him and Celena. "They are gone."

Markhet on Larrs has a 40 move so she'll try to chase the gnolls down before they can alert anyone else,

Markhet throws fire:
Ranged touch attack 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 181d6 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

Larrs runs up and bites: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 231d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Ayish will move to help Markhet deal with/finish the last Gnolls.

Possibly a double movement to get within whip range to help flank etc with Markhet and Larrs.

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

Vrealk rushes after the fleeing gnolls, alomst bouncing off the walls. If you didn't know any better, you might even see a light skip in his step and a bright toothy grin.

He actually starts singing ...

"Watch out gnolls
Your time has come
Vrealk and his friends
Got you on the run!"

Female Gnome Paladin 5

Celena follows the group a short distance behind.

GM

Vrealk runs to the double doors, hot at the chase, Kelden moves to the doors but goes no farther. Ayish Celena and N'djamerna fallow behind. The Gnolls from though the second set of doors and slam them closed, leaving Markhet chasing them but unable to follow without opening the doors.

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

Vrealk stops at the doors, looks at them, and then reaches up and knocks.

"Knock-knock, worm-bait!" he yells, then turns to Kelden and Markhet and laughs quickly. "Me thinks we all get to sides, in case when we open doors they throw arrows or spells through. Who want honors?"

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Ayish comes to a panting halt and waves Vrealk in an effort to calm her Goblin companions down,

"I think them running is the better part of valor. Every one is spent. We should find some where to hold up and rest..." She suggests.

"Yes. Let them flee. Those gnolls won't be back anytime soon if at all and I want to make sure this place is no longer suitable for them if they do."

Male Human Cleric 5

Are there any parts of the compound we haven't investigated yet?

Vrealk looks at Ayish quizzically. "Spent? Me not spent, friend-Ayish. In fact, me don't have scratch on me. Me thinks we should strike now, before flea-bags can get reinforcements. Besides, this is fun!"

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Ayish laughs, though she herself is definitely feeling more than just a tad haggard and spent. She both waves down Vrealk's enthusiasm as well as fanning herself, flush as she is with all the racing around every one has been doing. She totters and leans against any handy nearby wall...

GM

A good amount. Most of the second floor is untouched, ya guys went to the 3rd first.

That 7 Con is starting to play out for Ayish :)

Male Human Cleric 5

"Let's see what's on the second floor," N'Djamena suggests. "If it's too much for us to handle, we can retreat to the sanctuary."

"That is a good plan. Ayish, will you be able to keep up?"

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Ayish steps away from the wall, straightens up and nods in the affirmative as she adjusts her skirts.

"Me thinks that is great plan, friend-N'Djamena! Give no time for gnolls to regroup and get organized!"

Female Gnome Paladin 5

"Second floor it is then."

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Aysh smiles....

"..Oh...goody....more stairs..." She says quietly.

Kelden makes his way to the stairs. With a smile on his face, Kelden prepares his bow for more action.

"One day Ayish," Markhet says, "When Larrs is bigger, he could carry you and the tiny Markhet up the stairs. However right now Larrs is still a big teenager with big floppy feat and teeth too big for his head, but he is growing friend Ayish. He is growing!"

Markhet points to the stairs and the lion quickly bounds to the top.

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

Vrealk takes off up the stairs. "Wait! Me should go first! To scout!"

GM

I was mistaken, it was floor 1 you guys blew past. If you recall you checked the main room, found the whole into floor two you lowered Vrealk down then more or less charged down the steps.

Vrealk is the first back into the large chamber, but he hears nothing.You have some options of where to go, to the left unwinds a hall and north past crumbling walls lays what looks to be an earthen passage.

N'Djamerna:

You still feel a urge, a strong call to go below, something tells you an item of great importance lays below

The Map

Follow Vrealk's lead.

Male Human Cleric 5

"Down!" N'Djamena suddenly blurts. "Something of great importance lies beneath this building."

N'Djamena will let Vrealk lead the way, if he so desires.

"Have we dealt with all the gnolls this one wonders," Markhet says, "Exploring ancient ruins is exciting but Markhet wants to deal with the most pressing issues first."

"We just came up. There was nothing down that way. Maybe there's a way down in the back." Kelden indicates the passage behind the crumbling walls.

Female Gnome Paladin 5

"Down is fine with me."

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

Vrealk shrugs, and starts towards the back, looking for a new way down.

stealth 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (12) + 21 = 33
perception 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29

Didn't we decide not to explore the bottom level around the sanctuary? I thought there was more there, but we decided to eliminate the gnolls first. Or I could be mistaken.

GM

There was a level below it, you guys wanted to clear the gnolls out first. However so far it looks as if they did not know of the level. So it should be safe if you wish to rest for the night before tackling the lower levels.

When the dm suggests you rest before an encounter you should listen.
