That there is actually worth a reroll, Gambit.

Also, I am in another 5e game here, playing a Druid, and it seems to be dying a slow painful death, so I might have more time and energy to devote to

Artegallio barely got a chance to prove himself!

aannnnd... as quick as that the GM of that game makes an appearance today with a cryptic post

I'll be celebrating the beginning of my 52nd circumnavigation around the sun on Saturday (my 51st Birthday!), so might be away from the boards for a day. Hope to hear how things are going tomorrow. Would like to know if the DM thinks my character is ready to roll. Oh, and I took the +1 spear, if that is alright

Sorda will be my rogue applicant. Unfortunately time is at a premium at the moment so his profile needs redrafting.

DM

Spoiler:
As a noble LG arcane trickster I am building a background whereby he hunts for undead or other Ravenloftian evils on behalf of a hidden organisation (much like the Harpers in Faerun). How does that sound? His spells may not work on undead so well but with several skills, spells and sneak attack he is a decent PC.

Sorda: That sounds good. Lawful good, even.

Jocelyn - looks good.

So for finished characters we have...

Morgan Il'fayne (warlock 5) (Vrog)
Wintermoon (druid 5)
Anhur (monk 1/cleric 4) (D Kal)
Jocelyn (bard 5)
Cerin Etherstrom (fighter 5)

Expressed interest/mentioned a class

haruhiko - (bard?)
French Wolf/Sorda (rogue?)
Gen Thunderfist (paladin?)
Daniel Stewart (wizard?)

and others who we may or may not hear from again.

I'm going to let recruitment ride through the weekend.

Just wanted to update a bit, I'm still working on a Paladin with the Oath of Devotion. Most of the crunch is out of the way and I'm working on a backstory now.

yay, a brother holy knight! ;_

I am so confused

About what?

@ Jocelyn: because Vrog's Warlock thinks she's a paladin?

Pathfinder Lost Omens Subscriber

I'm probably going to drop out. Timing is just wrong for me to start in a new campaign, and not ready to do 5th level yet.

Good luck to all... You've got a great group here. I'll keep looking to see if an opening opens up when I've got more time to make a character.

Best luck scranford, I know how distracting reality can be from what's important. ;)

Terquem/Jocelyn: ages ago you asked me about bardic inspiration dice, and because of one thing and another (read: flakiness) I never got around to answering. The player can either add the inspiration by editing the original post, or by adding a new post. As long as they make clear what they're doing, there's no problem I can see. Of course, I generally don't see everything, so if you have a solution, I'd love to hear it.

Bard's all finished, just copying and pasting the abilities to the character itself. Everything else is up on Myth-weavers, but there's a link in his description. Once again Vul.

When it comes to this kind of stuff I tend to type what I want to do, roll dice, preview the result, describe a reaction to the roll, post. If I have inspiration then I would roll the 1d4 or advantage die or whatever after the initial preview, then preview again, add it all up, describe result...

I like that method better so that the game thread doesn't become clogged up with excessive posts that link math (albeit simple addition) and potentially alter outcomes over several posts.

sounds great!

The suspense!

The silence is killing me. Nevertheless, going to give anyone who might be wrapping up til tomorrow AM.

The Exchange

I'm still playing with the idea of switching to outlander background.

Why switch? You've got a solid build.

The Exchange

I just wondered if the outlander background might better represent the feel I'm going for. The acolyte is great and all, but with 4 levels of cleric and the acolyte background, I thought the religious aspect might be over-emphasized.

My move went well, but that means I am surrounded by boxes and lots of other little jobs. I doubt I'll get this written today or even tomorrow so with regret I'll have to step aside.

Good luck with the game DM Nerk.

I should know better. Every time I run a recruitment, I end up waiting a few days to let people finish their characters up, and then they don't.

So we are going ahead with the following:

Morgan Il'fayne
Wintermoon
Anhur
Jocelyn
Cerin Etherstrom

I have not OCD reviewed your character sheets yet, but make sure you have your magic items.
Please put your AC, passive perception, hps and init bonus in your header.

Will plain ol' perception mod do?
Init is just dex right (excepting alertness feat)?

Anhur wrote:

Yeah passive is 10+perception, including your proficiency bonus if such is applicable,

Initiative is just dex mod and alert feat if applicable (correct)

Wintermoon has it.

Cerin pauses, a long thoughtful moment, watching the letter, waiting for a reaction. He stands, shortly, and strides across the room. Presenting his empty glass to the barkeep for refilling, he breaks the seal on the note as the man refills his glass.

He unfolds the letter and begins to read, mouthing along to the words scrawled on the page...

Thanks for giving me a spot here. This is my favorite module, but I've never run it or nor been a part of it. So this has me pretty excited.

Good luck to all of you who got in. You are going to need it.

Hold on, if Haruhiko88 is not joining the game as a Valor College bard, can I switch back to my original build?

Jocelyn, yes.

Also worth mentioning, discussion and gameplay are up.

oops.
I suppose I should have said.

Alright, I am going to swing back to the other college, and get on over to the game as soon as I can
