Anhur is tall and thin with dark eyes and a severe countenance. He prefers robes to armor and magic to swords, being a disciplined scholar of the arcane. He is as practiced in words as he is in magic and can make even the bravest soldier cower under his withering invective. He doesn't care much for others except as they may help him further his own goals, which largely amount to further pursuit of magic.

Anhur was a mage's apprentice in High Rock for most of his early years. He finally left to seek admittance to the Arcane University. However, it was soon discovered that he consorted with the feared Hermaeus Mora to acquire forbidden knowledge. A spiral of unfortunate events proceeded, culminating in his arrest.
