Kuraishimo glares back at Mavaro, his tentacles writhing a bit at the possible insult.

One of the men that is excavating turns to Aetherys
"Brutal? My lady, you are indeed misinformed." the man frowns "Laktharis is but a gentle god. It is known."
Valais refuses to drop her hood and whispers to Aetherys
"I do not think that me speaking is a good idea. My features might endanger the mission."
As you speak, the Sarkorians finish clearing the entrance to the cathedral.
"Seems the way is clear."
Shyael jumps from the roof elegantly.
“And since ancient ruins are your specialty, I think you should lead the way.”
She grabs some arrows from her quiver, and hands them to Aetherys.
"You might need these."
The Sarkorians grant the party two potions and two scrolls. The leader speaks.
"As eager as we are to enter the temple, we need to rest. Our souls are full of energy, but our bodies must rest. We won't be far behind you, strangers. May Laktharis lead your path."
As soon as you are ready for exploring the temple, I will post. Next scenes are in dungeon crawl mode... So you move yourselves along the map as soon as it is ready.

![]() |

Is there a link for the map? Aetherys will gladly lead, unless we have a trap spotter. What are the supplies they offered? Detect magic alongside a 29 Spellcraft (take 10) to identify might tell me something about their nature.
Before entering the ruins, Aetherys casts a spell to bolster her own morale. Nodding at her fellow Pathfinders, she leads them inside the ruins once they're ready.
She casts heroism on herself (extended with her ropd, lasts 180 minutes) as soon as everybody is ready to venture into the ruins.

Rhuul unfurls his flag showing a rune of the open road, and hefts his dwarven axe in the other. "Ready here. I'm happy to take any spot in the marching order. Though me legs be not the quickest in the group if truth be told."

![]() |

Anyone is welcome to pick any of the supplies, Aetherys can't use any of them except for the potions. If you can use them please take them, otherwise consumables like these tend to be forgotten (and thus, pretty much equivalent to lost).

![]() |

Kuraishimo will take the scroll of break enchantment and one of the potions.

![]() |

Rhuul takes the second spot in the marching order.
"This here will let me see and get me axe to work if there be problems. Though surely nothing will remain down there after being buried for so long."
The flag fluttering makes everyone feel a little bit better.
Flagbearer, +1 (morale) on to hit, damage and vs fear& charm. Pretty much like a continual bless but with an additional bonus vs charm.

![]() |

Bless doesn't grant a bonus to damage either, unless you have that famous dwarf trait. Thanks Rhuul!

Being awesome! All dwarves are awesome, but Rhuul is a little more so than normal. Just wait until he starts telling jokes.

![]() |

Sry for mot posting, i'm just bad at negotiations. I'm frontliner with 20ft. speed, so i'd like to take the second spot near Rhuul or before him in marching orfer.
"Lemme be in first ranks" snarled Oloch

![]() |

Assuming 10ft wide marching order, I think Oloch/Aetherys in the front rank with Mavaro in the second rank. This leaves Rhuul/Kuraishimo in the 3rd rank with Adowyn/Leryn holding the rear.
Any objections?

Aetherys has encountered this specific symbol once before, hence her reaction. Maybe her roll would allow her to recognize more of them?

This dapper robe enables a sorcerer to add the effects of her 1st level bloodline power to spells she casts. As a swift action before casting a spell, the wearer expends one use of her 1st-level bloodline power and selects one target of the spell to be affected by that bloodline power. If the spell allows a saving throw, a successful save against the spell means the bloodline power deals half damage (if it normally deals hit point damage) or is negated (if it does not). The robe can be used up to three times per day.
Ultimate Equipment
Kuraishimo has the Warped (Aberrant) bloodline which gives him the following power:

You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier.

GM, a few questions:
#1 Aetherys has initiative over the mimic, which means that she would act in round 1 before he does, right? A success on the Will save (which I believe I got) would negate the daze effect.
#2 I believe Gore is a piercing attack only, so my DR 5/bludgeoning from defending bone would apply, correct?
#3 Knowledge (dungeoneering), heroism: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18 Questions: What's its DR (if any)? What are its immunities?
To hasten things up in case answer to #1 is Yes and that she can act before being torn apart:

Tesi |

Aeth, you are not dazed, that's why you are in bold letters. I forgot about the bone, so you have 15hp + 19hp of Rhuul's heal, and you are also grappled because of some nasty adherent in the mimic's skin.

I'm also not quite following, here's how I see things.
Surprise round: mimic casts blasphemy.
Round 1: Aetherys wins initiative and saved vs the Daze. However you had the mimic go before him in round 1, which is causing the confusion, although Aerherys appears to be going properly in round 2 before it at least.

![]() |

Prior to Aetherys's turn Kuraishimo will cast liberating command on Aetherys.
Immediate action escape artist at an extra +16, means you won't have the swift to enhance the weapon, but probably worth trying to get loose, especially since you've got some escape artist to start with. If timing doesn't work out, feel free to take it after your turn instead.

![]() |

Escape Artist, heroism, grappled penalty: 1d20 + 13 + 2 - 2 + 16 ⇒ (19) + 13 + 2 - 2 + 16 = 48 Not sure if the Grappled penalty applies, but I added it anyway.
Aetherys attempts to free herself from her current sticky predicament. "Sarenrae be praised! Thank you Kuraishimo!"
This will eat the swift action to empower my blade, so no +4 keen blade for now. However, it may also change the course of my action, so there may be a retcon.
EDIT: If this isn't enough to break the grapple, my action remains the same as in my post above, minus the arcane pool point spent to empower my blade.
If this allows me to get free, please open the spoiler below to see what my retconned action is:

I'm taking things easy, sorry if my words come as offensive on the boards, it isn't my intention. I make mistakes too, both as a player and a GM, and I don't begrudge you for any of it, don't worry!
That being said, Aetherys escaped the grapple as an immediate action on Kuraishimo's turn thanks to liberating command, thus leaving her with her full round's worth of actions for round 2. In short, please disregard this post and only take into account that one, since the Escape Artist seems to have worked. The rolls in the spoiler include her full attack with the -2 penalty for spell combat (+6 BAB yields two attacks). One was a threat, hence the critical confirmation roll. Then there's the bladed dash attack (with +Int on the roll), since I'm casting that spell with Spell Combat (the basic Magus ability). If any of it is unclear, please let me know.
Oh, and by the way I forgot to take into account the Inspire Courage and Flagbearer, so please add +3 to all attack and damage rolls. I'm fine with forgoing those for this round though, since you also forgot constrict damage and all, and after all, well, I forgot them! ;)
I'll post my action for round 3 (before the mimic acts again) after everyone else has acted.

All makes sense, then. Remember you have -3 to strengh in case it is applied to anything (weight, damage, whatever).

Also, not sure if it changes anything, but Aetherys's Ref is +13 now thanks to heroism (the updated saves are in the header, the ones in the character sheet are the unbuffed saves).
I actually made a mistake too, since Flagbearer's bonus to attack rolls won't stack with heroism. Hence, Aetherys's attacks are:
#1 Nat 18 (threat), hitting AC 36 (15 damage), confirming on AC 30 (14 extra damage). Ref save successful, so weapon isn't glued to the mimic.
#2 Hitting AC 24 (15 damage). Ref save likely failed, so weapon is glued to the mimic.
#3 Never happened because of weapon's condition. Aetherys will cast her bladed dash anyway (enough retcons for one round, I think!) and move away, forgoing her extra attack.
By my math (and assuming the mimic has no DR (or a DR bypassed by Aetherys's scimitar, such as magic, silver, cold iron, or piercing) and has AC 24 or less, Aetherys inflicts 44 piercing damage. If it has AC 25 to 30, she only inflicts 29 damage.
TL;DR: You're absolutely right about the numbers! :)
For what it's worth, not only do I not hold any grudge for you, but you have my sympathies, since handling a fight like that is no small feat. I'm not sure I'd do it right either, tbh.
Round 3 action (will happen after everyone else has acted)
Aetherys, sensing a longing for her better half, conjures the blade to her hand! Empowering her blade, she then draws a wand of long arm.
