The room walls start to glow...
WILL SAVE Aeth: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32
WILL SAVE Baerlie: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21
WILL SAVE Kurai: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
WILL SAVE Mavaro: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30
WILL SAVE Oloch: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17
WILL SAVE Rhuul: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16
Baerlie, Oloch, Rhuul and Valais fall into a state of euphoria. They treat all creatures as dear friends and abhor violence, but may rise up to protect itself if violence is perpetrated against it. Until the end of the spell's duration (15 rounds), the creature's speed is halved, and it cannot make attacks or cast spells.
They start to hug each other, mumbling "I love you", "You are my brother", "You are one of my favourite pregens" and other beautiful things. Valais gives into the euphoria and doesn’t want to leave, dreaming of the days when her body was whole again. She speaks of her companions, long dead, and how they used to adventure together.

spellcraft: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Kuraishimo chuckles "Mavaro, help me hold the door just in case while they hug it out, I think things'll be back to normal shortly."
Rhuul Irontoe
|
Rhuul smiles shyly at Valais. "Ya know, I really do admire a woman what knows her way round ancient sites! One who doesn't mind takin a firm hand, if yeh be know'in what I mean."
Rhuul Irontoe
|
"Well..." says Rhuul.
"That could explain my previous misfortune with the Mimic..."
Rhuul Irontoe
|
"I remember getting caught with me hand in the honey jar. Now that was a sticky situation!" laughs Rhuul.
"I love my pa!" he bursts into tears as he hugs the closest available companion.

Since noone is doing nothing to stop this, 15 rounds later of love and friendship exaltation...
The lights in the room begin to change, waves of hatred and exhaustion raze your souls.
WILL SAVE Baerlie: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
WILL SAVE Oloch: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20
WILL SAVE Rhuul: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
Baerlie saves, Oloch and Rhuul do not.
The spell effects for waves of exhaustion and bestow curse, –6 decrease to Charisma score. Exhausted: An exhausted character moves at half speed, cannot run or charge, and takes a –6 penalty to Strength and Dexterity. After 1 hour of complete rest, an exhausted character becomes fatigued. A fatigued character becomes exhausted by doing something else that would normally cause fatigue.
The door in front of you opens now.

Rhuul feels considerably less funny. And tired. Man he looks grumpy.
"And don't even think about making a joke about Grumpy the dwarf. It just isn't funny."
I should point out that the flag that Rhuul is carrying would give a +1 bonus against these effects, but I doubt that is enough to help Oleg save.
Oloch //Pregen
|
"That was...strange. I think you are too weak. We have to rest a bit, so our party regain strength"
Kuraishimo
|
"I'm worried the room here will reest, what magics do we have available for the fatigue at least? I've got a single potion of lesser restoration. What do people have memorized or in wands? If we're short we might try a short rest and then use what we have to get people back in top form. There doesn't seem to be any time pressure but I'm worried about magic traps resetting."
Rhuul Irontoe
|
"The corridors I think would reset after a day or so. This room is likely the same. An hours rest from this test of patience would be good for this dwarfs soul."
He wiggles his eyebrows at Valais. But somehow it doesn't seem as funny as it did before.
Anyone got a remove curse for that Charisma loss? I'll put a bit of a dent in my spellcasting to put it lightly.
Oloch //Pregen
|
"Gorum predicted such troubles, so he gained me the power to regain strength twice i've readied 2 Lesser Restoration spells. I suggest resting and then using theese powers upon me and Rhull. And I'd like Rguul to drink your potion, Kurai. You hadn't strong even before this damn curse."as sorc you can continue fatigued (on;y -2 to str and dex, can you?
Kuraishimo
|
I can live with fatigued. I don't think we have remove curse though.
Rhuul Irontoe
|
Guess Rhuul will hang back even more and be a dedicated cheer leader. Need to get rid of exhausted condition but rest will do that. Oloch can hopefully remove the curse post scenario with remove curse or break enchantment.
Rhuul Irontoe
|
Actually Rhuul has not selected his new 3rd level spell for hitting 8th level as bard. With GM permission, I'm happy to select Remove Curse for that. Not often handy during an adventure, but then again not normally carried either, and kind of useful post scenario for removing nasty conditions.
Rhuul Irontoe
|
Rhuul tries to remove the curse on himself first
remove curse: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
remove curse: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Which hopefully is successful at least once. Can happily use in on Oleg post game to remove the condition on him then.
Rhuul Irontoe
|
"Well, that feels better. For a moment then I felt ... well.. they say the key to good humor is.."
He pauses for a moment.
"Remembering the punch line. How you feeling Oleg?"
Oleg, how important is CHA to you? I can try again, though it would appear without a huge chance of success, but it would mean giving up a haste.
Kuraishimo
|
Pretty much all, if not all references to cha were dropped from Warpriest between playtest and release. So I think our situation is we are waiting an hour, and then removing fatigue on 3 of us, and removing the curse from Rhuul.
Rhuul Irontoe
|
Skip doing the extra remove curse then, and we can do it post scenario. Or he could probably do it himself post scenario.
Rhuul Irontoe
|
Rhuul, having experienced most of this particular dungeons traps and terrors first hand, shows little initiative in being the first to the doorway.
"Ladies first?" he asks hopefully.

I made a mistake before, the stone you found there is an incandescent blue sphere ioun stone (I read the sub tier 5-6 instead of 8-9, apologies).
The corridor bents right, towards some impressive double doors.
Crafted of iron and bone, the massive doors block the way west. A mural of human and animal bones on the walls depicts humans and woodland creatures in a forest. On the left side of the door, humans kneel before a massive tree. Between them is a thumbsized hole. On the right side of the door, a man slits his own throat, blood pooling on the trunk of the tree. In the carving of the bloody pool is another thumb-sized hole.
As the group approaches the door, Valais says,
“We’re so close now. We need to find a way to open this door. TOUCH THIS DOOR AND I WILL TEAR YOU TO PIECES.”
Valais screams in pain, her arm touches the parts of her body in contact with Kalavakus parts.
Move yourselves towards the door, if you are so kind.
Oloch //Pregen
|
"I don't think it is a good idea to touch this door as demonic part of the girl says..Let's investigate it and prepare ourselves.
If Kurai's circle against evil isn't still active (we w8ied for an hour), Oloch casts his circle against evil.
Oloch also has detect demons active (about 7 minutes left), he concentrates to see any demon auras past the door
"I'll ask Gorum to bless us just right before entering this room" Ready action to cast bless when the door opens
Kuraishimo

My circle is good for 80 minutes, should still be up at this point.
Kuraishimo

Kuraishimo will refresh his mirror image and then haste right before we open the door.
images: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Kuraishimo ponders out loud "What do you think the odds of the missing stone being at the end of the other passage are?"
Rhuul Irontoe
|
Rhuul nods. "Then back we go. Hi Ho!"
He grins sheepishly. "Dwarf humour."
Heads back he adds "At least those blades should be gone by now!"
Rhuul does check for magic in the various passages before entering them.
Rhuul Irontoe

Oopse missed the map
"Oh, the corridor goes forward as well. Well, onward, ever onward. I'm guessing we can expect some type of physical challenge in that other room, as the spell leading up to it was certainly a physical threat."
Rhuul Irontoe
|
Rhuul peers past his colleages at the doorway. Once again he checks it for signs of magic.
perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21
And casts detect magic

[b]"Are you ready?"[b] Asks Oloch letting his hand at the door.
If noone protests, he opens the door.

The walls of the chamber are smooth black marble; a fist-sized black stone set in a niche in the eastern wall seems to absorb light. A small crystal shard glows with an eerie purple light at the apex of the angled ceiling. Shades of faint movement skitter across the far wall.
There are some words written repeatedly on the floor in scratched Hallit in random places throughout the room.
Oloch //Pregen
|
"Rhuul, what is written here? We need that crystall, can anyone use some sort of magic to take it without entering the room?"
Rhuul Irontoe
|
Rhuul quickly checks for magic in the room, and then if there is nothing obvious, looks at the words in Hallit.
"Think me spell is about to run out, but should be time to read this lot." he comments.
