song doesn't particularly "fit" into something, which is why I would say that's not it.

I am also assuming no in-game shenanigans will circumvent these riddles. (IE, bluff, SM, etc)

I find that one pretty open ended. Obvious to the riddler is not obvious to the riddley.

riddlee, riddlie.... none of them look right. lol. But yes, its a very open ended riddle in my mind with several answers capable of being "right".

much like the old "I run, but never walk" line. River, OR Fence can work there. But if you add "I never move, yet cover large distance" then suddenly Fence is the correct one, as river waters do move.

as an aside, while I want to vote for air, I feel it is wrong, so instead say.... sound. I think the answer is sound. Specifically since we are dealing with what is apparently the "tongue" story-kin.

argument: Sounds fits in your mouth, as it originates from it. It then can easily fill a room. It also encompasses several things, such as song.

judging from our vote, it seems we will each have to give our own answers though :3

I'll go back to the same "different amounts make a difference" point. A light cantrip can only fill up a mouth, but it can also fill up a room, and it's the exact same thing.

I'm just stoked to see the full power of performance - my only experience with bards is the guy that took one level of it on his wizard last game and would maybe remember sometimes that he had Inspire Courage.

But yeah, I think even just focusing on the token would be fine. The rest of us can bust Kio out, although getting Mr. Mad Tea Party to let him out peacefully would be nice, too.

UNLOCKED! Harrow Tattoos

Each of the 54 cards in a Harrow Deck is linked to an element within the Harrowed Realm, be it a location, a creature, or an event. If the players correctly identify an associations during the adventure, they will receive a boon. If the boon directly effects the players, I will let them know what it is. If the boon directly effects a creature, the players will not be told the penalties(ie -2 to hit and AC to affected creatures). I will try however to describe the effect if such affect is describable. (The Raven clowns appear to be more clumsy).

The players will know if they select the correct tattoo when the card glows green. If they choose incorrectly, the card will glow red.

From now on, I will not be keying the players when they should use the cards. They are going to have to pick-up the clues by the descriptions of the events before them and see if it matches the image on the card. Some of the images are easy to correlate, others can be more difficult. The card also has to be selected at the right time. For example, if a Pathfinder selected the Rakshasa while in the Prophet's Garden, he would have chosen incorrectly.

It takes a Move Action to activate a tattoo on yourself and a Standard Action to activate another PCs tattoo.

I hope this is comprehensive. If there are any questions as to how these mechanics work, please let me know.

Yah, it even gets crazier at higher level. I played a 2 weapon melee rogue in Living Grayhawk up to level 15. I would frequently play with a buffing wizard and cleric, so I just had a wet board to keep tally of all the bonuses.

HeroLab is a God send for the giantslayer I'm playing in RotRL online. Not only with all the buffs & conditions but then rage condition effecting the character.

Is it sad that I'm so dependent on a digital assistance for a pen and paper game? =v)

I will say that when I play in person, if I'm playing a caster, I try to stick with buffing instead of de-buffs. I just hate to annoy the DM all the time, and they get saves to boot too.

Unless its Feeblemind, which recently just ends combats.

She has preternatural senses of some sort? Blindsight? Echolocation? She seems to have all the benefits of blindness, none of the penalties. I don't think my character would be smart enough to figure out what, but maybe someones character could.

Also, are there any other variant rules other then called shots in play we should be aware of?

Not other variant rules that I would use that I haven't listed already in Discussion such as Harrow Deck tattoos. To be honest, outside of Called Shots, I'm not well versed in the other variant rules.

Thanks, I think I'll just rerwork him. Since we won't be leveling much, if at all. If I stay with the original idea it will cost most of my other feats.

Also, it likely has a sort of blindsight or such. So just staying away of anything that relies on 'mundane vision' would be out, and staying away from things that require 'sight' would be safe. Though blindsight can be fooled easily as normal sight by illusions or the like.

Challenge is fun! I wish I was rolling a little better, obviously, but I like how the campaign is going so far.

To be honest, I never brought up Called Shots. I apologize if people thought I sprung them on the game. I won't do them any more and I can redact the previous action, if you wish. But in my option, I would leave the last set of actions as is, otherwise Tariel will take more damage.
