New level changes
+1 fighter level (because Silvio is a fighter, on top of being a lover)
+6 hp (i'm taking the average) from class + 2 from con = +8 hit points = 36 hit points total
Stat increase goes to +1 intelligence (because i need combat expertise)
Fighter bonus feat goes into combat expertise (Silvio has learned to read his opponent better)
Skills (favored class bonus goes into this):
+1 acrobatics (Silvio has added some theatrics into his combat style)
+1 Bluff (because facts should never come between a good story)
+1 Diplomacy (because Silvio makes friends wherever he goes)
+1 Intimidate (because Silvio's swordplay is impressive and daunting!)
+1 Stealth (because Silvio's extravagant persona has been able to keep a low profile when scouting)

That's it, me thinks.

I don't know the WBL standards but i think Silvio is below it. According to Herolab he has 25gp in hand and gear worth 126 gp.

Agreed, but I think you're clearly below WBL a bit: You should have about 6,000 gp at 4th level. I'll try to jack the loot up a touch. Plus, it's always more fun to have a roaring rapier instead of just a standard +1 rapier.

You've got the failed save results now. You can count the mutants as "savage," which should work.

However, at the risk of spoilers, I don't recall how much more they come up over the course of the Path. I don't think it's a lot though; I just don't want you to waste a class feature, though you can take it despite that if you want, obviously.

Re: using Acrobatics to move through difficult terrain, there's nothing that I can see that says explicitly either that you can or that you can't - what it does say is that You can also dive, flip, jump, and roll to avoid attacks and overcome obstacles. My interpretation of that would be that you can use it to move through difficult terrain, but I'm happy to accept a decision either way.

Re: healing, let me know what you guys prefer. I don't want to be a hardass, or accidentally kill any of your characters (I'm a big believer that an epic fight ends with five PCs unconscious with the last one at 1 hp when he finishes off the foe, with no PC deaths -- see my Kingmaker game for a great example). Obviously PBP is a different medium than face-to-face, and Zstelian never actually said he was going in yet.

His previous post could easily have been interpreted as talking tactics with me moving ahead because of the next posts.

Sounds like Sekathral and Kyson are still outside looting corpses/protecting converts, at least for this first fight.

Dargon, Zstelian, Silvio and Khazmia are inside.

I'll adjudicate Round 1 tomorrow, so speak up if there's an issue with this arrangement.

Point 2: Site went down but for a change I had the latest version of what I'd finished so far copied and pasted in an email, so I didn't lose it! Ha!

Point 4: This is actually the first time I think I've ever used a rust monster as a GM. I feel like that should be a landmark.

I plan to update later tonight, but not sure what my posting status will be for the next week or so. I was originally supposed to go on vacation to D.C. Monday through Wednesday, which might have limited my posting (though I'd probably still be able to check in at least once a day). Now that trip is up in the air thanks to Stormageddon: The Rainening.

Anyway, if I'm home I may have lots of free time to post. Unless I lose power, in which case I won't be posting at all.

Re: Zstelian's question, you have not leveled yet. Seems a little too fast, so I might add in a little surprise or two between books.

I generally didn't list treasure that belonged to the Vanderborens, since you indicated you wouldn't take it, so I think everything but the few items from the room where Kaskus was found (i.e. the boots and glowing dagger) is technically loot from the invaders, and thus yours for the taking. You could probably ask Lavinia about those last items, though.

Appreciate you cataloguing the swag, Kyson.

I do have the +1 leather armour and the thundering rapier - I'll certainly keep the thundering rapier, but I'd rather have the +1 studded leather than the +1 leather I have. And the skeletal leotard.

I'm more than willing to give up the +1 keen dagger - however, I would very much like the boots of striding & springing, unless we're giving them (and the dagger) back to Lavinia.

I also think we should keep the wand of CLW and the 4 potions of CMW, as a sort of party reserve of healing items.
