Gellumniq Clockwerk |
"Maybe we should chase him down then?"
Gell busies himself examining the new chamber with the statue.

Teraldan |
As the others move into the room, Teraldan follows, wanting to make sure he can offer his protection if needed - "From what we have heard, the Bell is intimately related to the church of Chardastes, so perhaps we can find clues here - this room seems too... Empty"
He decides to aid Ni-CU checking the statue.

GM Tribute |
The group moves into the area around the statue. Before Quill can shout a warning, a gout of flame shoots out the hand of the statue.
A maniacal laughter echoes through the walls.
Reflex DC 13 for half of this for Teraldan, Mungo and Ni Cu: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 1) = 5
Those failing first save and failing a subsequent Ref DC 13 take: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Nothing further is found in the room after a five minute search. You proceed to the next room, and Quill points out a pit traps and disarms it with a long pole with hook on the end in a nail biting ten minute operation. "Sometimes I can notice things from the back." the rogues says with a jaunty salute.
You arrive at another room with a yellowish statue of a horse. Once again, after careful examination, Quill gets out his pole and topples the statue. It falls discharging a shock through the ground making Quill's hair stand up, but no other permanent damage. Quill announces: "I want a raise. Who is holding that ring I said I could use? I am quite familiar with all manners of magic devices. I am an elf for Corellon's Sake!! Or I could use that magic, glowing sword, I am an elf for Corellon's Sake!!"
You come upon another room of the winding corridor that appears empty......having discovered treasure and traps, you consider moving on. Quill pronounces this area clear of traps.

Reflex DC 13: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Ouch!
Reflex DC 13: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Double ouch!
Nee is burnt badly by he statue, and her dark eyes flash even darker at the Quill's histrionics.
"If you are so fabulous, how come you didn't stop he flame? And who says elves and magic rings have some uncommon desire to bond? Corellon? Doesn't exist"
Ceweldyn |
Now, let's not turn on one another," Ceweldyn states. "There is plenty of room for Corellon and whatever other deity you wish to acknowledge to co-exist. As for you, Quill, I, too, am an elf. Though if he is to continue being in the front, then perhaps he should be permitted to use the ring."
Gellumniq Clockwerk |
"This ring ain't goin' nowhere." Gellumniq flips his lucky crona into the air, deliberately using the hand where the Ring of Spell Storing is worn to emphasize its current custodian. "The magic held in here wouldn't help against fire, or anything else on the front line. If yeah come up with a better reason than magic rings are my thing then maybe we'll talk. If not, the matter is closed. The sword is also spoken for, at least for now. We're a team right? Let's act like one." The normally cheerful gnome is growing agitated at this Quill character, and he felt it was past time to remain passive and silent on the subject. Though he knew little about him, he was rubbing Gell the wrong way.
Diplomacy at Quill: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Gell wants to attempt diplomacy here. Stiff diplomacy, but an attempt nonetheless.
Niamhaiofe Cu |
"You dodged the question, and made out I insulted your heritage. I guess one out of three ain't bad." returns the warrior, not taking the Quill's comments at all well. She thinks for a moment, and passes hand across her brow.
"Ceweldyn is right. And Gell. Let us act as a group or we fall apart."
Aid Another - Diplomacy: 1d20 ⇒ 3
Fair enough!

We had four posters since Wednesay
REF Teraldan: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
The Halfling knight easily dodges the spray of fire.
Quill grumbles about the split of the treasure to himself, staying in the back as you approach the empty room. You consider going in or leaving the empty room to explore the next chamber farther down the hall.
Quill seems to be taking notes as you walk along.
Gellumniq Clockwerk |
With nothing more apparent or prudent, Gellumniq follows Mungo into the next chamber, helping in the search.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Teraldan |
Teraldan listens to the discussion with a stern look on his face - as they move towards the room, he follows Mungo closely, but before he does, and while passing by Quill, he hands him the sword - "Here it is - if you feel it will be put to good use in your hands, take it. Make sure to use it whenever we need you to" - with a nod he moves away, and after the halfling ranger.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
GM Tribute |
Quill smiles at the gift and bows to the Halfling, he hands him a necklace of fine silver in return. "Prying treasures from the hands of the greedy can only be done on death it is said. You are truly one of honour."
The room appears empty after a careful search and the party continues. As you walk by, you come to what appears to be a room with an open ceiling.
The corridor widens here to form a room about 20 feet square. The corridor continues off to the west. A huge, black lizard-like creature with wings is bent down in the corner. It has an iron collar around its neck and it is chained to the wall. There are several large sacks in the northwest corner. You see something that you do not see every day, and probably not even once in a lifetime.
Mounting the huge, black lizard in what appears to be new light and tightly woven coat of silver and back mail and wearing an open faced helm that seems to barely fit is the troglodyte Bogo. He has what appears to be stirrups and boots he is locking into place in the silver saddle on the creature. He gives you a casual wave as he seems to be making adjustments in his saddle. The coiled, winged serpent seems to be blinking his eyes after what appears to be a long slumber. It is slowly dawning on the creature that there is a humanoid on his back.
Held in a sheath by Bogo's left side is what appears to be a slender lance. As you look closer, Bogo gives you a shrug and then waves you past the opening with what appears to be shooing gesture.
Ceweldyn |
Ceweldyn stifles a laugh at the almost comical sight. "What ho, Bogo," he says at last. "You will be taking your leave of us then?"
Gellumniq Clockwerk |
Unable to compute all of the sights before him, Gellumniq ignores the shooing. "Bogo? What the... is that a...dragon? Nice armor, by the way!"
Readying an action to unleash a lightning bolt if Bogo and/or his pet attack us.
GM Tribute |
The opportunity to run past the drowsy dragon passes and the group remains. The dragon comes fully awake and stares at those that have come to see him.
You feel an urge to come forward to worship the magnificent creature. The compulsion is quite strong.
Bogo shrugs and removes and examines the long slender lance made of a translucent crystal.
Broldun Rockspike |
The dwarf grabs the gnome by the arm and pulls him out of the apparent path of Bogo and the dragon, keeping his shield between him and the dragon. "I dinnae think ye are thinkin' straight if yer goin' ta face off against that lot!'
Gellumniq Clockwerk |
Gulp... In silent agreement Gellumniq allows Broldun to lead him along. Unsure of what happens next, he awaits the next few moments cautiously.
Teraldan |
I admit I am completely confused about the situation :D
Teraldan draws his bow, and prepares for aggressive action - "Stand at attention friends, I have no idea what to expect of this, but I agree with Broldun - keep moving" - he pipes in, waiting to see if everyone moves away, and following them.
