A look of panic crosses the dark stalker's face, "She is our leader, one of the callers." he gulps, "We were told to be on the lookout for the city watch, to make sure they found the evidence of the Pathfinders' misdeeds." he goes quiet for a moment. The dark folk eyes the slight scorch mark on the floor under Vrald's feet. "We tried to get her to stop, but Zodarna is determined to pay the Society back for Skeldon Miregold's betrayal of the dark folk."

GM OfAnything |

"I... I don't want Fomalhaut to be destroyed." he takes a breath, steadying himself, "I can stop my shadow from attacking you, but I do not wish to risk Zodarna's wrath to stay and fight. Will that be enough?"

"My friend healed you, when we could have slain you with ease. Even now, if that was our intent, it would be easy. But that is not what we seek. Consider that, and when we return, . . . if we survive this, we can speak more of this other road, my friend."

Back from traveling. Thanks for your patience, folks. Let's finish this out strong!
The dark folk agrees to your terms and follows nervously behind the group. Garinol leads the way down the stairs into a basement.
The preponderance of cobwebs and dust in the stairwell imply that it was decommissioned years ago, yet a series of footprints in the dust indicates that someone used it recently. A field of rusty spikes pokes up from the floor at the base of the steps. Garinol determines that this is a triggered mechanical trap that was never reset. Several of the spikes, the ceiling above the spike field, and the stone walls next to the trap are covered in thick soot. It appears as though some type of explosion occurred on top of the spikes. Three small storage spaces stand open and bare at the bottom of the stairs. A single door to the north stands closed.

Post your preparations, then we'll open the door.

Shelves line the perimeter of this stone chamber, bearing rawhide dolls, alien figurines, and other strange curios. For every dust-covered relic, another two spaces lie vacant. A dingy pipe organ stands against the west wall, and several barrels and crates are pushed off to the periphery. Most show signs of having been forced opened and appear empty. Oh no. As the veil lifts, Zahra suddenly sees that the person that she ordered Pumpkin to grapple was not an enemy caster but a bound and gagged prisoner, and the very woman they were sent to rescue: Olivina Sharnau.
She does not recognize the Norborger mask, but when Omar names them, she remembers the foul reputation of that cult. Deceivers all. The whole mean plot comes to her in a flash: bring them to their very own lodge, and have them kill and slay the beloved songbird of Karcau.
Her face heats up and she feels a dual sort of rage. As a member of the Grand Lodge, as a Shelynite, she is FURIOUS. "You've set us up! You've used illusions and trickery to glamour Olivina so that ve vould kill the very person ve meant to rescue. Vell, no more!"
Zahra is steps into the room to get a better view of the vicious beast now dripping in chains. She casts glitterdust on both the Kyton and the darkfolk cleric.
