Searok has been leveled. Please let me know any feedback and/or if he is accepted.

Searok looks good as well.

Sorry for the delay I'm still working on my character but at least created a shell for him.

Decided to play a sorcerer will fill in details tomorrow so we are ready to go on Wednesday.

Summoning magics are fun. I am so excited for this game not to die.

Ready minus my backstory.

Makall looks good.

Considering the best way to introduce you guys. Maybe just have Zellara call you like she did the others, unless you want something a little more organic.

Your the GM, so what ever way you think will work is ok with me....

A possibility is that we all are find Gaedren dead as we search for him, arriving at the same time as the main group tells the guards, and we all meet at that time.

(however, I am rather drunk right now, lots of single malt scotch, so if that does not work, any you come with is cool also.)

Male Dwarf Barbarian (Invulnerable Rager) 15 (HP 229/229 AC:30 T:16 F:29 Saves F:+20 R:+11 W:+9 CMB:+21 CMD:37 Init:+1 Perc: +18 Intimidate +24)

It sounds like the group is currently at Zellara's, so yeah, she could have summoned us as well to set the stage for the next task.

I'm good with whatever you choose. Makall is a former addict who miraculously beat his addiction to shivers. Since beating becoming clean he has been going around the section frequented by shiver addicts and administering care when he can. Hearing of Gaedren's death would (if people already know) make him seek out those that accomplished this.

Searok would be in the same position. As someone who also wanted to see Gaedren dead, he too would want to seek out the doers of the deed - either to shake their hands or punch them in the mouth for beating him to the task! ;)

That sounds like it may be easiest. Since they are there now, you can just turn up and post in the gameplay thread.

Female Halfling Whipmistress 15 (AC: 37 (*+2 Light Fort) (*+1 Haste) [T: 15 FF: 35] CMD 26 (+4 vs disarm/trip) | HP: 152/153(0NL) | F+18*, R+13*, W+18* | Init: +3 |Perc: +6)

Whoa! Reinforcements!

Calistria provides!

I go to sleep and the thread blows up, excellent!

Take more naps !

I wish but then I would never get anything done.

heh.... In 13 days I will be 70 years old. I take LOTS of naps....

I knew Emma was in Girad's (David's) Rise of the Runelords game, but I just saw that Shaeda is also in his Legendary Planet game. Wow! Small world! I am glad to be playing with you both in another campaign.

Female Halfling Whipmistress 15 (AC: 37 (*+2 Light Fort) (*+1 Haste) [T: 15 FF: 35] CMD 26 (+4 vs disarm/trip) | HP: 152/153(0NL) | F+18*, R+13*, W+18* | Init: +3 |Perc: +6)

Indeed! Great to see you Kit!

You guys are 12th level in a Wrath of the Righteous game! Wow!

It's funny, in the Planet game, its you and me Kit welcoming newcomers at the same time.

The pirate talk had me laughing rather loudly while everyone is sleeping. Sleep that thing I should be doing.

I suppose karma means that I am going to be hazed like I hazed the newbies in LP!

Female Halfling Whipmistress 15 (AC: 37 (*+2 Light Fort) (*+1 Haste) [T: 15 FF: 35] CMD 26 (+4 vs disarm/trip) | HP: 152/153(0NL) | F+18*, R+13*, W+18* | Init: +3 |Perc: +6)

Shaeda is a very different person from Iskender. Hmm, no, maybe she's not.

You invited the hazing I will have you know! Such a temperamental dwarf :D

Female Halfling Whipmistress 15 (AC: 37 (*+2 Light Fort) (*+1 Haste) [T: 15 FF: 35] CMD 26 (+4 vs disarm/trip) | HP: 152/153(0NL) | F+18*, R+13*, W+18* | Init: +3 |Perc: +6)

For the newcomers... I promise to throw some piratey nautical speak in for Shaeda as often as I can, but doing so can be exhausting at times, so please just assume she is always using that pirate brogue, even when I fail to properly type it in.

Talking like a pirate is challenging.

Have you tried "Pirate" as your chosen language on Facebook?

Emma Holt wrote:

That's why we only do it one day a year.

Argh!

Sure, understand. I don't see how you (or Searok) speak "in character" so much. It is difficult for me to do, is why I play characters that do not have specific speech patterns. Also as DM it is difficult with so many differing characters in the adventures.....

It is not for everyone. You want something that will blow your mind and make you laugh? Watch Critical Role. Those are dedicated people to their speech patterns.

I have seen people in PbP use all sorts of ways of talking. I am in a game with a guy who has a heavy French accent. Then there was the dwarf with a thick undercommon accent, I thick he made it kind of Scottish..

All dwarves are Scottish!

Back in my Living Greyhawk days, I played a Half Orc (he preferred the term "horc" as he wasn't half anything, he was fully who he was) who spoke in a very deep gruff voice, with a tinge of a Japanese accent to it. At least when he was speaking in Common. Whenever he switched to speaking Orcish, I would switch to using a high tea sounding British accent. What was great, was that the folks I gamed with got into it, and whenever they spoke in Orcish, they would switch to the brutish sounding accents.

Yes! Fight the stereotype!... Also why am I in charge? This has never happened to be before.

Because you actually believe this silly business about magic fortune cards and such!

Girard, I look forward to watching your Oradin develop. I played one to 8th level. They can totally rock combat and healing at the same time. Great stuff!

We head out tomorrow morning to a state park for a family reunion for a week. I expect it to be virtually impossible to find the internet while I am gone.

Have fun!

Enjoy your trip.

So, the Harrowing that Zellara performed gives you something called Harrow Points, which can be spent as a free action to gain a boost, and the boost changes with each chapter. Three Keys cars, the suit representing this chapter, appeared in the spread, so our three new characters each have three Harrow Points to spend. At the beginning of each chapter, we can do a new Harrowing.

Effects of Harrow Points this chapter:

Dexterity Rerolls: A PC can spend a Harrow Point to
reroll an initiative check, Reflex save, attack roll modified
by Dexterity, or Dexterity-based check. The PC must abide
by the new result (although if he has additional Harrow
Points, he can use them for additional rerolls).

Dodge Bonus: A PC can spend a Harrow Point to gain a
+1 dodge bonus to his Armor Class for one encounter. He
can spend up to 3 Harrow Points per encounter to increase
his Armor Class in this manner.

Speed Increase: A PC can spend a Harrow Point to
increase his base speed by 10 feet for one encounter.

In Addition: The card you chose from Zellara has a special effect in a specific encounter during this chapter that will affect only you. I won't tell you what these are in advance, to avoid spoilers, but when the encounter starts I'll tell you what your extra bonus is.

Yes, they carry over.

Congratulations! And don't worry about it.
