GM Crunch's We Be Goblins Free! (Inactive)

Game Master Saving Cap'n Crunch

Sovereign Court

On a whim (and because someone expressed interest), I am going to run my hands-down favorite portion of the We Be Goblins series, We Be Goblins Free! One spot will be reserved for I'm Hiding In Your Closet, provided they are still interested. If you express interest here, please also state your preference of goblin - I'll let you guys talk/duke it out if there are conflicts therein.

I'd love to play. I've only played the first scenario, but loved it.

No preference on character. I'd be fine with random assignment.

Interested in Chuffy Lickwound.

I have not played any of the We Be Goblins series (or characters), so I would be up for any of them.

Scarab Sages

"Gratitudes! Gratefuls!"
- Nordom

I'm partial to Mogmurch.

Sovereign Court

Yeah, I have always liked Mogmurch too. He is particularly fun in this one, as is Poog. And that is one closed recruitment thread!

I'm interested have not played the we be goblins yet so don't care who open to anything.

If there are any Squirrels in this game, I want a piece of them Pinky!

Liberty's Edge

I would like to play, it don't matter to me who I play, if chosen.

I would like to play. I will play any goblin. I have no preference.

Sovereign Court

Sorry, guys, but we're already full. The We Be Goblins adventures roll with four players. Perhaps you'd like to play it Core? I can do a second table.

Liberty's Edge

I'm game

"Cants I play iconik KORE fiter Reta, pleez?"

I would love to play. Whomever you need me to run is fine.

Technically, I think you can run it with 6 (or even a last resort 7) like a any other module, the only issue being that you have to run some of the same goblins twice. You just have to file off the serial numbers. Just change their names, coloration, genders, motivations or what have you--there's nothing wrong with two Valeros's at the table if one of them is his teatotaling, health-nut sister, and friendly rival, Valerie--or don't. Which one is the real Mogmurch and which is the weird, alchemical clone that emerged from the smoke cloud with him after that last explosion? Are either of them the original? Or you can use the quasi-official "additional pregens" Created by Jason Bulmahn with layout and songs by Michael Azzolino: Buggy Bugeye and Stumpbiter. Both only appear in first-level form, and so are only good for the original We be Goblins! (Original source).

"WANNA PLAY KORE!!"

Sovereign Court

That is true, but I feel it also makes the scenario a whole lot easier, to the point of being too much so. That seems like a better option for F2F tables, as there is (likely) only one person currently prepared to run the adventure, and can't GM two tables at once. Here on the forums, though, I think splitting into two tables is a better solution because I can do just that.

Liberty's Edge

Since it is an evergreen have you thought if just running 2 standard tables?

Sovereign Court

We Be Goblins Too and Free aren't actually evergreen scenarios. Only the original and We B4 Goblins are.

Liberty's Edge

I see. Running the two then makes more sense.

Sovereign Court

Look as if we have at least three people, so we are doing this! GM Deekan, Thakmaka, and Lucas Holland, would any of you like to be our fourth player? If more than one of you is interested, I'll pop a quick lottery. If not, I can pick someone up from the Flaxseed Lodge or something.

Sovereign Court

Just to keep things moving along, I'm going to the Lodge to get a fourth person for the Core table, and a potential fourth for the standard one. One unfortunate downside of these threads is that when you've only posted in the Recruitment tab, it doesn't show up in your campaigns, so you might forget about it. Rather than PM all three potential players for one slot and go through the headache therein, I'll just do it this way.

In the meantime, any place I can go to get Reta's (or whomever's) updated stats?

Liberty's Edge

This is run at which level?

Sovereign Court

It is applied to level 3-5 characters. No one from the Lodge has expressed interest in the Core game yet, so I'm going to try Plan B and PM the three players who thought about it here. As discussed, they may have forgotten.

Liberty's Edge
