Whoops, sorry about that missed Fort. I believe I was under the wrong impression that I can't take AoO while prone. Have read up and Will post both AoO now.

Brayne prone attack hits, and when the tripurasura tries to stand again Brayne's bite pierces into the creature's skull, it goes limp. What was once an unstoppable menace, bent on the party's destruction, is at least defeated.

When Karan is slain, a howl of anguish fills the room, emanating from behind the wall and the ominous bulging of the wall ceases.

DC 21 Knowledge (arcana):

The glyphs here act as a variant of the binding spell.

DC 25 Knowledge (history):

The glyphs bear characteristics of the work of Old Mage Jatembe and his Ten Magic Warriors.

Purpurrup comments I'll have to replace the totems; we gripplis erected them to amplify the binding glyphs and to focus our fiendkeeping
powers.

If we have time for Garduk to flip through the Pathfinder Chronicle he bought for Knowledge (Arcana) for Skim Chronicle: 1d4 ⇒ 1 rounds, Garduk gets another +2 bonus to the check, which would bring him to 21.

Knowledge (History): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15

Garduk searches the tiny fiend for the wand she was using (and anything else).

Garduk is absolutely up for one more task (as long as it doesn’t require him to roll above a 7)!

Brayne collapses immediately after, as the fight leaves him exhausted. His body shrinks down to his former self. After a minute or two, he comes back to his senses, and picks himself up gasping for air. *Wheezing*

After coming to and catching up on present events, he, perhaps reluctantly, agrees with performing the task, in hopes it will give its due rewards, if not in monetary gains, at least in knowledge of the arcane arts. "Well.. I suppose since we're already here.. So what does this activity endeavour?" He asks nonchalantly.

The only thing of note on Karan is the wand of magic missile (CL 3rd, 23 charges).

Purpurrup responds, Oh, thank you. If we can just set them back up, I'll need some of my tribesmen to reactivate the wards. But this will be a start.

Meanwhile, in the background Brayne and Garduk notice an expectant Akmon with the Sight of the Cyclops.

Akmon's last task was actually, what I was poorly hinting at.

Garduk pumps his fist in triumph when he finds the wand, then pretends he was just stretching. He shows the find to the others, then realizes the vision of Akmon hasn't faded with the elimination of the immediate threat.

"We still need to clean up the debris in the next room and on the stairs to lay your civilization's spirits to rest and satisfy your gods, right?"

Brayne pretends he doesn't notice Garduk's awkward victory celebration.

"Ah yes, but of course, the debris need cleaning."Brayne sighs, and pulls himself to the room to start doing some heavy lifting.

Garduk casts unseen servant from his scroll so that he and Brayne will have some help cleaning up the wreckage of the ancient statues and carvings of the Cyclopes deities. Periodically, he checks with Akmon to make sure that they are doing the job well enough to appease the sun and the moon.

Perhaps BokkahBot can work with Kulga and Purpurrup to reset the wards?

Once Garduk and Brayne start working, Marty helps move some of the larger pieces of the wreckage for the first minute before returning home.

Cleaning the hall fully takes an hour, once you are done. Akmon once again appears before you, but he is on his knees, restrained by two cyclopes with cruel expressions.

My death has come, small ones, he says, but my knowledge will live on in you. Thank you for all you have done! He screams as a mallet is brought down on his head, and the vision fades as other cyclopes pour in to join in the assault. After this vision, Brayne and Garduk notice their sight becomes less blurry, although they can still see echoes of the past.

With Karan dead, the immediate threat of Parveen’s escape is delayed indefinitely. Purpurrup seems worried about the state of the binding glyphs, but is encouraged when you all emerge from the Blighted Temple, you find that grippli scouts from other tribes have come to check on Kaddodi, having met with gripplis who fled the city as the Hazh’a halflings began their raid. The scouts assure you that Kaddodi will be resettled by a larger force of gripplis than it once had, and suggest that Purpurrup continue her training and soon become Kaddodi’s lead fiend-binder. Purpurrup is grateful for any praise heaped upon her, but still bears some unease.

I couldn't have stopped Karan without the Pathfinders, had they not come along Parveen would be free once more! I don't think it was a coincidence they came her this day. She muses.

Somehow you realize (perhaps you have another drink); that the Sight of the Cyclops cannot be granted again to anyone else. Akmon's unquiet spirit powered the ritual binding Kaddodi to the Sargava Chalice, and those drinking from it now get nothing more than a mouthful of water.

You make your way back to the Venture Captain Bellaugh who listens on eagerly to your report and is grateful for the lore successfully uncovered; although he is a little disappointed that the Chalice will no longer bring visions of the past, he's overjoyed the Pathfinder Society are the ones that learned it's secrets.
