You can try to get it to come with you,

You can look farther for the thing's parents (you've discovered that it's not one of the obvious bodies on the beach, but there's lots more places that corpses can be),

Or you can attack and destroy it!

It has several people asleep under its thrall, people who won't wake until the thing releases them or until it is destroyed.

Okay, everyone - for the accomplishment of surviving to reach First Landing and rescuing some people, go ahead and level up to level 4.

Post the gains of your level-up here in Discussion.

You can have about as much downtime as you like here now, so decide if you'd like time to rest, or craft, or do whatever.

Also, you can do things like make Gather Information checks to find out problems that the settlement faces. When you're all ready, I'd like a majority vote on what you're planning to do next, whether it be find Baldric, escort Yosiah back home, or solve one of the settlement's problems.

For downtime, I would like to craft some alchemical items. After that, Murob wants to help the settlement and rescue as many of the shipwreck survivors as they can.

You are right, Murob. I have removed the weapons/armor portions from ABP, because I don't really like how it affects pricing, given that weapons also frequently have special abilities.

Can you post your comprehensive level's gains? I know you get 6 health and a BAB increase, and a Will save increase, but what skills did you invest in?

And actually, Yosiah - due to fractional advancement, your base saves should be something like this right now:

Fort: 3.83, Ref: 1.66, Will: 4

Which should make your total saves:

Fort +6 (3 base, 2 Con, 1 resistance), Ref +5 (1 base, 3 Dex, 1 resistance), Will +7 (4 base, 2 Wis, 1 resistance)

The reason is that you have 3 and 1/2 Fort and Will saves from Warpriest levels, and 1/3 Ref saves from Warpriest as well, and 1/3 Fort and Ref saves from Expert, and 1/2 Will saves from Expert as well.

It's certainly possible that the parents of the attic whisperer are with the gillmen, though that isn't guaranteed. You're just not sure where the parents are. All you know is that the girl who turned into the whisperer died during the storm after her parents abandoned her.

Murob assumes that the parents are with the gillmen, and in any case the gillman guide is the only solid lead they have at the moment. So she's in the "go to the gillmen" camp.

Hey guys, great RPing :)

I started up a recruitment thread recently (Sorala and Mogwai have seen it) and while I know we don't need another character, sometimes it can make the game better!

I want your input on whether any of the four real submissions might be good for this party.

1. Sulan Kator, a half-orc druid (goliath druid) 3/warrior 1. This character was shipwrecked off of another ship, and was the sole survivor of their group due to their aquatic spells. Worships Azathoth.

2. Jon Anthony, a human fighter 3/expert 1. Self-described as a Jon Wayne frontiersman, this character is an ex-mercenary who tired of working with his former company and came to Arcadia to settle down.

3. Xomec Almotil, another native Arcadian from a neighboring Northern nation. A human aegis 2/soulknife 1/warrior 1. Came down to the Southern wilderness to die after the tragic death of his husband, and happens upon the Avistani.

I'm inclined to say Sulan Kator is a good choice, because Peet is great. I sort of wish I'd recruited him in my Hell's Rebels game awhile back, because I'm consistently impressed by his writing.

Xomec did a lot of the legwork and asked questions, etc. which lets me know that they're invested in the game, which is also a plus.

I love Jon Anthony's John-Wayne sensibilities, and think it could be a fun contrast to all of our complex questions of morality.

Anyone else who uses Chrome who constantly gets logged out by the site for no apparent reason? I really wonder what is triggering that reaction from paizo.com, because I got a static IP and my browser doesn't reject cookies nor delete them after closing a session.

Yep, it seems to be a sitewide issue. I'm also having issues with my games updating, and this thread was mysteriously hidden :/

As for where we head from here, I'm good with whatever you all want to do. I'd like to hunt the cat, but I'll find justification for Sorala to go wherever the party wants to.
