So, I'm doing this just because I'm excited that we are now 3.5 weeks out from the official release date for SF2e Core rulebook! Soon we'll get to see the release version of the first six classes, and more. and while this may be unlikely in the case of SF2e, there are always the subscriber and reviewer copies that go out early, so we could be hearing news sooner than that (I don't really thinks so, but it is technically a possibility)

I’m pretty sure people who have the Starfinder subscription got Galaxy Guide early, and I know at least one reviewer who got it before other subscribers on Bluesky, so I’d definitely assume the same for other books forSF2e since digital copies are pretty easy to send out. I share in your hype ^^

Oh, I figure most of the Starfinder 2e stuff will follow suit, I just figured with the PG being one of the big tent poles at Gen Con, they might not let that slip out early. It's a theory, and one I would think reasonable if true, so I'm using it to temper my expectations.

I wonder what 1st edition APs and Adventures would be good to use for 2e for those new to starfinder? :)
Drift Crashers and Drift Hackers APs deal with some of the big changes between SF1e and SF2e, as do some of the play-test adventures, A Cosmic Birthday, and Empires Devoured.
Starfinder Society organized play season 7 meta plot deals with the planet that Murder in Metal City takes place on, it also might be a setup for season 1 of SFS 2e.
The Dead Suns AP would be a good tour of the Pact Worlds. Against the Aeon Throne would help understand the Azlanti in Starfinder to get ready for the Vesk-Azlanti war likely to break out. The Scoured Stars AP is a compilation of season 1 Starfinder Society scenarios. It would give you a good idea of what the Starfinder Society can be like, but in a full AP format.
Junker's Delight is the SF1e adventure written to help GMs new to Starfinder 1e, not sure that would help with SF2e since the rules are so different, but the same could be said about using any SF1e adventure for SF2e.
Something to keep in mind, unlike Pathfinder, organized play is considered the main storyline in Starfinder.
Something that makes Starfinder different then Pathfinder is the pop culture in Starfinder, so playing any of the scenarios with Zo! or bands like Starbarry Machine cake would be good to get a taste of that. Playing any of the Zo! Scenarios would be a good background for playing in the Guilt of the Grave World when it comes out in SF2e.
Playing any of the RPG day adventures with Skittermender pregens would be good to learn about Starfinder's most helpful species.
Lore-wise wise the books Pact Worlds and Near Space are the 2 SF1e books that will be most relevant in Sf2e, Drift Crisis would be another mostly lore book to consider.

While not an introduction like those Driftbourne mentioned, I'm planning to try and run Dawn of Flame in 2e. I'm hoping that the low amount of starship combat (despite opening with one) and fire elemental focus means that converting it to 2e shouldn't be too difficult.

That's a good point about starship combat. Most, if not all APs have some starship combat. I think out of the AP, I listed all of them have starship combat.
Drift Hackers would be easy to fix, just scale down the creature the PCs fight so it fits inside the ship, and then just run it as a normal combat.
Junkers Delight has no starship combat, none of the free RPG day adventures have ship combat either. I think most of the scenarios I was thinking oif wiht Zo! or Straberry Machine Cake don't have combat ship combat, I'm not sure about season 7 I'd have to go back and look but my internet connection keeps going out.

I also really hope we can see some of you at Gen Con for the launch! We have events and panels and lots of fun things in store for welcoming in the game ~
I wish. While I do go to a con every year, it's only about an hour away, and relatively small. Getting to Indianapolis, getting put up there, tickets, food, and Time off work (which is a relatively new job, just started in March) no way. I wish.

You will be missed, Zoken! Be sure to check out our Starfinder panels from home, which will be streamed live by Gen Con!

Is there any word on what VTTs will have Starfinder 2E support at launch? Or soon after?
Foundry says Murder in Metal City is expected to be available for download, "in August 2025", so I expect the Foundry Module will be available soon after launch if not on launch day.

Pretty sure the first StarFinder FreeRPG adventure did actually include starship combat at the very end. It wasn't really a mandatory part of it, but it did introduce a final threat to the PCs at the end of the in-person part of the adventure. I wonder if some people didn't play that part out, either because they ran out of time, or didn't have a hex grid, etc.
We didn't get all the way through SkitterCrash, so I don't know if it had an optional starship combat.

Given the amount of content in Skitter Shot prior to the final starship fight, I always, always ran out of time, whether playing or GMing it.

I wonder if it's allowed to, like, have pizza or donuts delivered to the warehouse team or something. They're gonna be working their butts off these next couple weeks.
I hope so. I mean, not that they'll have to work their butts off (They need those butts!) but that there's going to be activity around warehouses and Paizo is able to keep shipping books. I'd heard physical prints of books were kind of up in the air with all the messiness around Diamond and the distribution channels Paizo uses.

From what I understand of explanations of the situation, which I'll admit isn't 100 percent, they're not having problems with Diamond in terms of sending out books from their own warehouse. The issue is that bookstores who used Diamond as an intermediary (Amazon, Barnes and Noble, etc) are the ones who will be struggling to fulfill sales for certain companies, including Paizo. That's why the recent blog post on the matter says to either order books directly from Paizo or purchase from local game stores that also order directly from Paizo.

Got my "4 to 15 business days" email last Wednesday, so subscriber PDFs could start dropping as soon as tomorrow (although with my luck, I probably won't get mine until after official release, lol).
You end up getting another The Gap instead, by accident, six days after release

I hope there is a blog or something to help spread the word of Starbuilder when it comes out. It's become such a useful tool.
I hope there are some release festivities online. It's being released in person at Gencon, correct? Hopefully the whole Diamond fiasco won't completely ruin the premiere of the game elsewhere.

I still find it hilarious that there are actual physical copies of that book.
My hard copy fills the Gap between my Pathfinder and Starfinder books on my bookshelf. There is nothing better than having a new player in a live game ask about the Gap, having them make and pass a recall knowledge check, telling them they learned all the info in this book and then handing them The Gap.
