How to find a local PFS2 game

Pathfinder Society

Hello!

After some time away from PF, I am getting back in the swing of things, and PF2 looks lovely so far; I am quite happy with what I see. Having said that, I'd like to find a local game if possible, but it's hard to guess at where to start. Is there a database with active venture captains and where they run their games, online or (preferably) in person? I am located in Mansfield OH, in the USA, in case that helps. That's over basically the biggest little city between Cleveland and Columbus, over an hour to either. Local would be nice. :)

Thank you,

Pat

PS. I am running two current campaigns (with a third ran by one of my players), and I'm slowly convincing my group that we may want to migrate to PF2 once each current campaign runs its course. But that is probably not relevant to PFS!

A quick google search for "Ohio Pathfinder Society" turned up a few results with links to contact Venture Captains in the area. Give that a try.

Horizon Hunters

I play in Cuyahoga Falls, just north of Akron, but that seems like a hike from Mansfield.

You might want to give PFS Play by Post a try.

It's really easy to get into and everyone is very welcoming, especially to new players. They'll even get a beginner's game going for you!

You can find the RVC for your region listed here and they will be able to direct you to the closest venture officers who can help you with either joining, or in some cases if you're interested, even setting up local irl play!

(Since you did mention online as an option i'll just add that the best place to find Online region games, or get help for online games, etc is likely our main lodge on discord at http://pfschat.com/)

Silver Crusade 4/5 *** Venture-Lieutenant, Ohio—Toledo

VC Janice Piette can help you. You can find almost all of the public games in Ohio on Warhorn.

Shadow Lodge 4/5 **** Venture-Captain, Ohio—Columbus

Hi, Makarion!

We don’t currently have a group playing in Mansfield, but I have had occasional people ask. We do have active groups in Columbus, Akron, Cleveland and Toledo. All about an hour and a half from you and not really conviennent. If you would like to make the drive, maybe on a weekend, I can help you get signed up to the right Warhorns.

Would you be interested in getting a group started in the Mansfield area?

Great response Richard,

and thank you for providing the link.
As a Canadian resident, I have found the easiest way to find a local PF/PFS campaign has been to approach the local hobby store and…ask.
Many offer, and those who do not, know who does :)
As much as I could reach out to Adam Loutzenhiser (Canada) that he scour the scrolls of old and new - the RPG and ORC communities are über-keen to share locations, links and schedules to encourage continued growth.
