I wanted a thread where we could have simple one-line questions that maybe we can coax Thurston to give official answers to, instead of them being scattered all over the forum or waiting a year to be surprised. Let's keep the discussion and debate about the pros and cons of these matters to their own threads.
Already answered:
Will there still be a KAC / EAC split? No
Will flight still be available at level one? Yes.
Questions:
Will Stamina still be used?
Will easily swapable armor mods still be used?
Will Borai be a versatile heritage?

We still don't know. These things wasn't show in field tests so we yet don't know.
I don't think we can assume that "was in a field test" means that it necessarily will be in the final version. It'll tell us what they're leaning towards at the time the field test is released, but other than that?
That's why they're hoping for official Thurston answers.

Stamina is an official variant in PF2. I don't think there would really be a problem regarding compatibility if a set of rules that is an official variant in one game is the default assumptions of the other game.
It's just not a lot of people know Stamina is an official PF2 variant since I don't think I've ever come across a game that used it. But it might catch on in SF2.

I think it has been mentioned on these forums often enough that most people commonly on here know about PF2's Stamina variant rule.
But people familiar with SF1 Stamina are probably wanting more than PF2 Stamina is providing - something with a bit more depth of choice to it. All that PF2 Stamina's Resolve points are used for is healing Stamina. SF1 Resolve points do a lot more than that.
So I guess what people coming from Starfinder1e are going to be wanting is the SF1 Resolve point system rather than calling it Stamina.

Yup. There was a recent starfinder interview where they even said "Elements of the solider's design are already changed because we're still working on fleshing out new ideas and different directions." So really things are super in the air for Starfinder 2e. It is nice that they said they want to try and experiment with community playtests and see how it goes, citing how Starfinder 1e had no public playtest. So I expect we'll get more rough draft ideas posted throughout the year until the next gencon, most likely a field test of levels 1 to 5 for the Solarion, Envoy, and Mystic.
