Is there a way to add the parry trait to a trident?

Not that I am aware of.

My first thought was an Inventor Weapon Innovation. But Parry isn't on the list of things that can be added.

Why do you want to add parry to tridents instead of use a shield? Need a Free-hand?

Buckler? Still has free hand for the most part, and gives the same +1 bonus that the Parry trait gives.

Inventor needs way more weapon innovation options.

What about taking the Dueling Parry feat? That should work with a trident no problem.

Use a Gauntlet Bow so you can have a free hand, the parry AND crossbow!

They might want to use it with Whirlwind Stance: "Requirements You are wielding your staff*, which must have the parry trait."

*staff, bo staff, halfling sling staff, or any weapon in the spear or polearm group (referred to in this archetype as “your staff”)

Dueling Dance would achieve the same end goal there.

This is all assuming that RD is a fighter of course, or in your example using the Staff Acrobat archetype.

I'm making a barbarian/dual-weapon warrior who switch hits with a pair of tridents.

I was considering getting Twin Parry, but it's only worth it to me if I can get the higher bonus.
