Advice

Okay, just for fun more than anything else. I doubt I would ever get the chance to play something like this.

Greed monster

How would you make this as a player character?

Ie: Not an eidolon or whatever.

I think I would go quilpoth spawn tiefling with the monstrous mask and terrifying mask feats for the look.

Barbarian for a bite attack of some sort. Then alchemist for the two extra arms. It would be neat to have a swallow whole attack but the only way I can think of doing that is Gingerbread witch.

Gingerbread Witch is fun.

Tieflings have the Pass for Human, or whatever, alternative racial feature... take Racial Heritage Goblin, and be that Goblin Barbarian archetype called Feral Gnasher. Or Racial Heritage Orge, and be a Beastmorph Alchemist... Vestigial Head (×2) and Vestigial Arm (×2)... hilarious.

Be a Primalist Bloodrager with the Tyrant Totem.

VMC Oracle with the Covetous or Ghoul or Hunger curse?

Enchant your armor with Titanic, or whatever, to count as one size bigger... there's more... I'm sure.

I have a Trox Barbarian 7/Evangelist 6 that has Mazmezz's second Evangelist boon:
Creeping Queen
...Your lower half swells into a bloated spider’s body, complete with eight spindly legs and dripping spinnerets. You become one size category larger, but your reach and the size of weapons you wield do not change. You gain the web universal monster ability (usable seven times per day) and a climb speed of 20 feet. You gain darkvision with a range of 60 feet (or the range of your existing darkvision increases by 30 feet). Finally, you gain a permanent +2 bonus to your Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution score (your choice).

Greater Tyrant Totem and Titanic armor... built specifically for a Get-In-My-Belly type character. He pals around with a Drider Gingerbread Witch in a messed up version of Candyland.

Recently I put together a Goblin Barbarian... Feral Gnasher, obviously. Anyways, I applied the Mutant Goblin template to him for an acid breath weapon and claws with grab. Started with Noxious Bite at level 1. It's pretty wonderful.

Quite a while ago I had a Kasatha Tetori Monk with Mazmezz's 2nd Evangelist boon... 4 arms and 8 legs of grappling horror!

I knew you would answer!

I saw the Tyrant totem after I posted.

There are a lot of rage powers that help with grappling.

I'm going to look if there are any discoveries that might help.

However, you've given me some things to consider. Titanic armour and the oracle curses are great ideas. Thanks!

Here are some things I have found when building my characters... a lot of the ways to gain Swallow Whole just say some dumb $#!+ like "you swallow the opponent as if you had the swallow whole special ability", or point you towards the universal monster rules. The thing is, those aforementioned rules don't actually provide a formula for you to calculate your Swallow Whole damages... said rules say the damages will be listed in the creature's stats. Lol.

Tyrant Totem, Greater (Su) (Ultimate Wilderness pg. 36): While raging, the barbarian gains swallow whole as per the universal monster rule. A barbarian must be at least 12th level to choose this rage power.

Gluttonous Gobbler (this is why I said Racial Heritage Ogre for your Tiefling Alchemist, BTW)
Prerequisite(s): Both Improved Unarmed Strike and Improved Grapple or the grab ability, ogre, size Large or larger.

Benefit(s): If you start your turn grappling another creature at least two size categories smaller than you, you can put the grappled creature in your mouth as a move action and attempt another grapple combat maneuver check (as though attempting to pin the opponent). If you succeed, you swallow the opponent as if you had the swallow whole special ability.

Swallow Whole (Ex)
Source Bestiary 6 pg. 299, Pathfinder RPG Bestiary pg. 305, Bestiary 2 pg. 302, Bestiary 3 pg. 300, Bestiary 4 pg. 300, Bestiary 5 pg. 300
If a creature with this special attack begins its turn with an opponent grappled in its mouth (see Grab), it can attempt a new combat maneuver check (as though attempting to pin the opponent). If it succeeds, it swallows its prey, and the opponent takes bite damage. Unless otherwise noted, the opponent must be at least one size category smaller than the swallowing creature. Being swallowed causes a creature to take damage each round. The amount and type of damage vary and are given in the creature’s statistics. A swallowed creature keeps the grappled condition, while the creature that did the swallowing does not. A swallowed creature can try to cut its way free with any light slashing or piercing weapon (the amount of damage required for the creature to cut itself free is equal to 1/10 the creature’s total hit points), or it can just try to escape the grapple. The Armor Class of the interior of a creature that swallows whole is normally 10 + 1/2 its natural armor bonus, with no modifiers for size or Dexterity. If a swallowed creature cuts its way out, the swallowing creature cannot use swallow whole again until the damage is healed. If the swallowed creature escapes the grapple, it ends up back in the attacker’s mouth, where it may be bitten or swallowed again.

Format: swallow whole (5d6 acid damage, AC 15, 18 hp);
Location: Special Attacks.

The only formula we get is from the Eidolon Evolution: Swallowed creatures take an amount of bludgeoning damage equal to the bite damage each round + 1d6 points of damage.

Just food for thought...

Cool. Thanks!

I'm making this pc right now. Just buying equipment.

Given the overall lack of an actual formula to figure out your Swallow Whole damages/effects, I would definitely make sure you have other tricks up your sleeve. The idea is awesome, but without the amount and type of damage given in the creature’s statistics, it ultimately is not worth slowing gameplay to argue about. Save it for targets that are already near dead, don't try end the final boss fight in the first round by swallowing the BBEG.

For your other Rage Powers, I think Body Bludgeon and Bloody Fist go well with Tyrant Totem. If you already are going to have something grappled with your bite, you might as well be able to thrash it around and smash it into others. Biting vital organs out of your target on a crit is just cool.

I took the liberty of allowing the Feral Gnasher's Lockjaw ability to apply to Swallow Whole gained from Tyrant Totem... the thought of a wee little Goblin being able to swallow something several times bigger than itself is just too freaking funny.

Well this was just for fun as I said in the first post. Doubt there would ever be a game I would be allowed to play this. ;)

For rage powers I took savage jaws for some better grappling and rabid or raging grappler so you can make your opponent prone when you pass any grapple check. Take down! :)

They make great enemy NPC's. Swallowing party members is hilarious. My Tyrant Totem Feral Gnasher Mutant Goblin is mostly designed to eat the party's Familiars and Animal Companions. He turned out to be actually pretty decent, though, and hold his own well enough... packing a Venomous Bite that does 1D4 Con damage requiring two consecutive DC 19 saves (DC 22 when raging), on top of the poison Noxious Bite adds 1 point of acid damage and a DC 19 (22 when raging) save or be nauseated. He also has a 12D6 acid breath weapon usable every 1D4 rounds. Both his bite and claws have the grab ability, and he has Swallow Whole from Greater Tyrant Totem. I may actually advance him two more levels just for Feast of Blood.

One of my best encounters as a GM involved a Jotund Troll swallowing the party's Rogue. The aforementioned Rogue asked if said Jotund Troll was denied its Dexterity bonus to AC for attacks coming from inside itself... I immediately said yes, rule of cool, didn't and don't care about the actual rules... the Rogue easily did enough damage to escape, but again asked me a question I had never heard.

Can I stay in? Like do I have to exit?

Just took the 4D6+15 damage every round until the top half of the troll fell lifelessly to the ground, leaving the legs still standing with a bloodied Rogue up to his waste in guts doing his happy dance in its pelvis.

An NPC was an idea if I ever to a home brew game again. :)

I used Jotund Troll before...can't remember if he swallowed any pcs?

That's a pretty funny visual of the rogue. I think I would make the pcs hold their breath when swallowed.

As for Feast of Blood. I think it's more cool thematically than a great ability. It should allow you to make an intimidate check against the creature and its allies with a massive bonus vs the creature.

So should Bloody Fist.

Speaking of which.

***Bloody Fist (Ex)

Prerequisite(s): Barbarian 12

Benefit(s): While raging, the barbarian may attempt to punch through an opponent’s flesh and rip out one of its vital organs. In order to do so, the barbarian must confirm a critical hit against an opponent with a natural attack or unarmed strike. The barbarian deals damage as normal for a critical hit and the opponent must succeed at a Fortitude save (DC = 10 + 1/2 the barbarian’s class level + the barbarian’s Strength modifier) or take 1d4 points of Constitution damage as one of its vital organs is ripped free from its body.

This power can only be used once per rage.***

"as one of its vital organs is ripped free from its body."

That organ doesn't seem very vital. ;)
