This question pertains to the Super Fun Bounty Castle.
Hello GM, I am still making the final finishing touches to Chance, but I anticipate finishing her up today.
Will you have an RPG Chronicles Sign-up link for us?
Hmm

It's a DMK first, but let's give it a shot:

I've added Talgoth to the RPG Chronicles page for Bounty 4. I'll try to get his stat block & intro posted tonight.

Thank you!

By the way... I am having a weird moment here. I wrote both the dirindi and the worlanisi, and I'm now playing one race in an adventure that features the other race! So exciting to see a dirindi, and be on Arkanen, a planet that I have written a ton of lore for!
#freelancer_goals
It's also fun to see how many of us are small!

Awesome, I didn't know. Love what you're writing, Zoey's big sister Momo has the esper theme.

@Hmm: Meranthi (Lego/BUDI) and I just played the other Bounty #4 last night, with our home group. That was fun!

![]() |

If you want to have a minion speak, do you have to create a new PFS character for them?
Nope, it's not a requirement. I just love my minions! I have decided though that the Research Rat franchise is totally a thing, though!

I meant more how do you do that? If you want to, do you need to create a spare character to make it happen?

![]() |

You can create aliases that are not OrgPlay characters. You can do that in your Account Settings.
Non-OrgPlay aliases have red names.
Primary IDs have blue names.
OrgPlay characters have green names.
(Which will do you no good if you are colorblind, but hey...)
THE PROCESS
Click on My Account
Select Account Settings from the menu and sign in.
Under Message Board Aliases click the button that says Create New Alias.

![]() |

Danke from me, too! I'll need that for another game I just signed up for. My feychild envoy has acquired a big, fluffy mount since his previous PBP game.

![]() |

Ooh, do you have a laser puppy? Xeeter retrained to get himself a laser puppy!
EDIT
I realize that I haven't updated his profile in a while. He's level 7 now...

Nope, Tokno got a wolliped. So SUPER fluffy!
In his one previous PBP game, he traveled with a character who rode a yasakaja, and used his wildwise augmentation to convince a jinsul's guard-beast not to fight after we killed its master. So afterwards, he decided it was time to embrace his beast-speaker ancestry more fully.
Edit: Now that I think about it, he might need to pick up a level of xenodruid mystic just for Speak with Animals...

![]() |

After looking at the possibility of Tokno dipping mystic, I decided it made too much sense for him NOT to retrain a level (though I'll be surprised if he ever takes more than one more level of it). That makes him my first-ever multiclassed SF character. And he's not a typical xenodruid, as he's a devotee of Arshea and Shelyn rather than any nature-based faith.
(FWIW, Tokno is the character I'll be playing when Kludde starts up Truth of the Seeker in the near future, which is why I've been working on him.)

![]() |

A lot of people I know dip a level of Mystic for the first level power and the Share Language spell. That spell is so useful in Society Play.

![]() |

I'm debating on Share Language for Tokno, since he already has has Universal Diplomat. But yes, that spell is useful enough that Connection Inkling is on the short list for future feats for my operative, who has has kind of accidentally found a second calling as a first-contact specialist. (Dipping away from operative would be suboptimal in almost every way for her.)

![]() |

Hey, HMM, would you mind if I jumped on the Research Rat bandwagon? Almost all my SF characters have hirelings and it would be great to have more that "some creature follows you around offering advice."

![]() |

I think I'll have to remember Research Rat for the next hireling I purchase, too. Most of my PCS have hirelings, but I can only recall one with any real color: my android technomancer/lawyer/astronomer has a sharply dressed, highly professional verthani woman named Tuesday to handle all the social niceties that they can't be bothered with.
Talgoth doesn't have a hireling yet, but could probably use one. But for now, he's a brand-new PC who only very recently escaped from life on Apostae, so it doesn't really fit the paranoid loner vibe that he needs some time to grow out of to become a proper Starfinder. ;)

![]() |

I have several allies with quite a bit of color. Magical Mu has her Fight Club, four allies from an Alien Allies boon that serves as her cheering squad. They offer Mu's Fight Club T-Shirts and coffee to everyone. Charli has Spoons, a marketing intern with Poshkettle Tea who continually tries out new Poshkettle Tea marketing slogans while providing their technical assistance. Bat Elf has Alfred the Android, her butler / camera person / mental health professional. Since Bat Elf is an Operative, I've never bothered to actually improve him as a hireling. He's there to provide color, hold up "POW!" and "BLAMMO!" signs, and as explanation for how all of Bat Elf's episodes are being filmed.
In PBP, you can really develop your hireling's personalities.
Hmm

Those sound like great fun! I do like the extra role-playing that PBP allows in general, because the clock isn't ticking as constantly as it does in live games. Tokno's Tune-Bot ally (who has a very basic artificial personality installed) got a few lines now and then in his previous PBP outing, and now I will get the chance to do more with his fur-baby than I usually have time for at a table.
(If I ever play my technomancer on PBP, I will need to give some time and thought to their portable computer's artificial personality, which is much more advanced than Tokno's.)
My operative has a hireling only because she ran out of other ways to spend her Fame when that was about to go away, but she's never actually used them. She's a daredevil ace pilot who's been partying with yetis pre-mission since 2nd level, and no other Ally boon could ever outperform that one for her. (Boost all of her best skills, and her worst save? No brainer!) She's even had a Muckfur painted on her jetpack for the past 6-7 levels.

I've changed my mind on Talgoth's faction. I don't have a Cognates PC yet (just a bonus Rep or two on one or two PCs dedicated to other factions) and Talgoth most likely won't ever be a technology-focused PC, so we'll try this out for size. I've updated RPG Chronicles, the slides, and his profile page.

![]() |

Unless other folks have hirelings, it looks like Voltaire is our only person with Life Science trained. If our raxillite friend fails their roll, Chance can use her Worlanisi Gamble ability to give Chance a reroll.
Once per day as a reaction when the worlanisi or an ally they can see within 15 feet rolls an attack roll, saving throw, or skill check, the worlanisi causes that creature to roll twice and take the better result.

![]() |

Are you keeping that roll, Lego? And do you have Vestments in addition to a Campaign Coin?

![]() |

I didn't know until recently that they changed the wording on the perks for the Campaign Coin, allowing you to slot it with another promotional item.
In the Starfinder Society program, the following benefits are offered for each accessory category. A player may not benefit from more than one of these per session, with the exception of the Campaign Coin benefit.

Happy Thursday from Italy! Apologies if my posting is slower than usual, but i have all these spectacular landmarks and monuments distracting me. Will try to get something in later.

Will be a little slow this weekend.

I am prone to moments of debilitating proofreading blindness, with the consequence of unintentionally omitting a negation. “A sight i will not forget easily” was meant of course.

BOUNTY CASTLE
Chance looks around at the discussion thread, waves briefly at the gamers from the Truth of the Seeker table, and then promptly ignores them to focus on her own game of Bounty Castle.

![]() |

TRUTH OF THE SEEKER
Tokno waves back at Chance, and the wolliped he is riding bellows a greeting as well, but they both look suspiciously at the sketchy half-orc that the worlanisi is traveling with. Then they return their attention to their own mission.
It's going to take some getting used to posts in this thread showing up as new for both games...

![]() |

Truth of the Seeker: Rilynn has a little leveling-up left to do, but I'll get that done by tomorrow. Cheers!

ATTENTION ALL GAMERS

TRUTH OF THE SEEKER
The player info slide was copied over from the bounty but still has that other game's info in it. I've overwritten my line with Tokno's data, but left the rest of it alone. I think we have two other players in both games?

Yes, that was some sloppy copying. I told the minions to put a fresh roll of paper in, and I've cleared any remaining names.

No biggie. Now you just need to cajole everyone else into filling it out, and giving you some tokens!

![]() |

BOUNTY CASTLE
So, Talgoth's Stealth modifier, pre-spell, is greater than the entire rest of the party added together? Oh, dear...
Let's hope we don't need to rely too heavily on ranged combat, either. :P

BOUNTY CASTLE
Chance has no skills. Seriously. I can't even afford Perception.
