Heck even without reliable Internet AoN is an unreliable option. Maybe its just the times slot we play in, but there is about a 30% chance AoN is just not responsive for a good 30 minutes of a session.
That's happened to my group too. We all have stable internet connections, we have to because we meet online, but there have been more than a few times where AoN is undergoing some kind of maintenance or something, and the pages will load super slowly, or may not load at all. I suppose the problem can be circumvented by saving some of the more oft-visited pages, but generally we go to AoN to see how an obscure rule works, or to refresh our memory about a particular spell.

I can't say I've ever had much of a problem myself: only once I can recall and it was down for 10 min. Now, I can see where it might be dependent on when I usually check it but, but about 20% of the time I could be on at any time. My internet connection craps out far more than the site itself.

For some games, I copy/paste info that I think might be relevant into a document, my online sheet or in an empty thread [if I have access to create them].
Yeah, offline archives would be great.
Yes, it would be nice.

From my perspective as a Starfinder player I just can't wait on Archive of Nethys. Galactic Magic took two months. Tech Revolution took three. Compare and contrast that with PF2e where they're on top of it in less than 30 days.
Starfinder's catalog falls short in a few other ways as well. Less linkage for instance -- god help you if you want to cross-reference poison rules while looking at radiation, or the physical disease track.
Also you have to do the grafts manually -- so while they have stats for a generic elemental, they do not have stats for an air elemental -- you have to go chase down the specific air elemental traits yourself. Compare this with the new Alien Archive cards released recently (super useful, in my opinion) where EVERY variant of an elemental has a card for it.
