PaizoCon 2022 Warhorn sign up

PaizoCon General Discussion

Warhorn sign up for players was last announced for April 16th, this Saturday. Is this still true?

Exo-Guardians

From a recent blog post

"PaizoCon GM selections will close this Saturday, April 9; after this point, GM schedules can only be changed with the organizing committee’s approval. Player signups will open to GMs on Wednesday, April 13th; to Warhorn VIPs on April 15; and to all players on April 16. Unfortunately I have no new information to share on badge sales; please email paizocon@paizo.com with any such questions."

Unless something changes, April 16th is still the day most players can pick games.

Exo-Guardians

Naturally, something changed. Stay tuned to the Paizo blog / social media for more details.

Is Warhorn going to be open to everyone who registers for the physical con on Warhorn? Or is there some kind of ticket cross-referencing happening with actual Paizo ticket holders?

Tickets still aren't in our accounts and I'm sure I'm not the only one who needs to transfer a ticket to someone, so hopefully they show up soon.

We will be automatically synchronizing online or in-person badge-holding information several times a day. This synchronization will approve an attendee's Warhorn registration and assign them the proper roles for event signup depending on their badge type. The following things must be true for this to work, however:

- Attendee must have a PaizoCon 2022 in-person or online badge
- Attendee must be registered for the PaizoCon 2022 event on Warhorn
- Attendee must be using the same email address for both their Paizo account and for Warhorn

Attendees who do not (but should) have a badge on their Paizo account, who use different email addresses between their Paizo and Warhorn accounts, or who find that their Warhorn permissions haven't been updated within a business day of acquiring a badge despite meeting all the criteria should open a ticket with Customer Service to have their individual situation resolved.

Please note that we likely won't begin regularly synchronizing badge information until the week prior to sign-ups becoming available, as there is little that can be done with the permissions before then anyway. We'll still do occasional syncs prior to that so that people can see that they're good to go, but it won't be as regular or often.

So is it safe to say that badges will be visible in our accounts and available for transfer before badge synchronization and Warhorn validation begins?

Hey, Tom. Some of this is outside my wheelhouse, so I double-checked with CS and convention planning folk for you.

Online-only tickets went live for sale last week. People who purchased those tickets should see badges available on their account immediately upon purchase. Said badges will be marked as "Regular" for now, but will transition to "Online" automatically in the coming weeks. We're keeping track of which are which in the meantime, so no one should be concerned if they bought an Online ticket but see a Regular badge.

Due to a lowered in-person capacity, only people who purchased in-person 2020 convention tickets have been granted 2022 in-person badges at this time. Everyone who purchased in-person 2020 ticket(s) should see Regular 2022 badge(s) attached to their account at this time. We are aware that in some cases people who purchased 2020 in-person tickets and who did not request refunds are not seeing Regular 2022 badges as they should.

If anyone who purchased any kind of ticket isn't seeing the badge or badges on their account that they believe they should, please raise an issue with CS by emailing customer.service@paizo.com. They will either be able to get you squared away immediately, or they will flag your issue so they can provide you with updates as we work to resolve the broader problem.

We began synchronizing badges to Warhorn registrations today at a frequency of once per business day. We currently aren't experiencing any issues with Warhorn synchronization, so I would expect that any person who can see PaizoCon 2022 badges of any type on their account should see their corresponding Warhorn registration updated within a business day. People who don't have a Warhorn registration or who registered for Warhorn with a different email address should look for an email correspondence shortly from PaizoCon staff with further instructions.

Getting everyone's badge and Warhorn account registration and permissions squared away before we open up event registration is one of our highest priorities.

That sounds like our situation. We rolled over 2020 badges to 2022. I'll email customer service.
