Using Different materials with Magnetic Acceleration

Rules Discussion

If i use a piece of cold iron, silver, etc.. with the Magnetic Acceleration spell will that trigger weaknesses from demons, devils, fey, etc..?
Also, would adamantine bypass hardness on Golems?

Horizon Hunters

I would allow it.
The main question is whether or not Adamantine is magnetic.

On that subject, silver isn't especially magnetic, just saying.

Well the spell just asks for a small metal object like a coin. So i guess it doesn't matter? I could fire off gold coins if i wanted.

Liberty's Edge

I'm not seeing any clauses that mention that appropriate Special Material traits should or should NOT apply, unlike Telekinetic Projectile.

Also, another thing that I find VERY interesting, this is another spell that can target and damage Objects effectively.

The GMG actually implies the targeting can be pretty loose, as does the Item Damage section. The "Saying 'Yes, but'" section uses casting produce flame at a barrel as an example.

I find that whole "can't target objects" ridiculous.
