Mage Hand Magic Trick and Esoteric Magus

Rules Questions

The Magic Trick feat can, if focusing on Mage Hand, allow you to throw a punch for 1d3 Str damage. Per the feat this is a Melee Attack using your Int, Wis or Cha (whichever is better) for the attack bonus and only deals 1d3 damage.

An Esoteric Magus gets Improved Unarmed Strike as a bonus feat and can enhance unarmed strikes as if they were manufactured weapons with their Arcane Pool. However, could an Esoteric Magus enhance their 1d3 damage Mage Hand Magic Trick with the same pool? All this would give would be bonuses to attack and at higher level some energy damage, but I also figured that the Magus could use Spell Combat to Swift Action spend a point from Arcane Pool, punch with their normal attack, cast Mage Hand and then make an attack with that spell, and if it counts both his punch and the Mage Hand punch would have the benefit of the Arcane Pool.

Does that not work?

I don't think Arcane Pool or even Amulet of Mighty Fists would affect the Magic Trick Throw Punch, as the feat spells out exactly what attack bonus and damage to use and never mentions that it is an unarmed strike itself.

It would not work. Arcane Pool requires a weapon (Esoteric allows unarmed strikes). The Mage Hand trick does not produce a weapon for you to attack with and you aren't making contact with the target (specifically for the unarmed strike to be applicable). There is nothing to 'transfer' the energy from your Arcane Pool into.

Cool idea though.
