psychic Duels and At will SLAs

Rules Questions

Silver Crusade

SO.. I've been reading over the psychic duels for a campaign... you can sacrifice SLA's to gain MP as though it were a spell. How does this deal with at will SLAs? Can someone with at will gaseous form "expend" a charge to get 3 MP every round?

Example-

A vampire is pulled into a psychic duel. They can cast Gaseous form at will as a SLA. Can they "expend" a charge each round to get 3 MP?

Another question outside this one- DO enemies pulled into a psychic duel automatically know what is going on/what to do?

Sacrificing Spell-Like Abilities to Generate MP: A combatant can sacrifice a use of a spell-like ability in a way similar to sacrificing spells to generate MP. However, each at-will spell-like ability can be sacrificed only once during a single psychic duel; it is not a source of infinite MP.

Silver Crusade

completely overlooked that in my reading. I feel sheepish.

Psychic duel rules

In short, when your opponent is pulled into the sheer weirdness of a dueling mindscape, they know what's going on. They even know that it's an illusionary effect, but can't do much about it other than fight you.

Still, there's plenty of things with 10+ at will SLA's, so it can fry your mind and then have plenty of juice to fry your body afterwards.

Silver Crusade

frying peoples minds in a psychic duel is a lot harder than you would think. I'd wager a psychic could hold his own vs a dragon for a while. Even in regards to a full psychic vs a pure fighter. The fighter can put up the semblance of a fight and drain the psychic more than you would think. Especially since to the fighter(if the player is a psychic) its do or die so repercussions of pulling all their MP from ability scores is not as big an issue.
