A single, just one, 9th level spell.

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Is there ANY way to get just ONE 9th level spell with any class that isnt at Wizard/Sorcerer BAB (so any class that has 3/4 or FULL BAB) to get the cast of a single 9th level spell? Just choosing a single 9th level spell. Nothing else.

Our master allows EVERY 3rd party feat and some 3rd party classes, so you can suggest everything.

To explain why : i need timestop.
I want to build a character that can use a ZA WARUDO like ability, i'm literally trying to build Dio Brando, but not necessarily with vampire like abilities. I just want to stop time somehow, idc about getting any other spell. (DOESNT MATTER THE LEVEL IF IT'S UNDER LEVEL 20)

A cleric with the time domain.

Or an Oracle with the Time mystery.

The trickery domain also has time stop. The shaman lore spirit (also accessible by spirit guide oracles) gets time stop.

The eldritch knight prestige class is another way. There's other prestige classes with better than 1/2 BAB too. If you can import prestige classes from D&D 3.5 look for the swiftblade.

Contingency spells (contingent action, contingent scroll, contingency) could fake time stop to some degree. Contingent action is even potion-able, and an alchemist or investigator could reuse such a potion with a 2nd level spell slot.

In 3rd party there's classes which are all about this, the time thief or the time warden which have 3/4 BAB. The temporal acceleration psionic power is accessible by the dread character class (also 3/4 BAB) and it's basically time stop.

Praise your new deity, Shivaska, the Chained Maiden, or Yhidothrus, the Ravage Worm! Obey, focus and be rewarded with time stop as SLA at character level 16. Laugh at the wizard who doesn't get the spell yet, laugh at them because you don't have to deal with pathetic verbal or somatic components, laugh at them since they are nothing compared to the glory of your deity! I will now go and collect my agency fees...

Damn, and a Feysworn to Shyka only gets one round of time stop at 14th level, not 1d4+1 rounds at 16. >.<

i saw that and i think it can be a good one all around. Point is, is it possible to build a viable Oracle Time Mystery based on unarmed strikes? (it is Dio after all)

I don't know Dio Brando at all, I just googled him and the image looks vaguely famiar but I've never watched it.

You could take a level of Scaled Fist Monk (Unchained) to get a 1d6 damage Improved Unarmed strike, CHA-to-AC and a bonus feat, but it would slow your Oracle progression.

Or you could just use some fist-weapons (eg Caestus) and wear armour. They'e not the most optimised weapons but they're fine.

That' all I got =P

UMD & Scroll of Time Stop?

Since 3rd party is OK, you could use Time Stop, Lesser

Sure, a Spirit Guide Oracle with the Ascetic mystery.

The Ascetic mystery basically turns Oracles into Monks, and the Lore Spirit of the Shaman gives you access to Time Stop.

Another option is to use UMD and a Soothsayer's Raiment to take the Ascetic Martial Disciple revelation with any mystery of your choice (Oracles can still use UMD to get a revelation from that armor).
If 3rd-party stuff is allowed, you can instead use the Strange Revelation feat to access revelations from other Oracle mysteries.

I do think basic shaman is a good option here, but if you are just going for the Tim Stop flavor, any character + VMC wizard can Time Stutter at 15th level, although it’s much weaker obviously. E.g., straight unchained monk, and you can also Teleport short distances from the VMC, which also kind of looks like Time Stop.

Edit: Speaker for the Past Shaman could make for a pretty strong Time Stopping unarmed fighter.

Edit: removed inaccuracy

i stand corrected.

Silver Crusade

A Speaker for the Past Shaman also adds Time Stop to their spell list.
EDIT: Lelomenia mentioned this earlier.

On a weirder note, a medium can pull any 9th level spell 1/day... at 17th level using the appropriate spirit.
